Chapter 1415: Reborn party

She took his breath away.

Michael was speechless. Immediately, he was transported back in his previous life, when he was looking at the illustrious Yuna Kim in that arena stage, singing her heart out to millions upon millions of listeners.

He couldn’t believe that that Yuna was actually right in front of him, standing there with a blush on her face as she waited for his reaction.

"So?"

"Ummm...."

"What did you think?" Yuna asked him.

"It’s good... you look... ahem... good."

Yuna pouted. "That’s it?"

"You... look... beautiful..."

Finally, she flashed him a smile. "That’s all I wanted to hear." Then, she held out her hand for Michael to take. "Are you ready?"

Michael and Yuna walked out of the waiting room, her hand hanging on his arm as he escorted her towards the front of the Soiree.

A few Rebornian attendants were currently making their introductions, having some small talk in order to ready the people for the eventual reveal of the leader of Reborn.

"I can’t believe you’re nervous," Yuna said. She could feel the heart beating out of his chest. "You’ve faced opponents much more powerful than this. You have faced opponents who could literally change reality itself! And yet, you’re never facing some new people?"

Michael awkwardly laughed. In truth, he wasn’t actually nervous about showing himself to the Elite Society. In truth, he was just nervous having Yuna right next to him so close. He could smell her floral scent.

Eventually, he heard the introduction.

"Now, let us all give a warm round of applause for the leader of Reborn. Michael!"

It was at this point that Michael stepped out with Yuna by his side. Below them was a staircase that led down into the main stage where the rest of their guests were waiting.

Their gazes were a mix of surprise, curiosity, and a little bit of apprehension.

His golden hair was striking against the white chandelier above, illuminating his entire figure. Immediately, the chattering amongst the guests turned silent.

Many had been wondering what kind of man the leader of Reborn was.

Some said he was a monstrous talent this world had never seen before. Some said that he was a charismatic figure who had friends in every corner of the world, including the shadows. Some said that he was actually a hermit who was pretending to be young talent.

But when they saw Michael standing there, above the stairs, they immediately realized that none of those were correct.

Michael... was a figure who emanated warmth.

They didn’t feel intimidated when they saw him. Instead, they felt that he was approachable. Someone who they could talk to with ease, despite the kind of accomplishments that he had done.

The youth on his face didn’t make him look naive. Instead, it made him look like an innovator. Someone who had fresh ideas and fresh things.

"That’s the leader of Reborn?"

"Michael... hmmm... "

"Doesn’t he look absolutely dashing? I thought he’d look more... unhandsome..."

Many were impressed with Michael’s looks. The way that his golden hair was combed to the side made him look like a young prince from another world. And added with Yuna right by his side, both of them look like royalties.

And they were already in the presence of actual royalties! There were dukes and barons and viscounts in attendance in this Soiree.

"That’s the young daughter of the Montgomeries!"

"Yuna! She’s said to be Xere’s beloved granddaughter who’s going to inherit her entire estate!"

"Such a cute pairing!"

Michael went up to the podium and faced his guests. There were a lot of people he didn’t recognize. And a lot of people he did recognize.

First of all, he saw the leaders of the Upper Echelon companies. They gave him nods of acknowledgement once they made eye contact.

No longer were there any negativity in their kind. After all, those who had opposed Reborn, had now met a terrible fate. They had either fallen down from grace, or been eliminated entirely.

As it turned out, they were correct in some way.

Reborn didn’t belong to the Upper Echelons. No, they belonged much higher up the hierarchy, amongst the Conglomerates and the major organizations of the world.

"BU TO TO! That’s the 1st and 2nd rank heirs of the Hepheasteus Conglomerate..."

Inside his ear, he heard Narito’s voice echo out as he was acquainted to two individuals amongst the guests.

The two heirs of the Hepheasteus Conglomerate were very alike. They were stout in nature, thick hair in their thick arms, bushy eyebrows, and a look of intensity in their eyes. The only difference between them was their eyes... and their gender.

The 1st ranked heir was called Erich. And the 2nd ranked heir was Euthenia.

And interestingly, despite their similarities, the two of them were very far apart. They were on opposite ends of the ballroom.

"RAH TA TA! They are rumored to be in a rivalry and have been in a war since recently," whispered Sasuki.

Both of them were looking towards Michael with a fiery and intense gaze, as if they wanted to take him in his arms and squeeze him into a ball.

They’re probably here because of the automobiles...

Of course, the Hephaestus Conglomerate was the ones most interested in the inventions of Reborn. They were supposed to be called as the most premier organization for anything metal related. However, even with their skills, they could not replicate the automobile with the same power as that of Reborn’s cars.

No wonder they attended this ball. They wanted to talk with Michael with the hopes of either killing him, or getting his cooperation.

And there’s Theresa’s siblings...

The heirs of the Goldstone Conglomerate were also present. Their gazes towards him weren’t that intense, thankfully. Despite him taking Theresa under Reborn, it seemed that they didn’t harbor any kind of negative resentment. At least, not very visible.

Well, maybe they were even thankful for him. After all, now, they had one less rival to worry about
