Chapter 2499: Fireworks

Haran walked deeper into the academy grounds and ended up at the training halls specifically made for the elders.

The spiritual energy and Divine energy concentration is highest in that area, throughout the academy. All the elders gather here to cultivate. And attached to it was the student training area. The residual energy of the elders which was refined and purified was siphoned into the student area, helping them advance faster.

Even though not many people are actually active in the academy realm, right now... the training areas were still decently full.

Right after a conquest, whether it was a success or a failure, the elders and students always come back here to recover and consolidate their improvement. So, naturally, even now both training halls were half full, with elders of all levels, including a grand elder, and students of all grades cultivating right now.

No one felt it was odd that Haran came here.

He is still an elder after all. They just let him be.

Haran still had that blank and stoic expression as he walked to one of the training rooms. The formation was activated automatically and the energy poured in.

He sat there in meditation and started cultivating.

And then a secret link in the formation was triggered. Whenever someone was attempting a breakthrough, the training grounds formation will draw in extra energy from the source and it seals the whole space.

Anyone who is inside should stay inside until the breakthrough happens and anyone who is outside, can only stay outside.

But the problem with the academies is that they are always curious and they are too eager to know who is improving.

So, the moment Haran showed the signs of breakthrough, the news went viral. There aren’t many people in the academy. But anyone who was in there, came to the training grounds, looking from outside.

At around an hour later, approximately a few minutes after the midnight, Haran’s body was brimming with excess of Divine energy and the formation of the training grounds was on overdrive.

At that exact moment... something snapped in his mind.

"Finally..."

He muttered and his core became unstable.

The Dean who was sitting in his room, wondering how they could find Sam and bring him to justice, suddenly sensed something.

He immediately ran out of the office and flew towards the training grounds.

"Please Lord Ares. Please let it not be what I think its. Please make me wrong." He muttered and closed the distance in a fraction of a second.

He was hovering above the training grounds and with his divine vision, he could see what’s happening.

Haran was still in a meditative pose. As the Dean watched, cracks appeared from his core. All his meridian networks overworked and glowing cracks appeared on his skin. Even his eyes were glowing with his eye lids burned off.

Not from fire, but the intensity of the energy inside.

He could feel the vision focused on him and he looked up.

Even though they were separated by walls, roof and the barriers, they could feel each other’s gaze and the Dean felt his whole body soak.

"Everyone, Evacua..." Even before the Dean could scream, Haran smiled lightly. As if the great burden on him was lifted and his body exploded.

*BOOM*

The explosion spread from his body, the divine energy that could easily destroy a half a dozen planets in an instant... was accompanied and amplified by the formation of the training grounds.

Dean instinctually reacted and shielded himself, but the explosion even blew him a few meters away. But the elders and the students inside the training grounds, and the ones right outside the training grounds....

They weren’t so lucky...

The massive explosion swept off the whole area.

At the same time, what Dean didn’t recognize was, similar explosions, a bit smaller scale occurred in other areas as well. The dorm area for students, the weapon hall, the library, study rooms, special classrooms, the space gate area...

Every training zone, cultivation zone, was included. All the captives that Sam took and released created explosions at the same time.

He called his attendant and said.

"Tell every Gambler academy member to be within the limits of their conquest realms. They shouldn’t go for higher worlds and tell them all to stay in one place.

They will be targeted by all the academies from now on.

And no one should stay at the academy until further notice. Send them all to the conquest worlds.
