Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 939 939: Thoughts?

Chapter 939 939: Thoughts?

After a few minutes of nothing happening, Gaia suddenly appeared. She seemed a little shocked, more so at the fact that these two people whom Rael promised to save were now lying on the ground headless.

He used a fair bit of power, so their injuries weren't even healing that well either. Still, they weren't dead, and that was all that really mattered. Though... there was also one teeny tiny caveat, and that was the fact that Rael was a bit bored after all of this.

It was less of a problem when it came to them being weak, but more of a problem when it came to him just living life. Sure, he had other plans, but the fact that he was now at the pinnacle pretty much made him not want to do anything anymore.

The will to get stronger? There wasn't any. The will to actually do something productive? There wasn't any of that either. In the end, Rael was now just someone who was satisfied with his power so much, to the point where he could go ahead and do whatever he wanted.

But doing everything he wanted also had its downsides. Because there were so few things he wanted nowadays. Maybe he was just overthinking things because he had only recently gotten so much power.

Welp.

Whatever the case may be, he glanced over at Gaia and smiled.

"So, where do you think we should put these people?"

She thought it over for a moment, then shrugged. "You're responsible for them, not me. I didn't even want to bring them out. In fact, I was planning on settling the cracks in Yggdrasil and just erasing them out of existence. They're only alive because of you."

Afterwards, she went ahead and placed a hand over their shoulders, speeding up their regeneration slightly as well as knocking them out. She clearly didn't want them to wake up and stir trouble again, and Rael respected that.

Still, the sheer fact that both of them managed to survive such an injury had already placed them above many others. On that topic though, Gaia went ahead and sat down beside Rael, wanting to give him an earful.

After all, while he had no idea about it... she was able to pry into his mind and practically see everything he was thinking. For one, it was weird that he was already considering himself at the top of the food chain, especially since she was standing right beside him.

Sure, he had a lot of time and a lot of opportunities to get stronger... but her Law of Life, the Law that primarily encompasses her entire being, had already reached a Mastery percentage of 28,505%.

So while he thought he was overpowered, the current Gaia could snuff out the entire multiverse with a single snap of her fingers. The Ambassadors of the Universe did seem a little interesting, but even then, she could kill them all very easily.

It wasn't her first time hearing about those people, and for one, she had already killed a few of those people due to some personal reasons. But according to Rael, she would need to face some of those people tomorrow.

Sighing in exhaustion, Gaia had no idea how to cheer him up. He wasn't a baby anymore, so she decided to be upfront with him.

"Stop thinking about the future when you're still stuck in the past. Do you even have anything to worry about in the future? No. You need to worry about what's in front of you too. You're strong enough now to the point where you can dedicate every day to doing whatever you want."

She narrowed her eyes.

"But that doesn't mean you're allowed to be an idiot. So stop acting like one and cheer up."

With that, she tapped him on the shoulder and then stood up. She glanced down, thinking about what else to say, but having nothing else to add, she decided to just walk up to Altros and Melissa, toss them onto her shoulders, and then walk away.

Rael stared at her departing figure, then sighed. He knew that he was being a bit unreasonable in some aspects, but... why exactly did her words sting so much? It wasn't like he did something wrong. All he did was think.

Was he pissed because she was pissed?

"Jeez... I'm such an idiot."

He finally stood up and then dusted himself off. She was right, thinking so far into the future was unhealthy, so instead, he decided to dedicate his time to the present. In that regard, Rael quickly caught up with Gaia and realized that she had already formed a portal back home.

She stepped through it with the siblings on her shoulders, and Rael followed right after, watching as the portal abruptly closed. As for where Gaia had brought these people, it was none other than Celestara, the mansion, rather.

"Are you sure you want them to be in our home?" Rael asked with a sigh as he glanced out the window. Evidently, he wasn't gone for that long, so he managed to spot Melina and Lilith still working on the ship.

They were fixing it, tinkering with it to be faster, and lastly... slightly ruining its natural color. For some reason, Lilith decided to paint the front in red frames, making it seem like a pirate ship that belonged to a toddler.

As for Melina, she painted the rest in black and white, going for some kind of calm appearance. But sadly for her, this ship looked anything but calm, as the flames were just stupid.

Naturally, Rael didn't say anything about it since he didn't care that much. But from the looks of things, Zafira had also chimed in to help. She was actively painting the deck and fixing some of the damage.

Evidently, she finally had something to do. Ruling this country had long since gotten boring for her, after all.

Anyways...

"Let's get them sorted and then have a little talk, shall we?"
