Chapter 1956 Trial
Chapter 1956 Trial
1956 Trial
Sam held the reaper sword tightly and lunged forward.
The sword condensed with wind energy came at him. A huge sword storm seemed to have been following that blade. Sam blocked that attack and his energy entered the sword with two styles combined. Ripple and Repel Style.
The wind energy that tried to go past Sam's blade and to his body dispersed into nothing within no time.
The opponent was shocked.
But Sam didn't have any thoughts of giving him time to recover. Before he could even think a loud bang was heard by everyone. ReadNovelFull.com
*BANG* *BOOM*
The bang was followed by a concentrated explosion and it happened all on the shoulder of the opponent. The opponent was shocked. He couldn't raise his arm anymore and he looked at Sam in confusion.
He didn't understand what is happening.
That's because before he could even blink, Sam brought out a hand gun shot him in a close range and hid it back in his storage. The opponent saw something flash, but he wasn't able to catch what it is.
Everyone was dumbfounded. They were impressed by how Sam is holding himself against a senior, but this situation is uncalled for. Something none of them predicted.
"What the fuck did you do? It is cheating." Rain who was on his knees and had a unique view of this, had the similar vision as the opponent. He yelled immediately.
Everyone looked at him like he was an idiot. Including the opponent.
Sam didn't care though. He jumped forward and slashed his sword, when the opponent tried to block it, the wind energy dispersed once again and Sam slid the sword in an unnatural angle while bending his body in an awkward way.
The sword slipped and cut the opponent under the left side of his abdomen and the slash went deep until it hit the stomach sac inside.
Sam stood behind him and stabbed the sword on the other shoulder of the opponent, before kicking behind his knees to make him fall on the ground. Sam pulled the sword out and was about to slash his neck off.
"STOP"
Right before the sword landed, Irel yelled and Sam stopped.
He held the opponent by his collar and threw him to the rest of the seniors before going back to his seat and sitting there leisurely with a disappointed expression.
He overestimated the abilities of the seniors here in the academy.
They are the same. They are also weak. The other players on the same level gives more trouble than these seniors. Sam is frustrated because of this. A frown appeared on his face as he looked at Irel.
"I don't care if more people are gonna come here and fight. I am open for it. I don't care if you want to blow this up as a case in Enforcement Hall. I am open for it too. But I am not leaving until I get my two bowls of soup from this restaurant.
And without those, this guy is not going anywhere."
As Sam said he pointed at Rain.
"Do you even know what you are doin…" *PAK*
Rain once again rambled after he came out of the shock of Sam defeating a senior. But a crisp slap landed on his face and made him crash.
"I am done with the chirps of sparrows."
He paused and turned to the seniors and the enforcement squads.
"If the Vultures want a piece of me, they can come and try."
With that he stabbed the sword into the wooden floor.
The whole thing turned awkward. Everyone paused and didn't know what to do. Irel was tempted to make a move, but the Zeus academy lost way too much face. She didn't know what would make the situation worse, whether caving to Sam's demands or attacking directly.
She very much wanted to kill Sam if not for this dilemma.
So, she decided to solve it. She sent some of their team members to inform the seniors and the instructors of the academy. This thing got way out of hand.
The Enforcement Squad on the other hand took a backseat completely. They would wait until the situation is resolved and put all the cases that would happen in the Enforcement hall. These crazy people can beat the crap out of each other all they want.
Time passed slowly.
Fifteen minutes felt like a few hours before the people that went to the academy came back. Surprisingly they didn't come back with anyone. Just a letter.
Irel looked at the contents of the letter and frowned. She was a bit reluctant by the way things are going, but she held it in and gave the letter to the waiter.
"Give this to your owner."
Waiter hesitated a bit, but still took the letter and went to his owner. After fifteen minutes, he came back and met with Irel.
"Fifty thousand gold coins per bowl. That is the price."
"That is fucking ridiculous. What do you mean by increasing the price that much?"
"My owner said that you would have this reaction. But he said he is not going to reduce the price. According to the letter, this is what you have to pay. Or you can leave the restaurant now. Since all the food is bought by that customer and you are clearly not welcome to eat that food, you are not welcome in the restaurant for now.
You also need to pay for the damaged chair there. The one your companion just destroyed with the sword."
"What about the floor he crashed?"
"It is not up to you to worry about that. Please just do what you need to do and leave this place as soon as possible."
Irel gritted her teeth and fished out her spatial ring. She also took some from her companions before giving it to the waiter. After looking through the contents and counting them all up, he nodded and said.
"You need wait for another hour for the two bowls. Please take a seat and don't crowd the entrance."
He then turned to the Enforcement Squad and said.
"You are not welcome here anymore. Please leave."
The enforcement squad didn't mind this. They didn't have any business in the restaurant anymore. They clearly showed their bias towards the Zeus academy students and they just need to register both the cases in the Enforcement hall and take these people there.
That is all there is to it. Of course, to make sure that their reputation and the relation with Zeus academy is not spoiled, they need to make some preparations.
Do you want to explain yourself?"
"It's a waste of time to do explanation and stuff. I have a better solution."
After the squad left, they waited outside the restaurant while one of them went back to make some preparations based on the captain's instructions.
Time passed and Sam soon was served with two bowls of his soup.
"Now, let him go."
"Nope, let the soup get to the temperature that I want it to be in."
Sam said as he stopped Rain's advance. He did that with his leg stretched out, with no regard to their status. Only after the soup cooled down a bit, did Sam smile and take his leg from obstructing him. Rain gritted his teeth in humiliation as he walked to the side of his seniors.
He glanced at Pearl who stayed silent for a long time. She is still glancing at Sam who is getting busy with the soup.
All the Zeus students also left.
Sam finished his soup and walked out. He had his hands in his pockets as he leisurely stepped down while being surrounded by the Enforcement Squad.
"You need to come with us to the Enforcement Squad for both the cases. Your case against the Zeus academy student Rain and his case against you. A judge is ready to conduct trial on both the cases at the same time now."
"Please lead me. I am happy to comply."
They were surprised by Sam's cooperation.
Soon, Sam is standing in the middle of the Enforcement hall. This is basically the court and a judge is presiding them.
On the other side stood Rain who is the defendant of the first case and the plantiff of the second case.
This proceeding is just like any other court trial a representative from the Zeus academy who is part of Irel's group stepped up and explained both the cases.
Sam heard it casually and the judge on the other hand seemed to be very serious as he even took some notes. After some time, the judge looked at Sam and asked.
"The first case is resolved since they indeed gave you back the two bowls of the soup. But for the second case, to even injure the people after admitting to a crime, that is a punishable offense unless you have a proper reason.
Do you want to explain yourself?"
"It's a waste of time to do explanation and stuff. I have a better solution."
"I don't think the plantiff is ready to accept monetary payment for this." The judge said as he looked at Rain who nodded in agreement.
"Who said anything about payment? I am thinking more of a trial by combat."
Pin drop silence.
