Chapter 1333: Nymph Monarch
Chapter 1333: Nymph Monarch
The Monarch of the demi-human kingdom finally stepped out of her cage, once more seeing the light of the artificial sun.
"Ahhh, that’s so much better," the Nymph said. "Thank you, generous stranger."
"Monarch!" Loren, Rowan, and the other demi-human citizens all turned towards their queen and inspected her for any injuries.
"Hehe, I’m fine! I’m fine! More than that, are you all alright? Doesn’t seem so..."
She looked at all the Red Mankeys in the floor, all restrained by the magic of the Shadow Orcs. "Oh my... it seems that they have tampered with your very own minds. That won’t do. Let’s see..."
The Nymph tilted her head, as if in deep thought, before suddenly raising her hands and creating a green magic circle on the floor.
Michael’s eyes widened as he realized that this ’simple’ magic was actually a 7-star level spell! He wouldn’t have expected that kind of power from a Nymph or a demi-human at all!
The green magic circle continued to gather Light and Earth mana from the surroundings, before using it to coalesce and form into vines that slowly spread out towards the Red Mankey soldiers.
Immediately, these vines grew and rooted themselves in the Red Mankeys’ fur, imbuing them with the power of the Earth itself.
And within seconds, a change occurred within these demi-humans. These people who had been brainwashed by the Ersatz assassins, was now actually regaining the light in their eyes. No longer was it cloudy with murderous intent. Instead, it was clear. As clear as the skies it was today.
"There! You’re all better now!" the Nymph said.
From that demonstration alone, Michael reazlied it. She was the one who created the Artificial Sun in the skies, allowing for life to sustain itself here in the darkness and depth of the chasm. She was the one who prevented others from finding the demi-human kingdom through her illusory wall. She was the one who did it all!
And now, the gratitude and the respect that the demi-humans had for this Nymph suddenly made sense.
"Forgive us, Monarch."
The 2nd rank general, the only one remaining amongst the top leaders of the demi-human army, the only one who hadn’t succumbed to the luscious temptation of the Ersatz power, approached the Nymph.
"I wasn’t able to see through that assassin’s disguise. I... I didn’t think that it wasn’t you..."
The Nymph kneeled towards the Red Mankey general. "It’s not your fault," she said. "Those humans were pretty powerful, you know. And it’s my fault that they were able to capture me so easily."
That was also a question Michael had. How did the Ersatz assassins capture this Nymph? From what he could see, she wasn’t a helpless queen amongst the demi-human citizens. In fact, she seemed to be the strongest, judging from the fact that she could use magic.
After all, it had been proven that only those who had reached the 9th-circle of the magic realm could still use mana.
Only people like Seberus and the other Mystic Masters, who had their own realms of magic, could use mana from their own surroundings as if they were actually using magic.
This was only corroborated by the fact that she could easily use a 7th level magic spell without breaking a sweat.
Did the Ersatz find some kind of ultra powerful weapon that could somehow break through a Mystic Master’s defenses? Had they found a new way to terrorize humanity and the entirety of the Earth?
"Haaa... it’s my fault, really. My fault.. I was too engrossed in the movie!" said the Nymph.
Michael almost fell to the floor once he heard that. "A... a movie..."
The Nymph nodded with enthusiasm. "Yes! Perhaps, you know about it?"
Then, without any prompts, she then showed Michael her own phone, showing that it was streaming a movie about a certain large Dragon terrorizing a city for a loved one of his. It was a very uninspired recreation of a movie from Michael’s past life.
Michael couldn’t believe it. Zion’s movie had somehow almost caused the demise of the entire demi-human kingdom!
She was so engrossed with the movie that she was unprepared for the attack of the Ersatz, causing her to fall to their schemes!
"That’s absurd..." he muttered out loud.
"Anyway, now that those evil humans have all been eradicated, it is high time for me to give our saviors the grace that they deserve. May I know about your name?" the Nymph asked.
"This is our great and Supreme Leader, Michael!" said the two Shadow Orc Chieftains by his side.
Narito and Sasuki both sung their unique rhythms and sounds in accordance to their own culture, making Michael’s introduction that much more impressive.
"WOW!" the Nymph clapped. "Amazing! Amazing! I like that name. It really sounds like the name of the man who created the Reborn company."
Both Sasuki and Narito shared a knowing smile. "Well..."
The Nymph’s eyes widened as the Shadow Orcs revealed the truth. "WHAT?!"
And immediately, she gushed over towards Michael, asking him all sorts of things about the Nation of Reborn as if she was an avid fan.
"Is it true that there is free electricity for every single home there?"
"Is it true that even Nymphs and Satyrs get their own housing departments?"
"How about the yearly festivals? I heard that you all show fireworks from night till morning!"
Levi, Theresa, and the other human soldiers unfamiliar with the Nation of Reborn were all completely flabbergasted when they saw how much the Nymph gushed about the Nation of Reborn.
"Before that," Michael said. "Let us get things straight first. I am here to offer you an alliance—"
"SURE!" the Nymph Monarch said, without even waiting for Michael to finish his words.
"Wait, I haven’t laid out the entire details of our agreement yet."
"It doesn’t matter," said the Nymph. "I’ve already heard everything."
It was at this point that the entire Sacred Tree shook, making everyone look around warily. Leaves started to wriggle. The vines started to squirm. And the bark of the tree itself began to vibrate!
"Nature likes you," said the Nymph. "So, I like you too!"
