The driver helped carry the things inside and then took his leave.

The two women had just sat down when they heard a voice from the yard: "Auntie, I’m back."

Yuan Zining dashed into the house: "Auntie, they said we have guests at home. Who is it?"

The little one spotted Jiang Jingya sitting on the sofa as soon as he entered: "Beautiful Grandma, why are you here?"

Jiang Jingya affectionately pulled the little guy over to her side: "I came to see you both. Does it bother you if I stay here for a while?"

The moment she said this, Yuan Zining was momentarily stunned, then blinked his big eyes and asked, "Really?"

Jiang Jingya teased the little one’s nose: "Of course."

Yuan Zining was delighted: "This is great! My Auntie won’t have to work so hard now. I was even thinking about calling my Grandpa to take me away, but Uncle hasn’t returned, and I don’t feel safe leaving her alone."

With that, he dashed out.

Yunyi was in the room without a heated bed, taking bedding out of the cabinet: "Sister-in-law, I’m in this room."

Wan Ruhua entered and immediately saw Jiang Jingya: "Hello, and you are?"

Jiang Jingya greeted her with a smile: "Hi, I’m Yunyi’s mother-in-law. You can call me Auntie Jiang."

Wan Ruhua looked shocked: "Are you Deputy Commander Huo’s mother?"

Jiang Jingya smiled and nodded at her: "Absolutely."

Wan Ruhua slapped her thigh: "Oh my, you are so young!"

Yunyi approached at this point: "Don’t we look like sisters standing together?"

Wan Ruhua laughed and clapped: "You’re right; your mother-in-law is truly young."

Then Wan Ruhua switched topics: "By the way, what do you need me for?"

Yunyi hurriedly asked: "Sister-in-law, I heard Jingrui mention that this room was remodeled with a fire wall left in place. I want to know, where is the partition located?"
