Chapter 1264: A Serious and Scary Sister ( 1264 )

Francesca gave Garius a teasing side glance before turning her gaze back to their youngest son, who was now striking several dramatic poses in the courtyard, as if mocking an unseen opponent.

"Arara~ Don’t be too surprised, dear. Besides, I believe it’s a good time for you to finally face that promise you’ve been avoiding."

"B... but... you know we’ll be busy with..."

Francesca cut him off gracefully, her voice calm and melodic. "You don’t need to worry too much, dear. I believe she’s just coming to visit her youngest sister. Maybe~ Veldrac just wants her to check on how Delya is doing in Armand."

"Ah... o... okay..." Garius exhaled, leaning back in his chair, resting his cheek on his knuckle while his elbow rested on the armrest.

Sigh... another troublesome situation incoming...

Meanwhile.

In the room next to Javier’s room.

Gracelle was sitting up on the bed, engaged in a game of wooden block stacking with Mimi. Mimi sat on a chair beside the bed, biting her lower lip in excitement, her small fang showing, her tail swaying energetically.

She carefully pulled one block from the bottom of the tower and slowly placed it on top, her tongue sticking out slightly in concentration.

"Hee~ Your turn, junior wife~" Mimi chirped, grinning at Gracelle.

Gracelle pursed her lips, focusing intently on the wobbling tower.

Nearby, Gloria sat on a cushion, reading a book with a relaxed expression. Felicia was seated gracefully, her legs crossed, focused on drawing something with delicate, precise strokes.

Delya stood at the main door, speaking with one of the Armand female officers.

"Princess Delya." The female officer said, holding a sealed document. "A message has arrived from the Demon Nation Command Center."

"Hmm?" Delya tilted her head, one hand hugging her chocolate jar while the other rested a finger on her lips. She glanced at the sealed scroll. "For me?"

"Yes, Princess Delya. A formal notification from the Demon Nation."

"Oh... from my brother?" Delya’s eyes lit up with curiosity as she reached for the scroll.

The female officer gave a formal bow. "I will take my leave now."

"Mm... okay." Delya mumbled softly, smiling as she glanced at the sealed scroll in her hand.

I wonder what it is?

She turned the scroll over in her hands, examining it before closing the door and walking inside.

Gloria, who had been reading her book, looked up as Delya approached. She set the book down on her lap and watched as Delya settled onto a cushion nearby, placing her chocolate jar aside.

"Delya?"

"Yes, Sis Gloria?" Delya tilted her head, glancing at Gloria.

"A message from your nation?"

"Mm~ Maybe just from my brother. Perhaps he just wants to know how I’m doing." Delya let out a soft exhale. "Besides, I forgot to contact him for a month... he’s probably worried about me."

"Oh~" Gloria smiled, adjusting her glasses before lifting her book and continuing to read.

"Hmm?" Delya glanced at the book Gloria was holding. "I’ve never seen that book before... Is it good?"

"Ah~" Gloria smiled, lifting the book slightly to show the cover. "This one?"

"Mm... yes."

"This one was written by Young Master."

"Eh? He can write stories too?"

"Umm..." Gloria placed a finger on her lips thoughtfully. "It’s a story about a kind-hearted girl who was mistreated by her stepmother and stepsisters, but through kindness and a little bit of magic, she attended a grand ball and captured the heart of a prince. It’s a beautiful tale about hope and love."

"Wow... Danna-sama wrote something like that?" Delya’s eyes sparkled with curiosity. "Can I borrow it after you’re done?"

"Of course~" Gloria said warmly, returning to her reading.

Delya opened the scroll and began reading it slowly, her expression thoughtful.

Meanwhile, Mimi jumped in excitement, wiggling her butt playfully as she celebrated another victory over Gracelle, who pouted in dissatisfaction.

"Nyahahaha~" Mimi put both hands on her hips, puffing her chest up with a smug expression. Her tail swayed triumphantly, and her ears twitched with delight. "Still too early for you to beat me, junior wife~"

"Mou! Again!" Gracelle puffed her cheeks, determined to win the next round.

Felicia glanced at Mimi before letting out a long, weary exhale, shaking her head slightly at her little sister’s childish behavior.

"Mimi... you are a girl, a woman now. Stop acting like a child."

"Nya?" Mimi tilted her head down, a teasing grin spreading across her face. Her tail swayed slowly as she spoke. "Nee-sama never wins in this game or any game with me anyway."

"Hmmph. Who cares about games?" Felicia replied, her tone cool and dignified. She turned back to her drawing gracefully, her posture elegant and composed. "A proper princess should be refined and composed, like me, focusing on art and grace, not childish games."

Mimi narrowed her eyes, sticking her tongue out playfully before continuing to set up the wooden blocks again. "Sounds boring, nya~"

Delya’s eyes widened slightly as she finished reading the scroll. A soft blush crept onto her cheeks, and she let out a quiet, surprised sound.

"Ah..."

Gloria glanced up from her book. "Something wrong, Delya?"

"Umm..." Delya fidgeted nervously, her fingers tracing the edge of the scroll.

Mimi and Gracelle glanced at Delya, noticing her sudden unease. Felicia paused her drawing and looked at her with concern.

"What’s wrong?"

"Umm..." Delya hesitated, her face showing a mix of worry and anxiety. "It... it’s..."

"What is it?" Gloria nudged her glasses and set her book aside.

"M... my sister... will come and... visit me here."

"Hmm? Isn’t that a good thing?"

"Y... yeah... but... she... she..."

"What about her?" Gloria tilted her head in confusion.

Delya swallowed hard, glancing sideways before mumbling softly.

"She’s someone who rarely talks, but she’s serious and scary... even more intimidating than Liana when Liana is serious, and stricter than Felicia when it comes to rules, etiquette, and manners. She’s... very strict."

Gloria smiled warmly, shaking her head gently. "No~ I don’t think she’ll be that bad. She’s your sister, after all. I’m sure she just wants to make sure you’re doing well here. And besides, once she sees how happy you are with Young Master and all of us, I’m sure she’ll soften up."

"No... umm... you don’t understand... she’s someone who has absolutely no tolerance for nonsense. She’s strict, serious, and she doesn’t joke around. Ever."

"Really?" Gloria tilted her head, crossing her arms thoughtfully.

"Yes..." Delya mumbled softly, her gaze dropping to the floor.

Felicia put down her sketchbook, crossing her arms and legs gracefully.

"Mm... I believe I saw her once during an official visit to our royal palace years ago. When King Veldrac visited our father during an official visit. It was during the ruler summit before..." Felicia paused, recalling the memory. "I was a teenager back then."

Gloria glanced at Felicia. "So she’s really as Delya describes?"

"Perhaps. I didn’t get a chance to get close or greet her. She seemed too serious and always alert, like she was constantly on guard. She didn’t engage in any casual conversation or social pleasantries. She simply observed and remained silent."
