Chapter 739: Forgotten World, Cyria-229. Part-7.

Looking at this scene, the old tribe chief and the funny-voiced orc both felt distressed.

The old tribe chief took a deep breath as he spoke in a regretful voice.

"Lord Angels, to understand what’s happened to her... I will need to tell you about the history and story of our tribe briefly..."

"I don’t want to take too much time of the great Lord Angels, but..."

Before the old tribe chief could say anything else, Link shook his head and spoke in a reassuring tone.

"Don’t worry, tribe chief, we are angels and have sworn an oath to protect those in need; you don’t need to worry about anything else!"

"We have all the spare time in the world; you can tell us all of your troubles, and if we can help you all out, it would be a great pleasure to us!"

Hearing Link’s warm and compassionate voice, the old orc chief’s eyes became moist; he nodded his head and ordered a few of the orcs nearby to arrange some more water and some food for the angels.

Then he took a deep sigh and started speaking about things that he knew, and as for the things that he didn’t know, Kai added them on his own while translating the other party’s speech.

...

Cyria-229 was not always a dead, desolate planet with no life on it.

According to the old stone tablets and engravings on the ancient ruins found across the world, this planet once used to be the home of Dwarves!

In that long-gone age, the planet was decorated with beautiful advanced cities and high-tech megastructures that spanned the entire planet.

The dwarven race on this planet was so technologically advanced that they had created a giant megastructure around their planet called the Planet Alignment Modifying Engine.

That miracle of godly engineering made it possible for Cyria-229, a planet with 5 stars in this solar system, to be able to resist extreme heat and simulate a normal environment.

After the grand event that shook the entire universe and changed all cosmic laws of normal physics completely, the dwarven race was split in many small groups and flung to various places in the universe!

Some were thrown off by the void cracks into the sea of miasma; some were thrown off to the planet where Rio and the others come from, while many others were flung off to some other unknown worlds!

The sudden shift in the universe’s laws brought a massive disaster to the dwarven race, as almost all of its members were banished from this planet in a single instant!

As for those who were left behind, they created the stone slabs and hidden engravings in the ruins that tell the history of their race even until now.

Once the dwarf race disappeared, no intelligent species was left on the planet to inherit their legacy, and one by one, their entire legacy began to collapse and disappear over time.

The megastructures that the dwarven race built collapsed and got destroyed as thousands of years passed!

In these thousands of years, frequent dungeon openings, miasmic influence, demons etc, all these factors ravaged the entire planet and completely destroyed whatever was left intact!

Even the megastructures floating in the orbit of the planet were shattered and crashed into the planet by the demons and other entities.

By the time the half-orc race was thrown on this planet by a wormhole, Cyria-229 was already a destroyed planet with barren wastelands and raging volcanoes everywhere!

But of course, it still had some vitality to it, and there were still many plant and animal species surviving even in this deadly climate until then!

Half-orcs, who were a careless bunch, never recorded their past histories properly, and thus the current generation had no idea what had happened in their past.

They have no idea why the half-orcs were flung off to this planet and how they came here from a wormhole.

At most, they only knew that they came to this planet through a wormhole; aside from that, they had no idea why they were here.

But as they say, life always finds a way to adapt and survive.

Half-orcs who were thrown into this unknown planet adapted fast and managed to integrate with the ecosystem in just a few hundred years!

As the half-orc spread throughout the planet and explored the entirety of it, they came across an ancient temple’s ruin.

The temple’s ruins were located in a valley-like place that was hidden by giant hills from all sides!

The temple’s ruins had a central plaza where five extremely well-crafted statues had stood since time unknown, and due to some mysterious reason, the environment in the valley was very favorable for life.

Thus, three hundred years after arriving on Cyria-229, a small orc tribe settled down in the ruins of the temple.

For decades things went completely normally, as nothing out of the ordinary happened.

But then one day, when hunting outside, a hunting party of the tribe came across a being of some unknown species in the vast desert and decided to bring that being back to the tribe.

"Wait wait... you mean you didn’t even know what that creature was, and you decided to bring it to your tribe?"

"Talk about being careless..."

Link shook his head in disappointment, but before he could speak any further, the old tribe chief’s eyes narrowed as he spoke.

"Lord Angel... until today I didn’t know what that creature was... but after seeing you three things have changed..."

In a solemn tone, the old tribe chief spoke.

"The creature looked just like you three; he was definitely an angel, just like you three!"

Hearing those words, Link’s and the others’ eyes widened slightly.

They all realized that the half-orc tribe chief was telling them that they had found a human on this planet that was located millions of light-years away from the only known planet where humans existed!

Before Link and the others could question anything, the orc tribe chief suddenly spoke in an eerie tone.

"The moment we brought that lord angel to our tribe... some incomprehensible unknown primordial being woke up from the altar located at the center of the temple’s ruins."
