Not being able to sway the miasma inside the Demon King’s body, Rio had no other choice but to focus his mind on other aspects.

While focusing miasma to help the crown and attack the world authority of the Demon King, Rio himself rushed towards the Demon King with full speed!

’If I can’t hurt him with tricks and techniques, I might as well close the distance and fight him in close range!’

Just when Rio was thinking of closing the distance, a massive arrow came flying at him at such unbelievable speed that Rio barely managed to tilt his head to the side and still got scratched on the left cheek!

The Demon King changed his ’class’ into ’Archer’ the moment he noticed Rio trying to close the distance and opened fire on Rio!

The Demon King literally summoned a small pulsar on the tip of the arrow and fired a literal beam of cosmic radiation at him!

The attack was extremely strong, but what made Rio even more alarmed was the bow that the Demon King was using!

Seeing that bow, many thoughts ran in Rio’s mind in an instant as he immediately realized that this attack was unavoidable!

Using Ashtel Rex’s ’Repulsion’ type space abilities and mixing it with miasma, Rio created a perfect barrier for the radiation beam attack.

The radiation beam was, in a sense, a form of particle bombardment attack, and most of them were radiation particles that fell under the authority of ’Light Elemental.’ Miasma and space were the perfect counter to it!

The massive beam hit Rio’s barrier, and Rio barely managed to stop it by using several miasma crystals to pour enormous power into it.

Cracks appeared in the barrier, but Rio was able to barely withstand it by pouring all of his sword intent into the barrier’s enhancement!

’Urgh, this is the difference between S-rank and SS-rank; the output of an SS-ranker is simply too overwhelming.’

Even if Rio had base stats almost at the level of an SS-ranker due to his unique skills and talents, he still couldn’t match an SS-ranker because the raw output of his stats was not able to keep up with an SS-ranker whose entire body was modified in such a way that their every atom was meant to be a lethal weapon!

Rio channelled and controlled miasma through his own body and the help of sword intent; Vinash had no part in it aside from being an amplifier at most.

It’s summoning or unsummoning had no effect on Rio’s barrier, and the Demon King should know this too. Thus, Rio felt quite confused at this course of action and immediately re-summoned his sword!

Unfortunately, resummoning Vinash was the greatest mistake that Rio made in the entire battle.

The moment Rio resumed his sword, the Demon King suddenly appeared behind him, as if he had teleported there out of complete nothingness!

The Demon King changed his class at the last moment into the rare class ’Assassin’ and used the ability to move through darkness unhindered of the Assassin class to directly bypass Rio’s barriers!

And before Rio could react, he instantly stabbed the weird-looking dagger that he had summoned much earlier in the battle into Rio’s back!

An ominous cracking noise rang out as the Demon King’s world authority, ’True Paradise,’ manifested into being instantly, and the Crown of Endless Realms fell on the ground right in front of Rio!

"You lost... I win."

Although the wound made by that strange dagger was barely even considered a minor injury to Rio, who had once survived having his heart shattered, Rio still found himself feeling weak and powerless all over his body!

His strength that could destroy mountains in an instant started to disappear, and he fell to his knees; blood flowed out of his mouth, and his entire body started to become weirdly transparent.

"This is... the collapse of world anchors..."

With great difficulty, Rio spat out these words as disbelief appeared in his eyes.

"The dagger that you originally ignored when I summoned it in front of you earlier was actually made by Alverto with the power of ’That’ entity using some of the broken pieces of the legendary ’Sword of Cosmic Order, Raksha’..."

"Alverto once used this dagger to strip off the luck from ’Fade Crests’ body for his own goals..."

The Demon King walked over in front of Rio and sat down on the ground and looked at the rising sun in the distance while speaking,

"How do you think that weak and pathetic ’Fade Crest’ survived the explosion that Alverto created with his life on the stake? That explosion almost killed you; Fade Crest could have never survived that by himself..."

A faint smile appeared on the Demon King’s face as he replied in a calm voice,

"It was me who saved him and teleported him out... I seized this dagger back then as I knew a day would come when I would need it..."
