Chapter 920: Uncle Leng, Dad
Chapter 920: Chapter 920: Uncle Leng, Dad
"Alright, I’m very at ease. With Si Yu not here, Zaozao and Chenchen, you’ll have to put in more effort as their grandma." Meng Jin felt a bit sorry for his son, who often couldn’t take care of his own family.
"I know all that already. But you, don’t overwork yourself day and night. Even if you were made of iron, you couldn’t withstand it." Mo Xiaolin looked at Meng Jin with worry in her eyes. Although he was only fifty, he seemed older than his peers, with some gray hair at his temples.
Mr. Meng’s health was deteriorating, and most of the company’s affairs were managed by Meng Jin.
Meng Jin’s dedication to the company was unwavering. Before finding Mo Xiaolin, he had devoted most of his life to the company. After finding Mo Xiaolin and having a son, daughter-in-law, and now also grandchildren, Meng Jin would take vacations at times, unlike before when he just wanted to stay at the company.
"Don’t worry, with you, our son, and grandchildren, I am hoping to live to a ripe old age." Meng Jin laughed heartily, expressing his genuine wish to live long with Mo Xiaolin, making up for the past regrets of not being together.
Mo Xiaolin watched Meng Jin leave and was about to go inside when she saw an approaching car.
Mo Xiaolin observed the car that Gu Chun drove over, wondering if Old Sir Lian had come, so she decided not to go inside. The car stopped at the entrance, and sure enough, she saw Lian Tong and Old Sir Lian.
"Mother-in-law, Grandpa-in-law." Mo Xiaolin warmly greeted them. Although Tang Yue and Lian He’s relationship was a bit awkward, Tang Yue always recognized Aunt and Grandpa.
Lian Tong had stayed in Jing City for a period of time, so Mo Xiaolin knew her.
"Mother-in-law, we meet again."
Old Sir Lian appeared very pleased.
"Yes, I hope you’ve been well." Mo Xiaolin assessed Old Sir Lian, noting he looked quite spirited. Her gaze then fell on Lian Tong, asking, "Xiaotong, when you left Jing City last time, your belly wasn’t this big."
"Indeed."
When Lian Tong’s belly was mentioned, her hand instinctively moved to her abdomen.
When Tang Yue gave birth earlier, the baby was only three months, barely showing. Now, two months later, Lian Tong’s belly had grown significantly.
Mo Xiaolin supported Lian Tong into the house.
Inside, Tang Zhengde and Zhang Hualian had started preparing dinner. Originally planning to rest, the couple found themselves unable to sleep, so they decided to cook dinner.
Even though Lian Qingyang had hired a helper, the food she made couldn’t compare to theirs.
For their daughter Tang Yue, Tang Zhengde and Zhang Hualian pampered her as much as they could. With two babies to nurse, they constantly prepared nutritious meals for Tang Yue, wanting her milk supply to be abundant, and prevent her from losing weight due to breastfeeding.
Old Sir Lian’s visit made the villa lively again.
Old Sir Lian and Lian Tong first sought out Tang Yue, but she and the children weren’t there, so they didn’t disturb anyone and just chatted in the living room.
The living room often erupted in laughter, especially over the antics of Zaozao and Chenchen.
Tang Yue was awakened by Chenchen’s crying. Half-awake, she fed Chenchen and changed his diaper. Zaozao woke up too. After tending to both little ones, she was fully awake, hearing laughter from the living room, immediately recognizing Grandpa Lian and Aunt Lian’s voices.
Tang Yue glanced outside; it was already dark.
While Tang Yue was pondering how to carry the two children downstairs, Mo Xiaolin came up. Seeing the little ones awake, she smiled, "I thought they might be awake. Your grandpa and aunt have come over, and it’s almost dinner time."
"Mom, why don’t you carry one down, and I’ll be right down." Tang Yue grabbed her hair, went to the bathroom, scooped some warm water, and washed her face, feeling much more refreshed.
When she brought Chenchen downstairs, everyone was gathered around Zaozao, entertaining him.
"Grandpa, Aunt, Uncle." Tang Yue greeted them one by one. She placed Chenchen beside Zaozao, one in blue and the other in pink, looking extremely adorable.
The little ones had different colored clothes since they were young.
Zaozao, being a boy, wore blues and greens, with styles for boys.
Chenchen, a girl, wore pinks, whites, reds, purples—all very tender colors that made her look even more adorable.
The dinner was prepared by Tang Zhengde and Zhang Hualian together. A round table was set up and fully seated. Old Sir Lian was in a great mood, eating more than usual.
Since getting pregnant, Lian Tong had been nurturing herself in Sea City. She was delighted to have the family gather, eating two big bowls of food.
Tang Yue took the opportunity after dinner to exchange pregnancy experiences with Lian Tong.
Compared to Tang Yue, Lian Tong’s current pregnancy was smooth besides the first three months when the symptoms were severe and required rest. Now, Lian Tong was enjoying her food immensely.
"Xiao Yue, my pregnancy is much better than having two children like you. I don’t even feel heavy." Lian Tong said happily, her face illuminating with the joy of impending motherhood.
"Aunt, my pregnancy was tough, but I have Zaozao and Chenchen, two at once. I struck it rich." Tang Yue gestured with two fingers.
Lian Tong pursed her lips and said, "Xiao Yue, I wish for twins too, but it’s not up to me."
The Lian family had good genes for twins, but it didn’t mean everyone would have them.
Lian Tong’s look of longing made Tang Yue chuckle.
Sure enough, Old Sir Lian and Lian Tong stayed over for the night. The room Lian Qingyang prepared in advance was just right.
Early the next morning, Mo Xiaolin and her group headed to Mo Xiaoyu’s house.
Although Mo Xiaoyu was entering a second marriage, it was no different from the first. Especially since Leng Hua took it very seriously, managing it as if it were his first marriage.
At this moment, Mo Xiaoyu looked at the white wedding dress, feeling both sweet and happy inside.
Xie Tiantian loved the pretty tulle dress the most, dressed in a white tulle dress with a white fur shawl over it, looking like a little princess. Xie Tiantian excitedly asked, "Mom, can I call Uncle Leng ’Dad’ from now on?"
"Do you want to call him Dad?" Mo Xiaoyu crouched down, looking at her only daughter, and even though she was getting remarried, she wanted her daughter to be happy.
"I do." Xie Tiantian nodded vigorously. She envied other kids having both a mom and dad; she didn’t. But now she was going to have a dad, her favorite Uncle Leng. Happily, she hugged Mo Xiaoyu and said, "I want Uncle Leng to be my dad."
Mo Xiaoyu hugged Xie Tiantian tightly in her embrace.
