Chapter 977: Whoops
Chapter 977: Whoops
Though from the looks of things, there were some beings who had even more power than him. Obviously, the margin wasn’t that big, as Rael’s powers were already astronomical.
However, their powers were interesting. With a mere thought, these people were able to erase a chunk of a universe, or even more, they could literally restart history with a single thought.
That amount of power was just surreal to Rael. Honestly... Even with his current power set, and if he were to destroy the entire multiverse, he wouldn’t be able to restart it, per se.
Letting out a sigh, Rael scrolled through some names, and then found his own. Clicking on it, there were a bunch of notes, characteristics, and even goals. Clicking on the goals, Rael realized that they were blank.
Puzzled, he glanced through the other folders too, and found that aside from the names on each of the folders, all of them were empty. Was that the case for the others too?
Rael scrolled through them as well, and surprisingly, all of them were filled with goals and other stuff. So he was the exception, in this case. How odd...
"Hmm."
Rael went back into his folder and started checking everything. Goals, wives, powers, fate, everything. There really wasn’t anything. He was just a blank slate. But why? Why was he any different?
Did he break out of his fate, perhaps? Maybe it was instance-based, so he couldn’t see his own. Maybe someone else could see it? Eh... At this point, Rael was just grasping at straws, and if he learned something in the last dozen years, it was that assumptions, no matter how little, were worse than the truth.
So for the time being, he decided to ignore what he was seeing, and instead, he went ahead and did a little bit of tinkering around. He went into the folder where all the Supreme Gods of the Multiverse were, and then, he began selecting every single being who was not him.
Once all of them were selected, Rael coughed, and then hit delete. In an instant, the monitor, or rather, the invisible computer froze. Rael thought he had accidentally fucked the entire multiverse of multiverses.
However, he was wrong, as before he knew it, the computer started moving again. Just this time, the folder he had touched was empty. Everyone except him was gone. Rael gulped at the realization that he had basically just killed off the most powerful beings in their own respective multiverses.
But then again... How was he supposed to hold back? This was like going up to a toddler, handing him a big red button, and telling him not to press that big red button.
Simply put, this wasn’t his fault.
Though right as Rael was about to head up toward the computer, he suddenly felt a powerful force pulling him back. He couldn’t resist it, as all he felt was his consciousness fading away, until eventually, Rael fell into slumber.
Or not.
His body subconsciously jolted him out of it, forcing him to look at what was pulling him. Yet there was no one. He was actually walking back by himself, as though someone was controlling his body.
But that wasn’t the case. He could stop whenever he wanted to, so he did. Sadly, by the time he glanced back toward the computer, it was no longer there, and in its place was the same hole as before. Except this time, he saw Gaia on the other side, waiting for him patiently.
Letting out a sigh, Rael realized that his time here was up. So of course, he slowly made his way toward Gaia, and finally passed through that same boundary as earlier.
Though it was a bit different now. There was no headache, nor was there any discomfort. In fact, he felt pretty good right about now. Even better when he realized that there were no more black boxes around, and instead, there was only one big black box that was none other than his own.
Right as Rael was about to call out to Gaia and tell her what he did, he was suddenly hit with a barrage of pop-ups which made his face pale slightly.
<Congratulations!>
<You are now the strongest being in every single universe, reality, realm, and multiverse!>
<You may now travel between realities and multiverses without restrictions!>
<The ### has deemed you worthy, and has granted you control over the Realm of Realities!>
<Ding!>
<Congratulations!>
"Ah..."
Welp.
Rael did see this coming. In fact, he was pretty sure something like this was going to happen. If he killed every single powerful being, then all that pressure and authority would fall onto him.
On the flip side, he now had a lot more power, as well as certainty that no one would fuck with him. After all, he guessed that the Realm of Realities was this place he was currently in. He couldn’t even imagine entering it from the outside, so it should be very safe.
But when in doubt, he could always ask Gaia.
"So, Gaia... I might have a little problem," Rael said.
Gaia let out a sigh. "I saw just now. It’s an... interesting development. It’s not inherently bad either, as now you won’t complain about being bored ever again."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, you’ll have thousands of multiverses to manage now. If I had to guess, you’re now the sole owner of them, including your own. And since that’s the case, I’d assume you have an infinite amount of money now as well."

"If only I could solve all of my problems by pressing delete..." Rael mumbled with a sigh. "Welp. I guess there’s nothing else left to do but tidy some stuff up and woo you over, is there?"
Gaia stared at him for a moment, then chuckled. "I guess so. Why don’t you start trying to woo me over now then?"
Turning her back to him, a faint smile appeared on her face.
"Do you want to visit the elven village where I once stayed?"
