Chapter 1460: Rigid Circles vs. Natural Flow ( 1460 )

Chapter 1460: Rigid Circles vs. Natural Flow ( 1460 )

Gloria smiled softly, stepping closer to Celine. "Your understanding isn’t fully wrong. Channeling mana through pathways and circles is a valid method for structured magic. But there is a flaw in relying on that method alone."

Celine tilted her head, her brow furrowing. "A flaw?"

Gloria nodded, her voice calm and patient.

"When you rely solely on activating a magic circle to cast spells, your mana flow becomes rigid and predictable. If the surrounding mana is disturbed, whether by dense magical energy, a chaotic battlefield, or an enemy using a more advanced dispel, your spell can destabilize or fail entirely. You become dependent on the circle being perfectly formed and the environment being stable."

She crossed her arms, her expression thoughtful.

"True mana control is about making your mana flow naturally, like breathing. It’s not about forcing it through a specific pattern or relying on a circle to shape it. When you master that, your spells become faster, more flexible, and far harder to disrupt. You can adapt to any situation because your mana is always in harmony with you, not locked into a rigid structure."

Liana exhaled softly before turning toward Mimi, who was now playing in the middle of the narrow bridge, doing backflips from one end to the other with a happy grin, her tail swaying playfully.

She jumped over the pit, landing gracefully on a magic circle she created mid-air, then bounced off it like a springboard, flipping and landing on the next one. She slid across the surface of another circle as if on ice, her hands clasped behind her back, moving with effortless, carefree grace.

"Mimi?"

"Nya?" Mimi paused mid-slide, standing on a glowing magic circle beneath her feet, tilting her head with one finger on her lips, her tail swaying lazily.

Liana smiled. "Show them both how to control mana."

"Nya? Here, Big Sis?"

"Ah... right..." Liana smiled before turning away. "Let’s leave this area since these two aren’t ready for the real training yet... We’ll head to the other training hall."

"Okay, nya~" Mimi jumped off the circle, spinning beautifully in the air before landing gracefully on the ground, her tail flicking with excitement before skipping after Liana.

Liana walked gracefully, leading the way while everyone followed behind. She spoke as she moved, her voice calm and melodic.

"After this, I’ll have Mimi demonstrate so you can both observe. It’s better to learn through experience and watching real practice, rather than just listening to explanations. So, Mimi and Delya will have a practice duel for the two of you to observe."

"Eh? Delya again? It’s boring fighting her, nya~" Mimi pouted, her tail flicking in mild protest.

Delya puffed her cheeks, crossing her arms as she shot Mimi a flat look. "I also don’t want to have a practice duel with you, Mimi. I still remember how you always use those sneak attacks, poking my butt from behind with your fingers!"

"Myaaa? I’m just being creative~"

Delya let out a frustrated exhale, her eyes fixed on Mimi. "That’s not creative! That’s being annoying! Not just that, you never take practice duels seriously. You always end up groping my chest or doing something silly instead of actually fighting properly."

"Ehehe~" Mimi skipped close to Delya and casually opened her chocolate jar, taking out a piece of chocolate and eating it right in front of her, making Delya’s eyes widen in fury.

"My chocolate! Danna-sama made it specially for me! Give it back!"

Mimi started running playfully, sticking her tongue out with the chocolate resting on it before munching it with a cheeky grin. "Your husband is my husband too, nya~ And it’s just one chocolate piece~ Nyahahahaha~"

Delya’s face flushed with anger as she chased after Mimi, her voice rising.

"Give it back, you thief! That’s the last piece of the caramel crunch batch!"

"Nyahahaha~ Too slow, nya!" Mimi giggled, darting behind Gloria and using her as a shield. Delya bit her lower lip in frustration before closing her chocolate jar with a sharp click.

"Annoying cat!"

Mimi stuck her tongue out at Delya, still hiding behind Gloria, before climbing onto her back and locking both legs around Gloria’s slim waist. Gloria just shook her head, nudging her glasses up with a resigned sigh.

Liana smiled softly, watching the scene with amusement. "If not Delya, how about you do a practice duel with your sister instead?"

Felicia smirked, her eyes glinting with a sharp, eager light as she walked gracefully forward. "If Big Sister Liana wishes it, I’m more than happy to oblige~"

"Ehhh!? Fighting with Onee-sama? No!" Mimi protested, shifting from Gloria’s back to her front, peeking over Gloria’s shoulder with wide, panicked eyes. "Onee-sama is too serious! She fights with everything she has, like she’s trying to take out all her stress on me! She’s been waiting for an excuse like this for so long, nya!"

Felicia smiled, her voice sweet but carrying a dangerous edge. "What~? It’s Big Sister’s order. I’m just following along~ It’s not like I’m going to hurt my ’dear little sister~’"

"Nyaaa! Don’t want!" Mimi stuck her tongue out at Felicia. "Onee-sama will surely go all out!"

Liana smiled and said to Mimi, "If you don’t want to fight Felicia, how about we both..."

"Eeeeppp! No!" Mimi flinched, hugging Gloria tightly and burying her face between Gloria’s huge breasts before mumbling, "F-Fine! I’ll have a practice duel with Delya!"

Liana smiled, glancing over her shoulder at both Lyzia, who was still rubbing her head with pursed lips, and Celine, whose eyes were fixed on her back.

"Celine?"

"Yes, Big Sister?"

Liana’s voice was calm and gentle. "I’ll set the schedule for your training starting tomorrow. From now on, you’ll sleep with everyone in Young Master’s room."

"Eh?" Lyzia’s eyes widened before she stomped her feet in protest. "Wait, what!? I don’t want that! If Celine is sleeping with all of you, what about me?"

Liana glanced at her calmly. "You can join them when Young Master is not around. But if he’s here, you’ll sleep alone in the guest room."

"That’s not fair!" Lyzia hugged Celine from the side, walking with her, eyes narrowed at Liana. "I’m not here for long! I should have chances to sleep with Celine! She’s my best friend!"

Liana’s voice remained calm and patient. "Celine is about to become Young Master’s wife. It’s important for her to become comfortable around her husband, to be ready for the responsibilities and intimacy that come with marriage. She needs to build that bond with him and with all of us. That cannot happen if she’s sleeping apart from the family."

Lyzia pursed her lips, her voice dropping into a sulky mumble. "Not fair... I should at least be allowed to sleep with Celine while I’m staying here. For the month at least."

Liana shook her head gently. "Celine’s safety is my priority. Even though Armand’s security is the best, I will not take any chances, no matter how small. Sleeping in Young Master’s room, surrounded by his wives and the Armand family, is the safest place for her. If any threat were to come, we would all be there to protect her. That is not a risk I am willing to take."
