Chapter 1433: Flames erupt

This kind of ’willing’ was the same thing as a Nascent Influence, though at a much more controlled level.

This could only happen through one of two circumstances. One, if the cultivator suddenly awakened a kind of ’Sword Intent’ for their preferred weapon. And second, if the cultivator became so entwined with their weapon that it would become entwined with their own cultivation!

And it seemed that Elizabeth completed both!

She trusted her automobile so much, pushing it to its limits, treating it as her own true partner, that she started to awaken it as her actual weapon.

This happened frequently. The most recent example would be a famous Knight from the Order of the Heavenly Knights.

It was said that this specific Knight used only a wooden sword his entire life because of how he didn’t have any money to buy a real sword.

He continued to use this wooden sword, despite all of its weaknesses, and continued to improve using it.

It came to a point where he eventually became so intertwined with his own sword that it had become his true weapon. A weapon that was equivalent to a Mithril Artifact!

The car, although not a typical weapon, had become Elizabeth’s own equipment. It was her own form of combat!

And so, this car had now become her true Mithril Artifact, despite not being made out of Mithril at all.

This kind of connection between cultivator and weapon was said to be so powerful that they could imbue sentience into their weapon.

Some say that it was not true sentience, as the cultivator actually imbued their weapon with their own conscience, which would be more like a clone than an actual living weapon.

But many argued that this was true sentience as well.

And right now, Elizabeth seemed to have willed the F1 car to become sentient as well.

It had pushed itself to overtake the Fiery Car within a single inch, eventually snatching victory from defeat.

"Amazing..."

Jobe Vanderbilt, watching this from his own garage, could only lay back on his chair with pure disbelief. He couldn’t believe what he had seen!

"So sentience isn’t just limited to weapons... even vehicles like this could be considered as a partner!"

And at this point, he couldn’t help but think that the Reborn company was somehow blessed by the Goddess herself.

After all, how would one explain why they were so lucky?!

First, they were able to discover how to build an automobile and their other innovative products. Then, they were also able to make a demi-human into a Maugnetic as well! And now, they had created an entirely new category of a ’weapon’.

It was truly one-of-a-kind.

"Is this why my father thinks so highly of the Reborn company?" Jobe asked himself.

Now, he had lost the bet with Yze. he lost the race, meaning that he wouldn’t get the 1st ranked heir title from his brother.

And in this regard, Jobe was less annoyed and more interested. What made the Reborn company so successful? Was it all because of that young leader of theirs, or was it something else? He had to know.

Jobe looked towards the VIP area where Michael sat in and got ready to approach him.

But suddenly, something caught his attention. On the corner of his eyes, he saw an anomaly.

A flash of something fast. And then, an explosion.

This explosion sent a large plume of fire billowing out into the air, almost consuming everything into a fiery red environment.

This explosion was so powerful that it should have actually killed a fourth of the spectators watching closely from the point of detonation.

However, a golden aura manifested at the very last second, preventing the explosion from affecting the innocent bystanders in the bleachers.

But despite that, the explosion had already done its ’damage’. The spectators began to panic and scream and shout.

One must take into account that these people were royals. They were dukes and viscounts and barons with very powerful families and influential estates. If anything happened to them, then it would become total chaos for the entire Royal Continent.

Immediately, bodyguards manifested from the shadows, protecting the royals. They began directing their bosses to stay calm. Their cultivators then began to manifest a protective shield around them, or even a teleportation Aubility Power to take them out of this situation.

However, it was at this point that hooded figures appeared from out of nowhere and disrupted these bodyguards.

"Ersatz?!"

This kind of scenario happened everywhere. More explosions detonated all over the racing track, causing further destruction and chaos everywhere.

Jobe looked around and realized that it was the cars that were the cause of the explosion.

That first explosion came from a car detonating out of nowhere! And as more cars became totalled, more of their fuel leaked onto the racing track. It only took a single spark for those fuel lines to be engulfed in an even greater fire.

From an outsider’s perspective, it seemed that everything was in great chaos!

Michael stood up and looked at the state of the entire racing track.

"Narito. Sasuki. They’ve made their move. Execute our plans!" he told them.

Immediately, the two Shadow Orcs nodded and disappeared into the depths of the shadows.

Meanwhile, Michael floated up and observed everything using his own perception.

The fire, the explosions, and of course, the ’Ersatz’ that was causing terror throughout the racing track.

Those weren’t real Ersatz assassins. They were merely pretending to be one. But in truth, they were actually sent by Worcester Oscorpe as a way to cause destruction in the Racing Track and pin all of the blame on Reborn.

Their plans were obvious. They caused those accidents and were going to blame everything on the flammable fuel that they used.

And in doing so, they would discredit everything Reborn had done. And their welcoming ceremony in the Elite Society would end up in a tragedy that people would never forget.

But Michael was one step ahead of them.
