Chapter 1379: The Goddess’s Sister ( 1379 )
The man noticed movement in the distance just as a lovely, sweet voice called out to him.
“Harran? Is the boy here yet?”
A woman with long, flowing golden-brown hair approached, her steps graceful and serene. She wore an ethereal silk gown that shimmered with every movement, the fabric draping elegantly around her form. The gown accentuated her full bust and slender waist, flowing down to sway gently with her graceful hips, and trailing behind her in a soft, silken train that glow with a faint inner light. Her presence was breathtaking, like a living embodiment of beauty and grace.
Harran swallowed hard, quickly sitting down to cover Javier’s unconscious form behind him. He rubbed the back of his head, letting out a sheepish laugh.
“Umm… I’m… err… still waiting for him.”
The woman tilted her head, her eyes scanning the area with quiet curiosity. She raised her palm gracefully, a soft glow flickering around her fingers before she lowered it.
“Hmm… really? But I can feel Fransesca’s son nearby.”
Her eyes narrowed, and she shot a suspicious look at Harran, who let out a low, nervous whistle and looked away.
The woman’s gaze shifted, her eyes landing on a pair of feet peeking out from behind Harran. Her expression shifted, her voice dropping into a sweet, dangerous tone.
“Really~? Hmm? Then tell me, Harran, my sweet little brother~” She tilted her head, her smile turning icy. “Whose feet are those behind you?”
Harran swallowed hard, his voice faltering. “Ah… I… I can explain…”
Before he could finish, the woman grabbed a fistful of his hair and yanked him forward, revealing Javier’s unconscious form on the ground. Her eyes widened, then narrowed into a furious glare.
“What have you done to Fransesca’s boy?! Ugh! If Fransesca finds out about this, you will feel her wrath, and I will not step in to help you!”
“Ehhhh!?” Harran’s eyes widened in panic. “He’s the one who attacked first! I just… umm… you know… err… stopped him?”
The woman’s glare hardened, her voice cold. “There must be a reason why he attacked you in the first place. What did you do to provoke him?”
Harran threw his hands up defensively. “I didn’t do anything to provoke him, Fayrene! I just… well… didn’t explain when he asked how I knew his mother and father!”
Fayrene exhaled sharply, shoving Harran aside with an irritated huff. She knelt down and lifted Javier effortlessly, settling onto the soft grass before laying his head gently on her lap. Her fingers brushed through his hair, her touch warm and soothing.
“Wake up, cutie pie~”
Javier’s eyes fluttered open, his vision slowly focusing on the woman above him.
“M… Mother?”
“Ara~ He called me Mother~” Fayrene’s smile widened, her voice carrying a hint of amusement. “My, my~ Sweet cutie pie~”
Javier’s eyes snapped wide open. He shot up, scrambling to his feet and positioning himself between her and Harran, his arms spread protectively.
“Mother, run! I’ll buy you some time!”
“Ara~” Fayrene smiled sweetly, her eyes glinting with amusement. “Why would I need to run, cutie pie?”
Javier’s stance remained firm, his voice sharp with protective urgency. “Because this guy is after you, Mother! He knows you and Father, he must be the one after our family!”
Fayrene chuckled softly, raising her knuckle to her lips to stifle her laughter. “Silly boy~ That’s your uncle. Look properly, cutie pie.”
“Huh?” Javier blinked, glancing at Harran, who was rubbing the back of his head with a sheepish grin. He turned back to Fayrene, his eyes scanning her face. She had the same features as his mother, the same elegant nose, the same soft eyes, the same delicate smile.
But there was one noticeable difference.
Her breast was significantly larger than Fransesca’s.
Fayrene tilted her head, a playful glint in her eyes.
“Aw~ Such a cute little boy~ So tell me, which one is more beautiful? Me or my little sister? Hmm? Come on, be honest~”
“Aunt?”
Fayrene puffed her cheeks, her expression turning into a playful pout. “Don’t call me aunt, silly! Call me big sister!”
“Err… but…”
Fayrene giggled, waving a hand dismissively. “I don’t like being called aunt. It makes me feel old. Now, now~ Call me big sister~”
She reached out and gave Javier’s hand a playful slap.
The force sent him flying backward, crashing into a tree in the distance with a loud thud.
“Ah…”
Harran exhaled, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Fayrene… at least I used a flick on his forehead. You just slapped him flying.”
Fayrene’s eyes widened in panic as she scrambled to her feet, rushing toward the tree where Javier had landed.
“Cutie pieeee!!”
Harran let out a long, weary sigh as he slowly followed after her, mumbling under his breath.
“She warns me about being careful, and then she’s the one who does worse…”
Fayrene knelt beside Javier, lifting his head gently and cradling it in her lap. She brushed his hair back with hurried, worried strokes.
“Wake up! Please be okay, cutie pie!”
Javier’s eyes fluttered open slowly, groaning softly. A wide, relieved smile spread across her face. Without a second thought, she pulled his head and buried it into her breast, squeezing him tightly as she caressed his hair.
“Oh, my sweet cutie pie~ I was so worried~”
“Mmph!! Mmph!!” Javier’s muffled protests were lost against the soft, ample cushion of her bosom, his arms flailing weakly as he struggled to breathe.
Harran stopped beside them, shaking his head with a deadpan expression.
“Fayrene… you’re going to suffocate the boy.”
Fayene smiled warmly, pressing a kiss to the top of Javier’s head while still squeezing him tightly against her chest.
“No way my sweet cutie pie would die from my love. Besides, I’m sure he loves it~ Look, look~”
Harran folded his arms, his expression flat. “Fayene… he’s an adult, remember?”
Fayene shot a sharp glare up at him before turning her gaze back to Javier, who was now flailing weakly in her embrace. She cooed softly, stroking his hair.
“He may be an adult in that world, but to us, especially to me, he’s still just a little boy~”
Harran exhaled slowly, watching as Javier’s movements gradually slowed, then stopped altogether. He tilted his head, his voice completely deadpan.
“Fayene… the boy is dead now.”
“No way he’s going to die…”
She pulled Javier away from her chest, holding him at arm’s length. His face was pale, his lips tinged with blue.
Fayrene’s eyes widened in panic.
“Gyaaaa!! Harran!!! He’s dying!!”
She tilted his head back, pinched his nose, and pressed her lips to his, blowing a gentle breath into his lungs.
Harran pinched the bridge of his nose, letting out a long, weary sigh.
“This is going to be a long day… sigh…”
