Although Lia was hesitant, she still accepted her father’s wishes and took the papers before carefully storing them away in her space ring.

The papers felt much heavier in her hands than their actual weight, and she silently promised herself that she would never let her father’s lifelong effort fade away.

"By the way, although you two have decided to move out, I hope that you won’t forget to visit this old man once in a while, or I will cry from loneliness and protest to Mel about it!"

Mel, who was nearby, rolled her eyes and spoke.

"Master, I think I should accompany Lady Lia and go to their mansion instead; the working conditions here are a bit unfair."

She said it so calmly and seriously that anyone who did not know her would have believed that she was truly considering handing in her resignation.

Mel was already half a family member to James, so he immediately protested.

"No way! I’m not letting both of my daughters leave together! Unless you also have someone you like and want to marry, I will not agree to you leaving!"

Mel was only a few years older than Lia, and from James’s perspective, she was almost a child of the same generation as Lia!

Moreover, she had taken care of Lia on his behalf, and he had already begun to think of her as his own adopted daughter!

Losing both of his daughters to Rio was a bit too unacceptable!

Rio knew that wearing a wedding dress and looking pretty is one of the most important events in the life of a girl, and Rio had to do his best to make that venue and day as beautiful as possible for Lia, so he was in no hurry.

It might take months, but Rio was planning to prepare a very grand wedding ceremony!

He could already imagine Lia walking down a long and shining aisle in a gentle white dress, with a soft smile on her face and all her loved ones watching her with proud and joyful eyes.

"Wedding halls... Hmmm, you have too many friends and visitors; almost all SS-rankers of the world would be attending, and the number of S-rankers coming would exceed a thousand, so we will need something worthy..."

"Let me make some investigations... even if there is no such wedding hall, we can just make a new one; we don’t lack money anyways!"

Lia was James’s precious daughter, and he was willing to spend his entire fortune just to make her special day as grand as possible!

Even Rio nodded his head at those words.

"Yes! How can a place used by others be worthy of the great and mighty Lia Silver! We must build a new wedding hall for her!"

Rio and Lia both rolled their eyes at James’s boasts and ignored his complaints completely.

They were both still young and still had a long life ahead of them; there was no need to be hasty about such things at all!

Rio’s name and achievements spread far and wide, and the entire human empire declared a month-long paid holiday for everyone!

The war that had spanned for almost two thousand years and had cost the lives of countless demi-gods and other humans had come to an end; even a month-long celebration was too short for such a grand occasion!

Rio was also invited by many news channels and companies, but he refused them all instantly.

He only showed his face once at the event held by the awakener’s association at Ashtel’s request and only gave a simple short speech to motivate the awakeners before heading back to the embrace of his wife.

Even Raji was impressed by how good Rio’s work-avoiding skills had become, and she secretly copied a few of his work-denial skills to lie flat like a dead log in order to not do any work.

In the following days, Rio and Lia went on a shopping spree to buy various items and things that their new home would need, and even Link, Liam, and the others were pulled over by the two of them on the vacation!

Riya and Ellie went full aggressive mode and bombarded Lia with hundreds of questions about the proposal and the other love talk while the three boyfriends carried the burden of the shopped items.

Link and Liam even snickered at Rio cheekily, saying,

"Keke, see, even a demigod has to bend his head in front of his wife’s whims! Kekeke..."

Looking at those cheeky smiles, Rio directly gave short-term aggressive diarrhea to them both with his ’World Authority,’ causing even Riya and Ellie to laugh out loud till their stomachs hurt.

With happy smiles and new dreams in mind, Rio and Lia prepared for their new home and beyond...
