"Let’s have some. I need the energy to climb the mountain."

What followed was another round of rest and snack time. Due to their leisurely pace on the mountain hike, they reached the top without much effort. Pei Ziyu said, "I never thought climbing a mountain could be so relaxing."

"Ah, how did you climb mountains before, going directly to the top in one breath? There’s no need, isn’t it better to climb leisurely like this?" Mei Mengzhen felt that one needn’t push oneself too hard when climbing a mountain. What difference did it make whether one rushed to the top or slowly made one’s way up? In the end, reaching the top was all that mattered.

Once on the mountain top, they spent their time leisurely with snacks again. However, the scenery from the mountain top was truly spectacular. After taking many photos on the mountain top, Mei Mengzhen hesitated over which way to descend.

There were three options: one was to walk down the mountain, two was to grass slide halfway down before walking the rest of the way, and three was a chute which also led halfway down before walking. The second and third options were definitely much more comfortable. Plus, it was the end of the day, and the workers also wished for everyone to descend the mountain quickly.

After some thought, Mei Mengzhen chose to take the slide down the mountain. The slide stretched between two peaks, allowing people to slide straight down, with the thrill of not being able to see the bottom.

Accompanied by the shrill screams of ’ah’ from the people, one by one slid down like dumplings being dropped into water, and after bumping heads at the bottom, made their way down the mountain.

When they got back to the car, both Mei Mengzhen and Pei Ziyu felt relaxed and their stomachs full. Pei Ziyu asked, "Zhenzhen, where shall we go next? Are we eating dinner tonight?"

Mei Mengzhen didn’t want to eat, but she couldn’t just consider herself, "Do you want to eat tonight? Let’s find a place to stay first and maybe eat later. We’ve had a lot of snacks, I’m not hungry right now."

Pei Ziyu thought the same, "Yeah, I’m not hungry at the moment. Let’s go."

Since they hadn’t made prior arrangements, they could only use their phones to look for nearby hotels. There were no Star Hotels around, mostly simple Inns and Homestays, and conditions were surely not that great. Mei Mengzhen was worried that Pei Ziyu might not be used to it, "Brother Pei, can you stay in those hotels? The environment might not be very good."

"What do you think of me, Zhenzhen? I’m not that picky. I’ve stayed in even tougher conditions before, don’t worry, but I’m worried you might not be used to it."

"I can get used to anything."

Both were worried about the hotel conditions, but when they arrived, the environment wasn’t as bad as imagined. However, Mei Mengzhen was puzzled. On their trip, Pei Ziyu had booked two separate rooms.

Holding her room card and standing at her door, she looked at Pei Ziyu standing at the next door and called out somewhat puzzledly, "Brother Pei."

Pei Ziyu turned to look at her, and just when he thought she would ask something, Mei Mengzhen closed her mouth again, "Never mind, let’s go in first, we’ll drop off our luggage and then have a walk around. I saw a Lamp City not far from here."
