Chapter 659: You are bizarre... Part-2.
Ignoring the two idiots talking bad about him behind his back, Rio walked over to the group of little fellows who were hesitating to get near him.
"Y-you!? What are you!? This weird sensation... are you really human!?"
The moment Rio got close, Nova immediately got defensive and questioned Rio in a confused way as if she had never seen a creature like him.
"Y-your body... it’s almost giving me the same feeling as the mythical artifacts of our fairy race give!"
"But the ’Fountain of Elemental Life’ and the Grand World Atlas... they are not conscious things at all!"
"S-so... how can... you are very bizarre!!"
Although Nova and the other two little fairies had a very weird reaction after seeing him, Rio wasn’t surprised at all.
’Err... I kind of already expected this to happen...’
Ashtel Rex pointed out the weirdness in him; Raji pointed it out. Even that old dwarf blacksmith questioned whether Rio was really human.
And Raika was straight up telling him to acknowledge that he wasn’t human at all.
After listening to so many people and seeing so many shocked and confused expressions, Rio had already become used to them.
Thankfully, Rio was not the type to be sensitive about these little things; otherwise, he would have felt that everyone was discriminating against him by pointing fingers at him.
Rio knew that fairies were beings that were the closest to nature and had been given the ’favor’ of the ’world,’ so their perception of world phenomena was definitely not weak at all.
Nova, being one of the eldest fairies in this city and a peak S-ranker, was easily able to see through Lia’s true identity the first time, so she obviously managed to notice something bizarre about Rio too.
"Wind, water, thunder... even miasma!? H-how do you have traces of all elementals in your body!? And why are your soul fluctuations so bizarre!!"
Before Rio could answer, the little golem that Bela was carrying around jumped out of her embrace and hugged Rio’s leg!
It moved so fast that Bela and the others had no time to stop it, and before they could do anything, it was already close to Rio.
"Rio! You are here! Hehe! I missed you!"
Seeing the little golem acting cute and rubbing its face against his leg, Rio helplessly took it and placed it on his shoulders.
"I almost forgot about this fella... where were you ’RJ’? How’s Lia been lately?"
The little fellow started playing with Rio’s hair while speaking.
"Lia is awesome! She was fighting with those strong people! She beat up all the bad guys! Hehe!"
"She protected us all from the bad guys!"
Stars were almost shining in the little golem’s eyes as it told Rio about Lia’s bravery-filled battle.
"I see, so Lia made friends with the fairies?"
The little golem nodded its head as it looked at Lyria and Miria.
"They were rescued by Lia from that big hammer demon!"
Hearing those words, Rio patted the fellow and stretched his hand toward Bela.
"I am Rio Flash. I may look intimidating, but I am Lia’s boyfriend. Me and Lia are a couple and since Lia trusts you all, I am also willing to trust you too..."
"You think the soul fluctuations are weird? Okay I can change that..."
Before Nova could react, Rio immediately changed the way his soul fluctuations radiated outside.
He easily suppressed his soul and physical aura and even activated a bit of his stealth skills so that Nova and others won’t be able to see too deeply into his secrets.
This way they will not get uncomfortable by peering into the depths of his body.
The moment Rio changed his soul fluctuations, his intimidating aura disappeared completely, and his presence became almost equal to that of a normal, ordinary 18-year-old human being!
"This is!? Soul Manipulation!? Is that even possible!?"
Seeing Rio do such an insane thing, Nova almost fainted like the rest of the two fairies due to sheer shock!
Kai and James looked at the poor fairy with pity when they saw her like that.
’Err... who’s gonna tell her that Soul manipulation is just one of the many skills that this guy has...’
Although Nova was stunned speechless, Bela didn’t hesitate any longer and accepted Rio’s help to stand up.
She put her small hand on her chest as if she were trying to give herself more courage by trying to calm down her fast-beating heart.
She then looked at RJ and spoke,
"I-if little RJ is... trusting you... than I can also..."
Hearing the little girl’s words, Rio patted her small head and nodded.
"You are brave little one..."
Rio could also feel that Bela was definitely extraordinary; she was not even fifteen, but she was already radiating dense mana and was clearly a fully awakened individual.
Children who manage to become awakeners before the age of 15 are always either rare geniuses or complete monsters!
Link was the best example of such talent; he was already an E-ranker the moment he was born!
By the time he reached the age of 15, Link was already a peak C ranker and was extremely proficient in all sorts of combat arts by that age.
At that time, even Rio, who’s an ’anomaly,’ found it quite difficult to actually do effective damage to Link when they both fought during the New Year’s event.
Bela was definitely the same kind of monster and likely had some powerful talents; it’s just Rio wasn’t in the position to question her about them, or he might ruin the little bit of trust she had in him right now.
In this world every awakener has a status panel, and only they can see their own status panel; others can’t see them.
The information displayed on these panels is extremely important to a person, and no one wants to leak it out.
It’s not about trust and close relationships; these kinds of information are so private that most people don’t even tell their parents about them, let alone strangers.
This secrecy is the main reason why those talent measuring tools were even invented in the first place.
All humans have their own circumstances; not everyone is comfortable with revealing sensitive secrets about their body to others, so obviously Rio couldn’t question Bela.
"These two... let’s put them beside Lia; it won’t be good to let them sleep on the ground..."
Hearing Rio’s words, Bela took the two little fairies that had fainted on the ground and walked over to Lia’s side with Rio.
