Ashtel’s words carried a lot of weight in the world alliance right now as everyone was under the impression that he was the one who made the demon king and his army retreat.

But to prevent any mishap like now from happening again, they had to put up a temporary blockade regardless of cost until all the disaster rescue activities are completed and the world is back on track.

"Once the traitor amidst us is purged, our people will have recovered from this disaster. We will punish the demon race severely for what they have done and make them remember why they were driven almost extinct a thousand years ago!"

Hearing those words from Ashtel, everyone cheered up and nodded in satisfaction!

’This is all I can do to buy time for you, Rio. Please don’t make us wait too long; the world needs a new direction and a new leader desperately.’

If people found out about this ability, they would all have to live in fear that the demon race knew everything about them and they were all under the mercy of the demon race that could easily invade them all at any moment they wanted!

It was better to lie and delay the war by claiming a traitor had leaked information than to completely destroy the confidence and trust that the world alliance and its members had in themselves and each other!

But the legendary skill ’Destined Fate’ was not any ordinary ability at all; it could easily bypass even the blessing of the ’World’ and affect its targets with such precision that it was almost impossible to defend against.

Moreover, the Demon King has had this skill for a thousand years now! His mastery over it is almost reaching the level of mastery that Rio has over his sword intent!

Just the fact that someone had the same level of mastery over a legendary skill as Rio was already insane to begin with; now the Demon King even had the body of a member of the Nebo Civilization that had a high affinity for the ’law’ of ’cosmic order’!

His power and control over the ’law’ of ’cosmic order’ was now so powerful that he was simply in a completely different league compared to people like Ashtel and the Dragon King Idri.

Thus, fighting him right now was an unwise choice that Ashtel wouldn’t make again.

"Thus, healing the world tree takes higher priority. After the human empire’s troubles are solved, the world tree shall be healed as fast as possible."

Ashtel knew that Rio was planning something and even the Demon King was not just going to sit still for long.

Sooner or later, a big change was about to happen in the world, and Ashtel couldn’t tell the others about it right now, as he himself wasn’t sure of it.

But he knew that in such a time, he couldn’t expose Rio and the others to danger.

He needed to take them back home so nobody would dare to plot any secret plans against them.
