Chapter 1353: Wind in His Hair, Punches in His Gut ( 1353 )
Chapter 1353: Wind in His Hair, Punches in His Gut ( 1353 )
Armand Nation.
Few miles before the eastern border.
"Yeeehaaaa!!!"
Javier let out a triumphant shout, the wind whipping through his hair as Buddy sprinted at full speed, his powerful legs pounding against the earth. Behind them, three wild pekko kept pace, their movements synchronized as they matched Buddy’s speed, their forms glowing faintly with the buff aura radiating from the lead pekko.
"Woo! Looks like your buff can even keep those wild ones in pace!"
"Cuquawked!!" Buddy let out a proud, triumphant squawk, his feathers ruffling with excitement.
Javier laughed, the wind whipping through his hair as he leaned forward, gripping Buddy’s feathers.
"Man! This is fun! This speed! This wind! Eheheheh~ This is why I never bothered crafting transport tech like motorcycles or cars. Who in their right mind would make those when you have a pekko that can run this fast?!"
Javier rubbed his chin thoughtfully, leaning closer to Buddy as the pekko continued to sprint at full speed.
"Buddy?"
"Cuquawked?"
"I wonder... why did both Liana and Gloria punch me in the stomach earlier? After they met with Mother?"
"Cuquawked~"
"Hmm... weird, right?"
"Cuquawked~"
Few moments earlier...
Armand Estate, open courtyard.
Just as Liana finished applying the last touches to Javier’s beggar makeup, a maid approached, bowing gracefully.
"Miss Liana, Miss Gloria. Her Majesty wishes to see both of you."
"Now?" Liana exchanged a glance with Gloria before nodding. "Very well. Tell Her Majesty we will be there shortly."
She turned back to Javier, her expression soft but firm. "Young Master, please do not leave before I return. I wish to see you off properly."
Javier grinned. "Alright, alright. I’ll wait."
Liana gave him one last, lingering look before she and Gloria followed the maid toward the manor.
"Nya?" Mimi tilted her head, her tail swaying curiously. "Husband, do you know why they’re being called?"
Javier shrugged, glancing toward Liana and Gloria as they disappeared into the manor. "No idea."
Mimi closed the distance, climbing onto Javier’s back and wrapping her arms around his neck before rubbing her cheek against his, giggling softly as she purred.
"Ne ne~"
"Hmm? Yes, Mimi?"
"Once your mission is finished, take me on the date you promised long ago~ Let’s go to the Gaze City market and go sightseeing together, nya!"
Javier chuckled, patting her head from the side. "Alright~"
He glanced at Felicia and Delya, his smile widening. "After this mission is done, we’ll all go on a picnic somewhere nice."
"R-Really?" Delya’s eyes sparkled, her expression dreamy and excited. "I want to go too!"
Felicia smiled shyly, nodding softly. "I would like somewhere with a stream... it would be nice to relax by the water."
Javier smiled warmly, his gaze shifting to Gracelle, who was seated near Felicia, silent and fidgeting. Her fingers toyed with the hem of her dress, her eyes fixed on the ground.
He softened his voice, gentle and inviting. "What do you think, Gracelle?"
"I... I..." Her face flushed a deep crimson, her words stumbling as she fidgeted even more.
Javier smiled, stepping closer and leaning in slightly, his voice dropping to a low, tender tone. "I want to have fun together with everyone. Including you, Gracelle."
Her face turned an even deeper shade of red, and before anyone could react, her eyes fluttered and she began to slump backward, fainting again. Felicia quickly reached out, catching her gently and steadying her on the chair.
Mimi laughed, pointing excitedly. "Nyahaha! Husband is doing it again! Making Junior faint with just his voice~"
"Danna-sama~" Delya shook her head, her smile dreamy as she glanced at Gracelle before turning her gaze to Javier. "You really shouldn’t use that voice when talking to Gracelle. She’s not used to it yet."
"Eh? But I was just talking normally," Javier said, glancing at her with genuine confusion.
Felicia exhaled softly, a faint smile on her lips as she focused on her book, mumbling under her breath. "It’s that inviting, charming voice of yours... it could melt any girl’s heart... We all feel it, you know."
"Ne ne~" Mimi pressed her cheek against Javier’s, her tail swaying playfully. "I wonder what will happen when you and Gracelle finally mate, nya? She might faint the whole time~"
"Oh, hush, Mimi." Javier gave her a side glance as she continued rubbing her cheek against his. "I’m not thinking about that all the time."
Mimi giggled, her tail swishing mischievously. "If you don’t think about it, why do you ravish all of us so hard every time, nya~?"
Felicia’s face flushed red, and she buried her nose deeper into her book, mumbling softly. "Mimi... you shouldn’t say such things so openly..."
Delya simply smiled dreamily, saying nothing, her gaze soft and amused.
Just as Javier was about to respond, Liana and Gloria emerged from the manor, walking gracefully toward them.
Delya tilted her head, her voice light. "Ah... Big Sis Liana and Big Sis Gloria are back."
Mimi climbed down from Javier’s back as he turned to face Liana and Gloria, a curious smile on his lips. "So, what did Mother call you both for?"
Liana smiled, her expression calm and composed. "Nothing important, Young Master. Just some... personal matters."
"Oh..." Javier nodded, accepting her answer.
Liana glanced around and noticed Gracelle had fainted again. She let out a soft sigh, mumbling under her breath, "When will she be able to talk to him normally..."
Javier smiled, looking around at all of his fiancées. "Alright, I’m heading off. Don’t worry, everyone. This won’t take long. And like I promised, after this mission is done, we’re going on a picnic!"
Everyone smiled, with Mimi letting out an excited cheer. Javier placed both hands on his hips and called out, "Buddy!"
"Cuquawked!?"
"Let’s go now. Tell the three wild pekko to be ready."
"Cuquawked!"
Liana and Gloria moved closer to Javier, both wearing sweet, knowing smiles. Gloria nudged her glasses, her expression soft and serene.
"Young Master?" Liana said, her voice gentle.
"Hmm? Yes, Liana?"
"Before you go... there’s something special we both want to give you."
"Oho? What is it?"
Liana stepped closer, her hand resting elegantly on his shoulder as she channeled her mana. A magic circle appeared around her fist before she drove it into his stomach with a solid punch.
"Buhh!!"
"Arara~ Young Master, my turn next~" Gloria chimed in sweetly, channeling her own mana and delivering another powerful punch to his stomach the moment Liana pulled back.
Javier doubled over, gasping for breath before glancing up, bewildered. "What was that for?"
"Nothing~" Liana and Gloria smiled in unison, clasping their hands in front of them. "Just a little gift and our best wishes for your journey~"
