Chapter 1247: The Doctor, The Prince, The Boy ( 1247 )
Chapter 1247: The Doctor, The Prince, The Boy ( 1247 )
Gracelle averted her eyes from Javier’s face, her cheeks flushed.
He’s so handsome.
Lucky Miss Liana, having a husband as handsome as him.
His smile... that charming smile...
He’s not just tall and well-built, but also skilled and a doctor, a rank higher than even a master healer.
And he’s a prince. Next in line for the throne.
She stole another quick glance at the handsome man in front of her before looking away again, her cheeks burning.
No...
Stop looking at another man, Gracelle!
You’re here to meet Javier De Armand, not to steal glances at someone else’s fiancé!
She glanced at the girls standing beside the handsome prince, along with Liana.
Ah... everyone around him is so gorgeous, graceful, and beautiful.
And among them, Miss Liana truly is the most stunning...
Well... I suppose that’s only natural for a charming, handsome man like him.
Gracelle swallowed hard before averting her eyes again, feeling shy and flustered as she kept stealing glances at him.
Ah... why do I keep staring at him?
And why does my heart race so fast every time I look at him?
She tried her best to avert her eyes, but her gaze kept landing on the handsome prince.
Ah~ I could feel my heart was about to explode.
Gracelle squirmed slightly in her wheelchair, feeling restless and fidgeting before glancing at Liana.
"Umm... ummm..." she mumbled softly.
Liana tried her best to look calm, hiding her smirk behind a composed expression.
She moved toward Gracelle when she saw the girl signaling her to come closer.
"Mm? Yes, Gracelle?" Liana stopped and leaned down, her voice soft as Gracelle whispered.
"Umm... you said I could meet Javier De Armand. Is... is he nearby?"
Liana smirked subtly but maintained a calm face as she whispered back. "Oh yes~ He’s not too far from here."
"Umm... I... I want to see him now... can I? Please?"
Liana nodded and stood straight. She was about to move toward Javier but paused, giving a proper bow along with all the healers as another voice called out.
"Javier."
The voice calling that name made Gracelle glance around, and she saw a group approaching them.
Javier... so he’s here...
Gracelle’s heart raced, not noticing that the handsome prince had turned and gave a slight bow, along with Gloria and the other girls.
"Esteemed Father. Esteemed Mother."
Gracelle turned her gaze toward the handsome prince, who was now giving a proper bow toward the stern man and the beautiful woman with golden-brown hair. Her eyes widened before she noticed Liana was no longer hiding her smirk.
"E... eh?"
The stern man stood in front of her with a faint smile.
"How are you feeling, young lady?"
"A... ah... ah... ah..." Gracelle stammered, her voice trembling. "M... my Lord... m... my Lady..."
Liana exhaled while still bowing, giving Gracelle a subtle side glare. Rolland and Sylvia, along with their escort, were already in a deep, respectful bow.
"Address them as Your Majesty," Liana whispered urgently under her breath. "That is King Garius De Armand and Queen Francesca De Armand."
"Eh?" Gracelle was too stunned to respond. Then her eyes widened again as she glanced up at Garius and Francesca, who had arrived and now stood beside him.
"A... ah... ah... Y... Your Majesty!! Pardon this humble subject for not recognizing you sooner! I...I am deeply honored by your presence!" Gracelle stammered, her voice trembling with panic.
Her mind raced as she stared at the familiar faces before her.
That stern face... that golden-brown hair... I remember them from years ago... from Lady Francesca’s birthday celebration...
Does this mean...
That handsome guy...
Was... actually...
Javier De Armand?
She swallowed hard, her thoughts spiraling.
So the doctor who saved me...
The young master Miss Liana serves...
The prince everyone bows to...
The man who made my heart race just now...
Is... him?
She glanced sideways at Liana, who was still bowing, and noticed the satisfied smirk barely hidden on her lips.
Eh? Does this mean Liana knew all along?
Garius clasped both hands behind his back and glanced at Rolland and Sylvia.
"Rolland, Sylvia."
"Y... yes, Your Majesty?"
"You two are coming with me. Today is my son and daughter’s wedding. I’m sure you both still remember Aelius and Athine, don’t you?"
"Yes, Your Majesty. We remember them. It will be an honor to attend their celebration." Rolland replied, still maintaining his deep bow.
"Mm. Just inform your Captain Bhujar and your trusted officers from yesterday to take charge for two or three days. You both will be staying in Armand during the celebration."
"As you wish, Your Majesty," Rolland said, his voice steady and respectful.
Garius turned his glance toward Alf and Erinette. "Are all our staff and maids already out of both buildings?"
"Yes, Your Majesty." Alf replied in a formal butler tone. "I have already contacted all of our staff via mana talkie to confirm their status. All maids and personnel are now assembled in the next courtyard as instructed."
"Mm. Good." He glanced at Javier. "Javier?"
"Yes, Father?"
"You may store one of the temporary buildings after this, but leave one as a temporary base for our special units and officers to assist Mathrias in its recovery and stabilization." He rubbed his chin thoughtfully before continuing. "Can you spare around one hundred of your knights to safeguard this Mathrias Estate?"
"As you command, Esteemed Father. I have already made sure to retrieve all the special white knights and have summoned one hundred standard knights to patrol and safeguard this area. They are already stationed and actively patrolling the perimeter."
"Mm... Good." Garius glanced at the mana watch on his wrist. "We will be moving soon. We don’t want to be late for Aelius and Athine’s wedding. I assume you can prepare everything and have the Gaasad-1 ready within... say, thirty minutes?"
"As you command, Esteemed Father."
"Mm... Good." Garius nodded, his tone firm but satisfied. "I will be waiting with the others in the next courtyard. Do not keep us waiting." He turned and walked away, followed closely by Alf and Erinette.
Francesca smiled warmly at Gracelle. "Young lady~ You and Javier must have had quite a chat yesterday and today. I hope you’re feeling better now."
"Ah... y... yes, Your Majesty. I am truly grateful for everything your family and the Armand healers have done for me." Gracelle replied in a formal, noble tone, bowing her head respectfully.
"Good. I’m glad." Francesca was about to turn but paused, glancing at Liana. "Oh, Liana?"
"Yes, Lady Mother?" Liana smiled and gave a graceful bow.
"What’s with the maid uniform again? Didn’t I already tell you and Gloria to stop wearing it now that you’re to be official fiancées?"
Liana smiled and gave a teasing glance toward Javier. "Ah... pardon, Lady Mother. But Young Master insisted on me wearing it. He said he couldn’t bear to see me out of it just yet."
Francesca exhaled softly before giving Javier a sharp, maternal glare, making him flinch and quickly avert his eyes.
"Really, Honey Bun... you just can’t let go of Liana in her maid uniform, can you?"
She shook her head with a fond smile before turning her gaze back to Gracelle.
"Young lady, don’t be shy. Feel free to chat with Javier while we prepare to leave. He may be a prince, but he’s still the same boy who saved your life." She gave a gentle, reassuring smile before walking away gracefully, followed by her group of maids.
