Rio’s eyes shone brightly as he slowly came up with new ideas!

While travelling in the spirit realm, Rio had found a method to improve his soul’s strength, and that was to extract pure soul power from others and inject it into himself.

It was a simple method of snatching what belonged to others for your own use.

"She might get weaker but if this method succeeds, she will live..."

As many plans formed in Rio’s mind one after another, he immediately brought out the massive greyish-black dragon scale from his space ring.

This was the dragon scale that Rio received from the dragon king as a reward; he gave it to Rio because it had the capability of supporting and protecting souls.

’To think a day would come that I would become an artifact manufacturer too...’

"Phew~.... Here I go!"

Rio shook his head and stopped all the distracting thoughts from reducing his focus before he unsheathed his sword and took his stance.

Rio used light elements, space elements, and time elements all at the same time while using miasma as his energy source to cut the giant dragon scale into several small square parts!

Using spatial suture, Rio sutured the square pieces together and created two big boxes.

This way Rio managed to create two temporary containers for Liam and Ellie’s souls, respectively.

"Okay... after doing this... I am now sure of one critical thing..."

Rio looked at those two big ugly-looking boxes and couldn’t help but blurt out,

"I have no talent in art or artifact manufacturing at all... this looks worse than a cardboard project kids make in their school assignments..."

Rio shook his head in dismay as he felt depressed about how talentless he was.

Not only music, but even art and craft—he was terrible at them all.

Aside from swinging a sword, he had no talent.

’But now that I think about it... even the sword talent was something that I got because I stole the limitless talent...’

’Doesn’t that mean that I might not have real talent for sword at all either?’

Thinking this far, Rio stopped his thought process from drifting too far.

’Sigh... I guess this is the major side-effect of not being able to feel sadness... I am thinking up weird things in my head when I should have been sad about Ellie and Liam’s situation...’

Rio walked over to Ellie’s side, carefully took Liam’s soul and placed it in its container, and then he placed Elisia’s soul’s fragments in the other container.

Finally, he created a big container using the rest of the dragon scale to put Elisia’s lifeless body inside.

Rio used space-time itself to put Elisia’s body in a state of ’Time Freeze’.

This was an ability that Rio created by taking inspiration from both Alverto and Raji’s abilities.

Alverto had immense mastery over time elementals, and even Raji was able to use her world authority to ’freeze’ the space-time fabric; she could make ’time’ stop itself in one place by stopping the spatial fluctuations and the time elementals.

Time freeze was not only related deeply to Raji’s world authority, it was her signature move.

Rio used it on Elisia’s body to keep it in the same state for the time being and prevent any further damage to it.

’Only inanimate objects can be placed inside the space ring... although Elisia is dead... I don’t want to place her inside the space ring...’

’That seems disrespectful...’

Rio sighed and decided to use telekinesis to carry the three big containers, and he even covered them with his sword intent and light elemental camouflage to hide them from sight.

Rio used his own stealth skills on them, making them impossible to detect and see with normal means.

He was going to carry all three of them with him back to the human empire.

"I have already used up the teleportation scroll so I can’t directly teleport back to the location that I used to enter this place..."

"I would need to walk all the way back..."

It took Rio nearly three months to make his way here, but that was mainly because Rio travelled in various different directions in search of clues before.

Now he can just travel back in a straight line while flying at a fast speed.

The ship that escorted Rio to the dwarf kingdom gave him a six-month deadline; more than three months had already gone by now!

Time was running out fast, and thus Rio had to make his way back as soon as possible!

While carrying Liam and Ellie with him, Rio flew in the air and looked at the giant door once again for the last time.

’This door... this thing is really cursed... so many have suffered a horrible fate because of it... I really don’t want to come back here again...’

Not only King Allen and Astra, but also the shadow dragons and now Ellie—all of them suffered directly or indirectly because of this giant door.

And now that its seals have broken apart, it might even become a hotspot for demons who have already become puppets of the sea of miasma.

’I need to make a report about this thing...’

The power and control of this place are currently out of Rio’s capability; he can only make a report and give it to Ashtel at most.

The rest depends on what the world alliance will decide.

The current Rio isn’t strong enough to repair this seal; if not for Raika, Rio alone wouldn’t even have been able to inflict this much damage to this seal.

’I have a feeling that I might need to come back here someday so I will commit this location to my memory...’

Rio shook his head and stopped staring at that mysterious giant door; he stepped on his sword and started flying away!

Before, Rio was testing how to control miasma and create miasma crystals, but now his objective had changed.

While flying back, Rio’s main objective became ’How to successfully Save Ellie by merging her soul fragments into each other?’

Rio was lacking time, so he could not stop at one place and do all the experiments; he needed to rush back while also trying to save Ellie at the same time.

It was a difficult goal, but Rio had no other choice but to complete it, as he had made a promise to bring back Liam and Ellie with him no matter what.

Even if it meant bringing their ’Soul’ back from hell, Rio was going to do his best to complete the mission!

’To make up for Lia’s trust in me, I must not fail! Or I will be too ashamed to show my face in front of Lia!’

Rio’s emotions for others might have completely disappeared in this new strength enhancement, but Rio’s love for Lia remained as strong as it always was!
