Chapter 919: Chapter 919: The Wife Belongs to Someone Else Now
"Get in the car, Old Sir Lian is already waiting at home." Lian He really wanted to hug the kids, but at the airport, it wasn’t convenient. Still, he couldn’t take his eyes off them. How did his grandchildren grow up to be so good-looking?
Tang Yue heard this and immediately turned her gaze to Lian Qingyang.
Lian Qingyang guiltily stepped back and said, "Sis, I haven’t had the chance to tell Dad and Grandpa yet."
"What’s wrong?" Lian He looked at Tang Yue with confusion, but he quickly understood.
If it were just Tang Yue and her two children going to the Lian Family’s house, it wouldn’t be an issue.
But Zhang Hualian’s presence made things awkward.
He didn’t mind, but it would certainly make Zhang Hualian and Tang Zhengde uncomfortable.
"Xiao Yang, where did you arrange for your sister and them to stay?" Lian He inquired.
"I arranged for them to stay over by Xiangquan Lake." Lian Qingyang was extremely guilty. He was ecstatic to finally convince Sister Xiao Yue to come to Sea City. Knowing that Mom would feel awkward about going to the Lian Family’s house, he took the initiative to arrange for them to stay by Xiangquan Lake.
Xiangquan Lake Villa was under Lian Qingyang’s name. Due to his excitement and being caught up with too many things, Lian Qingyang forgot to inform Grandpa and Dad that Mom and Sister wouldn’t be staying at the Lian Family’s house.
Seeing Lian He now, Lian Qingyang didn’t dare to look at him.
"Alright, let’s go there. I’ve already prepared the car." Lian He wasn’t angry. Although he really wanted his daughter and grandkids to come back to the Lian Family’s house with him, today was clearly not the right time.
Lian Qingyang breathed a sigh of relief, and even Zhang Hualian let out a sigh of relief. If Lian He had insisted on going to the Lian Family’s house, it would have been awkward.
She and Lian He weren’t officially a couple but had two children together. Now she and Tang Zhengde were in love, and she had no intention of rekindling things with Lian He.
Under these circumstances, she couldn’t accept bringing her daughter, her husband, and the grandchildren back to the Lian Family’s house.
The group headed straight to Xiangquan Lake Villa.
Gu Chun had no say in the matter and was sent back by Lian He to pick up Old Sir Lian and Lian Tong once the group was settled.
Lian He knew clearly that if Old Sir Lian did not see his granddaughter and great-grandchildren today, he wouldn’t be able to sleep. Lian He himself couldn’t bear to leave, so he sent Gu Chun to fetch them.
Xiangquan Lake was named for the hot spring in the villa area.
Lian Qingyang had made arrangements early on, changing all the bed linens and filling the refrigerator with food.
As everyone had just arrived by plane today, Lian Qingyang directly hired a maid to prepare dinner.
With some time before dinner, Lian Qingyang allocated the rooms.
Meng Jin and Mo Xiaolin, along with Tang Zhengde and Zhang Hualian, stayed on the first floor.
Tang Yue stayed on the second floor, in the spacious master bedroom. In order to let both children sleep with Tang Yue, protective rails were installed around three sides of the bed, making it easier for Tang Yue to manage the kids. The floor was a soft carpet, so even if they fell, it wouldn’t hurt too much.
The bed was lower than a regular one.
Lian Qingyang himself slept in the guest room. The two remaining rooms on the first floor were saved for Old Sir Lian, and the first floor was reserved for Aunt and Uncle.
As for Lian He, Lian Qingyang arranged for him to stay on the second floor, just a wall away from his room.
"Xiao Yang, thank you, you’ve been so thoughtful." Tang Yue happily admired the warmly decorated room. The large floor-to-ceiling windows allowed for abundant sunlight, making the room cozy and comfortable.
Zaozao and Chenchen, tired, lay on the bed, sleeping soundly.
The bedding was selected with a rustic style, looking very nice.
"Sis, you’re my real sister. I don’t like it when you say thank you." Lian Qingyang pouted unhappily, not liking Tang Yue to say thank you.
"Sis, the flight was tiring. Rest here, and I’ll call you when dinner is ready." Lian Qingyang thoughtfully closed the door for her.
Tang Yue was indeed exhausted. She had been worried about the two kids on the plane and had carried Chenchen all the way, which made her arms sore. Lying on the bed, she soon fell asleep.
*
The Lian Family.
Old Sir Lian and his daughter Lian Tong were eagerly waiting. Hearing the car, Old Sir Lian happily said, "They’re back."
"But wait, why is there only one car?"
Lian Tong stood up, looking out the window to see only one car.
Now several months pregnant, her belly was slightly bulging. After nurturing the baby for a while, things had finally calmed down. However, as Lian Tong was somewhat older, she was naturally more cautious.
"Gu Chun, why are you the only one back?" Lian Tong noticed Gu Chun returning alone and kept looking behind him, not seeing anyone else.
"Tongtong, your brother took Xiao Yang and Xiao Yue to Xiangquan Lake Villa. He sent me to pick you up to join them for dinner," Gu Chun explained.
Old Sir Lian was somewhat surprised, but soon understood. He asked, "Did Xiao Yang and Xiao Yue’s real mom come?"
"Yes," Gu Chun nodded, unsurprised. Even though Old Sir Lian was elderly, he was still sharp and quick-witted, quicker even than some young people.
"I see. No wonder they didn’t want to come to the Lian Family’s house." Old Sir Lian lamented, "Such a good daughter-in-law, but now she belongs to someone else."
Xiang Yazhi, this daughter-in-law, had turned the Lian Family upside down. If the truth about the events hadn’t been uncovered, who knows how much more chaos she would have caused.
Shen Jing’s actions against the Lian Group had been taken care of by Lian He, but the losses were significant.
Old Sir Lian felt regret for his son when thinking about his grandson’s real mom, who was now another man’s wife.
"Dad, it doesn’t help to talk about it now. Hualian and Tang Zhengde are very much in love," Lian Tong also felt sad for her brother. If Zhang Hualian were single, Lian Tong would definitely encourage Lian He to win her back.
But Zhang Hualian was with Tang Zhengde, and they were happily married. Aside from feeling regret, Lian Tong could only feel more regret. She said, "Hualian is a wonderful person, Dad. Once you meet her, you’ll understand why my brother never forgot her."
"Of course, I want to see my granddaughter and great-grandchildren," Old Sir Lian glared at her, "Don’t worry, Tong, I’m not confused. I know what should be done and what shouldn’t."
"Dad, you’re the best," Lian Tong joyfully escorted Old Sir Lian to the Xiangquan Lake Villa.
In the villa, after staying for a little while, Meng Jin wanted to head to the Sea City office and couldn’t stay longer with Mo Xiaolin. He said, "I’ll come to pick you up tomorrow night to visit the Mo Family. Wait for me to get you then."
"Brother Jin, just go to your office. I’m an adult; I won’t get lost," Mo Xiaolin looked at Meng Jin helplessly. Why did it seem to Meng Jin that she was like a child who hadn’t grown up, as if once he left, she would get lost?
