Rio stood still and waited for the rotting evil spirit to pass before starting to move forward once again.

’There are such weird things here that it’s hard to understand...’

Even an SS-rank evil spirit was suffering constantly, and even its blood was being sucked and used by other weaker evil spirits as if they were parasites on its gigantic body.

Rio didn’t want to get in a conflict with an SS-rank being, so he remained still in his place and only observed the situation from far away without focusing too much on the evil spirit’s body.

Instead, he focused his gaze on the weaker evil spirits jumping and dancing around it.

Rio once trained with Jin and knows that SS-rankers have extremely powerful intuition and danger detection ability.

If you stare at them directly for a little longer, they will immediately detect you, even if you don’t have any killing intent toward them.

’I met an SS-rank evil spirit so soon after entering the spirit realm; that means that the spirit realm might have quite a lot of SS-rank beings inside of it...’

The spirit realm is as massive as the entire universe itself, and it’s extremely rich in miasma density; it’s easier for corrupted beings to reach higher realms in this place.

’It’s a good thing that corrupted beings who don’t have any sanity are barely able to use their ’world authority’, some of them can’t even level up their authorities...’

While walking forward, Rio remembered one of the documents given by Ashtel mentioned something very important.

It stated that it was indeed true that there are more SS-rank beings in the spirit realm compared to the outside world, but they are all much weaker even when compared to the weakest SS-rankers in the outside world.

SS-rankers from the world alliance all walk the ’path’ of ’order,’ and they all have one thing in common, they are all extremely intelligent and very good at controlling their powers.

Leveling up your world authority is completely irrelevant to whether you are a peak SS-ranker or an early SS-ranker.

It’s possible for an SS-ranker to raise their world authority levels fast, while it might take them time to reach peak SS rank.

The main way to increase world authority levels is increasing proficiency, having a deeper understanding of your own ’path,’ using it constantly, and going beyond limits.

And the most important is establishing more control over the ’world,’ ’laws,’ and ’reality.’

World authority is directly equivalent to your level of control over a particular law or authority of the ’world’; you can increase it by increasing your ’control’ and ’skill’ level in it.

But these are very complex things and take a long time to do.

SS-rank evil spirits from the spirit realm or demons who reach SS-rank but have no sanity due to miasmic corruption are incapable of doing such complex tasks.

They don’t have the capability to level up their world authorities.

Sometimes evil spirits end up reaching peak SS-rank, but their world authorities stay at level 1 even after centuries!

And this is one of the major reasons why all SS-rankers in the world alliance fear miasma so much and dare not abandon their ’path’ of following ’order.’

No one wants to lose their sanity and destroy their future by their own hands.

Miasma takes joy in corrupting and destroying creatures from the inside out and likes to make a mockery of their existence; no one wants to get involved with such a sinister power.

Even demons themselves don’t like miasma, let alone anyone else.

’What is so different in me then? I wonder...’

Rio took a handful of liquid miasma in his palm and felt that it was very nice, warm, and comfortable to hold.

’Err... I am not a demon, right? No wait... even demons don’t dare to hold such concentrated miasma in their hand...’

Thinking about this matter, Rio felt helpless; he shook his head and kept moving forward while following the directions shown by the cube.

While walking and thinking various things in his mind, Rio entered an area that was covered in heavy fog.

The fog was nothing but high-density miasmic liquid floating in air, reducing visibility to the lowest levels possible.

Thankfully Rio could use miasmic detection so he didn’t need to worry about visibility.

If it was someone else, they would have already been either corrupted or died at least a dozen times by now after staying in this horrible place for such a long time and traveling here for so long unless they were powerful SS-rankers like Ashtel.

But Rio was unaffected; even his traveler clothes were spotless, and he was moving forward without a single thought of fear or worry in his mind.

’Weird.... I have a very weird feeling all of a sudden...’

The directions given by the cube kept pointing in the same direction, and the more Rio walked in this miasmic fog, the more pressure he felt.

’Spatial fluctuations are extremely calm in this place; this is the most stable space I have seen until now in the spirit realm...’

’What is this place-’

Before Rio could question the situation, he found himself standing in front of two massive pillars.

Both pillars were engraved with various types of carvings on them, but most of the areas on them were heavily damaged and destroyed because of miasmic corruption.

Rio looked up and noticed that the pillars were joined together with a massive stone placed above them.

’An entrance to some kind of temple or traditional building?’

Rio had seen such structures before; this kind of entrance was usually made for temples or traditional buildings in a long-gone age.

There were two words carved on the big stone entrance.

{Celeste Fortuna}

The language was not ’EzKina,’ which was the current universal language used by the entire world alliance.

It was a language Rio was very familiar with; it was written in ’English’!

This was the first time Rio saw this familiar language in this world after coming here for so long.

It’s already been more than three years since Rio came to this world, and this is the first time he has come across a place where this language has been used.

King Allen created ’EzKina’ to unite all races and end racial discrimination when he created the world alliance.

This caused the end of all local languages; the ’English’ language also became extinct as centuries passed.

’Celeste Fortuna... ’Heavenly Luck’ or ’Divine Luck’... so is this a temple dedicated to the worship of ’heavenly luck’?...’

Rio’s not the type to know several languages at the same time, but even he knows words that are often used in various quotes and novels.

’I seriously didn’t expect to stumble upon such an ancient historical place all of a sudden...’

The cube of possibilities led him here for some reason, and since they were using ’English’ at this temple, it meant one thing.

This ancient place was likely built before the ’world alliance’ was created, which means it’s probably 1900 to 2000 years old.

Rio glanced at the cube floating around him peacefully and thought in his mind.
