Chapter 1389: Unity armored creature

Michael slashed his Unity Saber forwards, only for it to be caught in the hands of the Unity Creature in front of him.

Unity against Unity, both forces clashed against each other. And since both of their cultivation were the same as with each other, the forces cancelled out, allowing the creature to take a hold of the Unity Saber as if it was a real object.

"Quantum Slash!" Michael shouted as he imbued his Saber with even more Aubility Power.

The edges of his blade burned with an orange glow as it began to tear through the very fabric of reality itself. Then, he pushed his sword forwards, letting the Unity Creature meet the full brunt of his power.

The crescent of power unleashed, straight into the creature’s hands.

Now, with his enhanced power, the Unity Creature found itself unable to take a hold of Michael’s Saber. The crescent of burning edges of reality pushed it back with great force and speed, sending it hurtling towards the deep and dark space above them.

Michael was glad to see that the creature no longer had its hands on his saber. But it seemed that it wasn’t enough to defeat it.

After all, despite being thrown and hurtled forwards, the creature’s hands still firmly held the crescent of his Quantum Slash as if it was nothing.

Michael narrowed his eyes as he tried to understand what was happening.

And using his enhanced vision, he saw the Unity Creature’s hands. It was actually an armored gauntlet made out of solid Unity itself. And not only that, but that armor was imbued with the power of a Nascent Spirit cultivator, allowing it to fight against the Quantum Slash’s devastating force with equal reciprocity.

It flew through space for a hundred meters, before it began to slow. Then, it crushed the crescent in its hands, letting it dissipate into space.

"That’s..."

Michael was a little bit alarmed to see that one of his strongest powers were handled just like that. Even when it had been hit head-on, the Unity Creature barely even sustained any damage. Its gauntlets protected its hands entirely.

At this point, the four other armored Unity Creatures showed themselves from the cloud of smoke that had been obscuring them.

They looked towards Michael, intending to attack him all at once.

Suddenly, his Drones moved and buzzed, intercepting them from attacking him. They shot forth their Unity Guns in quick succession, almost like a gatling gun.

The Unity Creatures turned their attention to his Mini Drones. But whenever they were about to get caught, they would disappear into the darkness of space and reposition themselves.

Thankfully, Michael had brought with him about five thousand Mini Drones to help him defeat this Antique puzzle.

Otherwise, his Mini Drones would be easy prey to these Unity Creatures.

And not only that, but Michael continued to emit his Nascent Influence, allowing him to manipulate his surroundings for his advantage.

Whenever a Mini Drone was in trouble of being caught by the Unity Creatures, the ground underneath them would swallow the Mini Drone and take it into its protection. The Unity Creatures would have to dig hundreds of meters deep if they wanted to run after the Mini Drone.

Unfortunately, this was only enough to defend and distract these Unity Creatures. The Unity Gun, despite no matter how much they shot towards their targets, could do no damage to the Nascent Armors that the creatures donned around their bodies.

But at least, this gave Michael the space and freedom he needed to focus on trying to fight the Unity Creature in front of him.

The two of them traded blows.

The Unity Creature had no weapon but its fists. However, make no mistake. It was just as deadly as Michael’s Unity Saber.

It tried to attack Michael, going into melee range with him to barrage him with punches.

Thankfully, Michael’s new swordstyle allowed him to adapt to his opponent’s playstyle.

His Unity Saber became a sort of limiter. Whenever the Unity Creature came too close, Michael would swat it with his weapon like it was some kind of annoying fly.

He could tell that it was working. Even his golden nanoparticle armor wasn’t getting hit by the Unity Creature, meaning that his Quantum Evolution swordstyle was effective even against people who didn’t use weapons.

But the situation was just the same as with his Mini Drones.

He was good with defense, but not offense. He was in a stalemate against the Unity Creature.

His Unity Saber could not cut through its tough Unity Armor. And the creature could not find an opening through Michael’s defensive swordstyle.

If Michael was fighting a human opponent, he knew that he would eventually win out because of his increased sustaining factor and his large reserves of energy.

But his opponent was a creature made out of Unity itself.

Michael had a phone that never needed charging because he used a small piece of Unity to power it. How much more power would a creature have if it was made out of it entirely?

Suffice it to say, this creature could outlast him easily.

He needed to figure out a way to break through the creature’s armor.

He had a feeling that this was what the obelisk monolith was trying to test him in. It was the requirement in order for him to complete its trials and earn the prize at the end.

And so, Michael kept his eyes peeled. Not just watching, but trying to understand how the Unity Creature used its power to unleash a tremendous amount of force.

Thankfully, he wasn’t in a hurry. ChatJK6 was still trying to understand how these creatures used Unity as their armor.

So, he had quite a while before he had to figure out an offensive side to his new swordstyle.

At least, that’s what he thought.

As he faced this Unity Creature, it stopped in mid-air and simply looked at him.

Unity began to form at the bottom of its feet.

Then, it disappeared.
