Chapter 727: In an Unknown World.
Chapter 727: In an Unknown World.
Location: Unknown, Time: Unknown.
"Wh-what just happened!? What is this place!?"
A look of shock appeared on Riya’s face as she looked at the endless sea of sand around her with a look of shock and disbelief on her face.
No matter how far the eyes could see, there was nothing but sand, massive boulders, and dust storms everywhere!
There were five suns shining in the sky, making the already hot desert area even more unbearably hot!
"We got teleported by someone or something?"
With a confused look on his face, Link hurriedly got closer to Riya as he spread his mana detection range to sense the surroundings and protect Riya from any incoming threats.
Lia, on the other hand, hurriedly activated her destiny manipulation ability to check and was shocked to realize that there were no ripples created in her or any of the group members’ destiny from this event.
"A peak SS-ranker has targeted us..."
Lia immediately realized the problem, as she knew that there was no way someone could have easily dodged the detection of her destiny-reading ability.
Unless they were so strong that they were far too strong for her to peep into their destiny.
"Rio and Miki are not with us... Did the two of them not get teleported with us, or have they been sent to some other location?"
Lia looked around with a solemn look on her face and felt a bit worried in her heart after not seeing Rio around.
"No need to worry about Rio; he’s strong; nothing would happen to him. We need to find where we are and find Miki if she’s here too..."
"She’s the weakest among our group and is the most in danger..."
Kai appeared on Lia’s shoulder after hearing Link’s words and spoke in a rare, solemn tone.
"I just used my powers to scan hundreds of kilometers of area... there is nothing around at all..."
"But from those five suns in the sky... I think I kind of know where we might be..."
Kai’s words attracted everyone’s attention, causing Kai to feel a bit overwhelmed.
"Err... As you know, I am very old and have traveled to many places in the universe... I have seen a place like this before..."
With a helpless tone, Kai looked at the five suns in the sky and spoke,
"The Old Planet where the ’Dwarven Race’ used to live before the ’Mana Descent’ event happened more than 2000 years ago had an environment similar to this place..."
"The alignment of the suns in the sky seems almost identical, and even the mana and elemental density in the atmosphere seem pretty similar..."
"If my guess is correct, then unfortunately... we might be on Planet Cyria-229 located in galaxy ’Dark Light.’ ..."
Kai’s voice became solemn as he continued,
"If this is true, then we are millions of light-years away from our home planet..."
Hearing those words, Riya felt like her legs had become weak and she almost collapsed on the ground.
Link, on the other hand, immediately started denying reality in annoyance.
"There’s no way that is real!"
"Everyone knows that the farther you try to teleport, the more energy you need to consume; even SS-rankers can’t teleport across galaxies this easily!"
"For such long-range teleportation, even a peak SS-ranker would have to set up a proper altar, use various artifacts to enhance themselves..."
"And the mana fluctuations created from something like that would be easily noticed by anyone, as the fluctuation would be too powerful to ignore!"
Link’s words were correct: unless the SS-ranker excels in space-related abilities and has a world authority that can cut the energy cost to a very low level, it’s near impossible for most SS-rankers to easily travel between galaxies!
They would need massive amounts of energy to even create a wormhole that stretches so far into the space-time fabric!
"No... If the person uses the power of the ’Law’ of ’Cosmic Order’... the cost of teleporting people, the cooldown, and even the wormhole opening speed... everything can be ignored easily!"
"And to tell you the truth... I am sensing overwhelming fluctuations related to the ’Law’ of ’Cosmic Order’!"
"And you don’t have to doubt me whether I have gotten it wrong... I have close ties with the ’law’ of ’cosmic order’ too! I know its working mechanisms too well!"
Lia also nodded her head at Kai’s words with a look of helplessness on her face.
"Link, Kai is telling the truth; I can also sense the ’law’ of ’cosmic order’ very accurately, and it seems that it was likely involved in this..."
"We might really have been teleported far far away from home..."
Hearing those words, Link gritted his jaw so tightly that his teeth started creaking and his nails almost dug through his skin due to clenching his fist too hard.
"Sh*t!"
"Why now!? Why must this have had to happen now of all times when we were just minding our own business!? Sh*t!"
"We just recently managed to put our lives back on track! Ugh!"
In frustration, Link punched a boulder nearby to vent his anger, causing it to be shattered into small pieces and blown away from the sheer impact of that attack.
*BOOOM!!*
Just when the group was getting confused about what to do next, Kai suddenly raised his cat head and looked in a certain direction with a shocked look.
Lia also felt a strange fluctuation in the strings of destiny, and her powerful prediction ability started to give her a bad premonition.
"Link, Riya! Get ready, a massive monster tide is rushing towards us! Get ready for combat!"
While shouting those words, Lia hurriedly unsheathed her sword and flew straight into the sky to assess the situation, only to realize that there were hundreds of thousands of beasts rushing in their direction.
"So many S-rankers!? How are there so many of them! Even the entire human army doesn’t have that many S-rankers among it!"
To Lia’s shock, there were rows and rows of powerful S-rankers among that massive monster tide, and each of them looked more sinister than the other!
