Chapter 478: The Graduation Ceremony. Part-1.

Several days passed in the blink of an eye; Rio and the others all got busy with their own training and studies to prepare for the coming final exams.

The nations slowly came out of the fear, and the dark clouds above the nation dissipated as people resumed their normal activities.

Rio had already become an S-ranker, and it would be weird to still keep him in the academy after he had already achieved so much along with the others.

Thus, Raji made a new rule that if someone reaches S-rank before graduation, they can take the final test and directly graduate.

In the past, such a fast growth speed was never seen; thus, there was no need for such a rule, but Rio has broken all records.

Lia and the others had to face some difficulty, but they were all determined to keep up with Rio and thus didn’t back down from the challenge.

The exams were tough, and the teachers didn’t make them easy just because Rio and others had less time to learn; in fact, they made it difficult to keep up with Rio’s increased strength.

But Rio and the others managed to pass them all with very low difficulty.

The results came fast, as Raji and the other teachers didn’t even sleep and graded their answer sheets immediately after the exams were done.

Rio got nearly full marks on all subjects and got full marks on the practical combat capability test. Link and the others also got excellent marks and passed with flying colors.

The day for their graduation ceremony was decided to be on August 12, which is Rio’s birthday and is the day when he will turn 18.

Becoming 18 and a full-grown adult marks a major change in life; after August 12, Rio can finally join guilds and can become a full-time awakener.

He won’t even need to worry about passing safety clearance and buying tickets for dungeons that are only suitable for trainees; he can now go to higher-level dungeons.

Rio will be able to raid S-rank dungeons.

Awakeners who are below 18 years old are usually not even B-rankers, and even the students of the top academy of the nation are also only around the early stages of A-rank by the time they reach 18.

So, obviously, the rule was made that those below 18 can only go to low-level dungeons, and they have bought tickets for the dungeon, and even then, they will only be able to do so for dungeons that are considered easier.

This is the main reason why Rio stopped bothering with dungeon raiding after he got the cheats from the dungeons.

Link and others can choose to raid A-rank dungeons, or they can keep training till they reach S-rank before challenging the S-rank dungeons.

After he was done with the exams, Rio spent most of his time in the personal training ground and polished his newly learned assassination skills, which he will be using in the future.

Rio heard a knock on his dorm room’s door and went over to open it with a sleepy look on his face.

Due to long and intense training sessions, he hadn’t slept for days and only slept for a few hours last night, causing him to feel a bit sleepy.

S-rankers don’t need to sleep, but Rio maintains the habit of sleeping to rest his mind and give his spirit a small rest every now and then.

Rio opened the door and found Lia jumped on him with a wide smile on her face.

She hugged him with a happy and excited look on her face as she buried her cute face in his chest.

"Happy Birthday! I made sure to come early so that I could be the one to wish you first! Hehe..."

"You have got bed hair; you look so cute, hehe..."

Lia giggled seeing Rio surprised look and gave herself a thumbs up in her mind, as she had succeeded in her plan to surprise Rio with a sudden entry.

She knew that Rio is the type of person who never lets his guard down, and only in the morning, when he hasn’t had time to have tea, would he be in a sleepy and slightly unguarded state.

Lia seized that small time frame to surprise Rio, as he wasn’t using his sword intent to sense the area around him, which caused him to miss Lia’s presence.

Even Rio was surprised by this matter.

"Whoa, you really surprised me there... you, you have completely figured out my habits and purposely chose that moment of carelessness to ambush me, didn’t you..."

Lia smirked at Rio’s words and brought out a luxurious-looking box from her space ring.

"Hehe, obviously I know nearly everything about you. Who do you think I am? I am your cute, cute girlfriend!"

Lia placed the luxurious-looking box on the table and spoke.

"This is my gift. I wanted to give my gift to you first so that you can try it early... these are the clothes I chose for you; you can wear them today for the graduation too..."

Rio nodded his head.

"Thanks for the gift. now that you have given me a gift, I will have to get you something a hundred times better on your birthday..."

Lia waved her hand at Rio’s words.

"It’s still a few months away so don’t worry about it so early. get ready, I will be going first, I want to see you directly in the ceremony..."

"If I stay here, it will spoil the surprise. I want to see you in these clothes in the graduation ceremony!"

Lia smiled, waved her hand, and left afterwards.

Rio could only shake his head and go to the shower so that he could get ready.
