Chapter 1121: Path of a Legendary Craftsman

"The creation method of magic golems has long since been lost and those that do remain are considered great treasures. It certainly wouldn't hurt to have some additional hands to face off against the constant threats to the Mortal Realm.'

In terms of practicality and his current understanding of the professions listed, Izroth was leaning most toward Magic Golem Engineer.

Magic Architect was tempting; however, Morrighan already possessed that profession and had ties to his Mystical Realm Palace. Although she could only make a limited number of high-ranked magic items, Izroth had been thinking of a potential way to overcome that flaw. Spirit Gardener was also not bad considering that his main profession was Apothecary. But, Izroth already had the Resplendent Landscape Pocket Dimension Stone, an SS-ranked magic item made for cultivating resources at increased rates. Not to mention, he had Avia, a legendary realm trephasia and an ex-member of the Fifth Great Clan, which specialized in collecting and processing high-quality herbs.

While there was no doubt that Spirit Gardener would still have its own perks, Izroth believed that it would be an overall waste.

"No matter how I look at it, Magic Golem Engineer is the most logical choice on this list. But, this one... I don't know anything about it. Maybe that's why it catches my attention." Izroth said to himself as his eyes fell on the last profession on the list.

'Arcane Script Runemaster... This is my first time seeing this name. I have come nowhere close to reading all the books in RML, so I won't dare to say that I know everything there is to know about this world. But, to not come across a single mention of a name or something related to it—it's a first.'

A faint smile appeared on Izroth's face.

"To walk a path different from those around me has not always proven to be the most rewarding. But, it has never failed to be the most interesting.'

Not long after that thought crossed Izroth's mind, a series of system alerts sounded.

As a flood of system alerts sounded, Izroth focused on one particular alert.

'Oh? I heard that profession-ranked quests are challenging to come by. Though this seems different from the profession quests I've heard about.'

Special Note: This quest will be automatically accepted. This quest cannot be shared. This was the first time Izroth received a profession-ranked quest. Also, even though the quest did not go into too many details surrounding the Arcane Script Runemaster profession itself, Izroth was able to gather some information from what he read. However, some parts did not entirely add up.

'Introduction To Arcane Scripts? Rather than a quest reward, shouldn't something like that have been included in the Profession Starter Kit?'

From the looks of things, Izroth did not receive any kind of manual or instructions on how to create Arcane Scripts.

Was it just so easy to create Arcane Scripts that those things were not required? Or, was this some kind of natural affinity test since it was a legendary profession?

'Since Morrighan obtained her Magic Architect profession through a legendary Profession Specialization Scroll, it won't be too difficult to confirm whether or not this quest is standard for those who manage to acquire a legendary profession. It won't be concrete, but it will help me confirm some things. If my theory is correct, there might not be a single Arcane Script Runemaster left in this world. Or, at the very least, none who reside in the Mortal Realm.'

[System Alert: Player Morrighan has requested a voice chat!

"Is this what they call a happy coincidence?" Izroth said to himself with a helpless smile as he shook his head.

Izroth planned on contacting Morrighan after he got everything settled in the secret underwater base; however, as if willing it into existence, the Phantom Queen abruptly called him out of the blue.

The last time Izroth spoke to Morrighan was when they came to an agreement regarding her status as a craftsman of the Mystical Realm Palace. At that time, Izroth also gave the Phantom Queen some Blood of the Immortal Hydra and obtained the S-ranked magic item Silver Inversion Disc in return.

'Since I didn't place a limit on the resources she could use at the Mystical Realm Palace, it shouldn't be about requesting more resources. Then, does it have to do with the item I left in her care?' [System Alert: You have started a voice chat with Player Morrighan! To end the voice chat at any time, simply say "Terminate Voice Chat" or open up the player system interface and manually end the call.[]

Izroth, "This is unexpected. I didn't think that you would be the one to contact me first."

Morrighan, "I would have contacted you earlier, but you are quite a difficult man to get ahold of at times."

Izroth, "Some unforeseen circumstances came up. I was planning on contacting you soon, but you've saved me the trouble."

Izroth was trapped in The Void for a little more than a week of in-game time. During that time, his means of communication were completely cut off.

Morrighan, "Is it regarding the items you left in my care? If so, that is precisely why I called you. I have yet to find another item capable of holding the Blood of the Immortal Hydra, so I am still using the Ageless Vial of Sen. However, the Twin Lasting Epoch Sentinels-I managed to restore it as you requested."

'I expected it to take longer given the terrible state it was in when I handed it over to her. Is it as easy to repair magic items as it is to create them?'

Izroth, "You've worked hard. I will see to it that you're compensated properly. As for the Ageless Vial of Sen, there is no need to rush its return."

Izroth still had two Ageless Vial of Sen in his possession. Furthermore, he recently acquired the Pristine Research Containment Vessel. Although it was not indestructible like the Ageless Vial of Sen, its overall capacity was several times greater. Not to mention, it would not be every day that Izroth came across something like the Blood of the Immortal Hydra that required an indestructible container.
