Chapter 958 958: Entering The Akashic Records

"You idiot..." Nyx said, appearing beside him and grasping his collar. "Are you trying to get yourself killed on purpose?"

"Just read my mind," Rael replied, and it seemed like he didn't have to say anything in the first place, since both the women did it. And as expected, they had come to the same conclusion he did, except that they weren't as experimental as him.

"What makes you think that going into the Prophetic Realm won't actually toss you in there too? You were able to interact with reality when you were in the Prophetic Realm last time," Gaia said, approaching him too and placing a hand over his shoulder.

"It's dangerous."

Rael nodded with a faint smile. He already knew the risks and dangers, but then again, he was already really close to an answer. He could feel it.

"I wonder, if I go in there, how long would I be stuck?"

Nyx grumbled. "If there are millions of versions of beings similar to you, then you'll definitely be in there for infinity. Sorry, but no matter what you say, we're not letting you inside."

With that, Gaia tapped the back of his neck, as if intent on knocking him out. Yet Rael was already prepared for something like this to happen, since while he was waiting for them, he had played out a few scenarios inside his mind.

And in one of those scenarios, she tried doing exactly that.

Though since Rael was already prepared for this, he merely smiled at her, and then went ahead and entered his Prophetic Realm and stepped into the gravitational pull of the Akashic Records.

As expected, whenever he didn't refuse the pull, Rael was pulled nearly instantly.

And by the time he realized what was happening, his vision had already faded, as there was nothing left but the absence of time, and a body. More importantly, Rael found it a little hard to distinguish between the Prophetic Realm and reality for a brief moment.

But once that brief moment passed, Rael could distinguish them once more. That meant if he so much as wanted to, he would have no problem actually going back. Though, he felt a little strange. There was supposed to be some kind of library, according to Tiamat.

Maybe it came after?

Hmm... This is really sketchy. Reminds me of that movie where that young lad had an arrow on his head. Maybe I'll see my ancestors? Rael wondered with a slight chuckle.

Just then, all of his senses returned, and before he knew it, he stood in the very center of an old-looking library. The scent of both new books and old reached his nose.

More importantly, when he glanced at the table in front of him, Rael spotted that with every single thought that he had processed, words and sentences were being written in front of him. Almost like his entire life was being documented.

It wasn't a very pleasant feeling, but seeing how he couldn't really do anything to stop it, Rael decided to just accept that something like this was possible and move on. More importantly, when he glanced around, despite the library seeming large, there weren't that many books.

At most, a few hundred. Rael was glad that his worries weren't true. With only a couple hundred books, he could be done with them in either a few weeks or maybe a few years. It was much better than spending eons inside of here.

So without hesitation, Rael went ahead and approached one of the first books on the list. It seemed like one of the newest ones, given the smell. The first thing Rael saw when he opened the book was a name, and it was a name he didn't recognize.

Uriel Ark.

The first few pages were simple, as they included his early life, and how ordinary he was. Though, when he turned 18 years old, he suddenly got an abundance of power, to the point where in less than a few weeks, he had become the strongest being in his galaxy.

A month later, the strongest being in the universe. A year later, the strongest being in all of the universes combined. It was an insane growth of power, something that Rael partially shared with this being. Except unlike Rael, this being didn't have a system.

Most of his strength came from learning techniques and studying them long and hard. There were masteries, and even some other means of getting stronger, most of which Rael had never even tried before. Still, it seemed effective enough, as this Uriel guy managed to get to the very top of the universe.

And as it so happened, this Uriel person had encountered Ren. From the looks of things, in the past, Ren was an innocent kid, and one of the only Concepts to seemingly be born human. The reason he ascended to the level of a Concept to begin with was because he was incapable of learning any other Laws except for the Law of Creation.

Still, their journey together only lasted a few hundred years, until Uriel went out to explore the universe. He had actually come to the Akashic Records, read two books out of the several thousand, and then left.

It was surprising, since according to Tiamat, one couldn't just leave that place before they finished reading. But it seemed like so long as one was strong enough to break through the basic shackles of the Akashic Records, that being the very powerful gravitational field in the very center, they could theoretically escape before the requirement was met.

Rael smiled in satisfaction and continued reading, flipping page after page. This guy had an eventful life, even for someone so strong. Building universes, destroying them, then rebuilding them once more. Some time down the line, he began dabbling in rune making, while also using the Akashic Records as a neutral energy source.

And within just a few years, he managed to come up with the first iteration of the system.
