Chapter 1401: Asking for advice
Chapter 1401: Asking for advice
Caliburn still couldn’t close his mouth after a long time. He was struggling to understand the logic of this black igloo. He knew that Michael and the Reborn company could do a lot of things.
But now, they were challenging the very aspects of time itself?! That was far too much, Caliburn thought.
"You’ve outdone yourself this time, Michael."
But of course, Michael didn’t create this himself. "It’s not actually something from my own hands. It’s an item from the Ancient Era."
"Whether its from the Ancient Era, the dinosaur era, or the future, it doesn’t matter. The fact that you have this power is amazing all on its own. Do you know what we could do with this kind of technology?! We could create armies that absolutely have no weaknesses!
You will be able to produce elite soldiers with years and years and years of training after only a few months! That is a technology that will be coveted by anyone in the world! And you have it!"
Michael scratched his head.
In truth, he was thinking of using the black igloo for his date with Yuna as a way to save time. But he didn’t tell Caliburn that, who would probably explode from being too frustrated. ’You’re using your overpowered time machine for a date?! Are you crazy?!’ he would probably say.
Anyway, now that Caliburn was familiar with their black igloo, they could finally go and train their soldiers.
"Can I use this for my soldiers as well," Caliburn asked sheepishly. He didn’t want the Lionhearts to pass up on such an offer.
Michael smiled at him. "I mean... aren’t they Rebornians now? Of course!"
...
...
...
And so, all of their soldiers were now going through an extensive training session through the black igloo.
Of course, Michael gave them one strict rule. Don’t go there for too long. At most, they could only spend an entire year there. And that was already pushing it.
After all, he still didn’t know if there was going to be any negative side effects from using the black igloo for too long. After all, they were basically speeding up their time, in comparison to the real world. There could be some complications with their Aubility Powers, their GodForgepieces, or their own health as well.
So for now, he only had his soldiers train there for an entire year.
The Lionhearts, the Red Mankeys, and the Rebornian soldiers went into a joint expedition into the black igloo, training like they were going to fight a green monster that was going to destroy the world.
Ah... I forgot to ask Caliburn about my swordstyle...
He was supposed to ask him about his new Quantum Evolution swordstyle to ask for some guidance, but he got caught up in a lot of things.
I could still ask Eldea, he said to himself.
And so, he went into her own private dojo here in the Nation of Reborn and found her training Jaku. The Dragonborn looked to be in a miserable time, with sweat pooling at the bottom of his feet.
"Yo! Jaku!"
The Dragonborn stayed in a fixed position. He squatted down and kept his arms straight, as if he was performing a simple strike. But there was no sword in his hand, nor were there any movements in his hand. If there was, then it was extremely slow. Slower than a snail.
"What’s up with him?"
Eldea walked up to him, with her hands behind her back. The Heavenly Swordmistress wore a simple white robe matching with a white cloth tied over her eyes.
"He’s— oh... you..."
She looked at Michael up and down, inspecting his entire body. "I see that you have succeeded in your own training. Congratulations."
She was able to see through it so easily?!
Michael was surprised. "Am I that obvious?" he said, looking at his body for any signs that told her that he had his own swordstyle. "Are you some kind of omniscient sword master?
"Hahaha," Eldea chuckled. "No, the last time I saw you, you were filled with a lot of worry and questions in your mind. And then, you told me about your own journey to find your own swordstyle and your form.
But now that I see you, you have no such worries. You’re more relaxed. A lot more at peace with yourself. So, I could only surmise that you have succeeded in creating your own swordstyle. Am I correct?"
Michael rubbed his head. "Yeah, you’re absolutely correct. I was able to figure it out."
The Heavenly Swordmistress then looked towards Jaku, who seemed to be frozen in time.
Is he stuck in the igloo or something?
"What’s up with him?"
"I have given him a new training regimen. Instead of him moving his sword at the fastest time possible, I gave him the instructions to do it at the slowest time possible.
This way, I’m training him to be more precise of his movements. The fact that he’s faster than everybody he’s ever faced has made him complacent on that fact. He needs to shore up on his basics, so the way to do that is to take away his speed."
Michael blinked, surprised with this counter-intuitive training style. "Well, it seems to be working."
"You would think," Eldea said. "But I think that he just found a way to be lazy. Even I haven’t been able to speak to him in a few days."
Michael looked at Jaku once again and realized something. He wasn’t focusing. He was dozing off! Not in the way that he was sleeping, but in the fact that his presence was probably elsewhere!
It was like one of those times when you were looking at something, and then your vision blurs, and suddenly, you’re not thinking about anything.
It seems that Jaku has mastered that so that he wouldn’t think as he continued this ’freezing’ exercise.
"As expected, he is a genius," Eldea said. "I just hope that his genius is directed to his sword."
