Chapter 1443: Neo Orcus

Chapter 1443: Neo Orcus

Both the 7th and 6th ranked general of the Worcester company frowned as they saw two shadows emerge from the ground right in front of them.

"Orcs? I have heard that they frequent this place," said the 7th ranked general.

"That’s not an Orc. That one’s a Orcanine and the other one is an Orcupine. You can distinguish them by their spines," replied the 6th ranked general.

"That’s the same thing!"

"No it’s not!"

BU TO TO!

RAH TA TA!

The sudden beating of drums echoed throughout Neo Orcus town. Everywhere, this blood-pumping type of beat was encompassing every single citizen and every single person in town.

They all looked up, and felt at east at the appearance of the Shadow Orcs.

"They have come to save us!"

"We are saved!"

"Destroy these invaders! Please!"

Hearing these words, both of the generals clicked their tongues. They may argue a lot, but when it came to their own company, they had the same thought. No one was better than the Worcester company.

It was at this point that they pointed their hands towards Neo Orcus. It was a subtle sign that was immediately picked up on by the thousands of Worcester soldiers waiting by the forest.

Immediately, they charged and surrounded the entirety of the Neo Orcus Town.

This place didn’t have a very tall wall, making an invasion very easy. It wasn’t long before the soldiers stepped foot onto the town, ready to ravage it down to ashes.

Soldiers screamed as they charged forwards. But as soon as they did, they suddenly found themselves alone.

They looked around. And they were alone. Just one soldier in an empty town.

They lost all of their momentum as they stopped in place, not understanding what was happening.

Unbeknownst to this soldier, under his feet, a shadow had attached itself. The shadow’s tendrils then weaved through upwards through the soldier’s body, before wrapping around his neck and squeezing it tight.

It wasn’t long before a resounding snap echoed out in this ghost town.

This was the territory of the Shadow Orcs! The Worcester soldiers had willingly stepped foot into their domain. What did they think was going to happen?

The lack of walls didn’t mean that Neo Orcus was easy and vulnerable. In fact, they made it seem that way on purpose. That was because they knew that at all times, Shadow Orcs were positioned here to protect it from any invasions.

Meanwhile, in the real world, the 7th and 6th ranked general looked down at their soldiers and frowned.

Their warriors were stopping inexplicably. Then, they would look around, confused, before their necks would snap.

It happened to every single soldier in their army.

"What the hell is happening?!"

"Those shadows... they’ve been waiting in the crevices this whole time."

Immediately, they exploded in power, using their Nascent Armor and their Influence to try and get rid of the shadows infesting their soldiers.

But it was at this moment that the two Shadow Orc Chieftains appeared, shielding the shadows from the attack.

"Tsk," the 7th ranked general clicked his tongue. "They’re merely 9th stage Body Formation cultivators."

"Let’s get rid of them now before they annoy me any further," replied the 6th ranked general.

"That’s what I said!"

But the Shadow Orc Chieftains looked at the Nascent Spirit cultivators and smiled. It might have looked like they had no chance of winning, but even in this state, they knew that they were going to win.

It was only natural! In fact, they had been waiting for a battle such as this. With such a large discrepancy in their cultivation levels, the Shadow Orcs were sure that this battle would lead them to finally advance into the next level!

"Hey," Narito said to Sasuki. "Truce?"

"Hahaha," laughed Sasuki. "Just this one time."

...

Angora City. One of the largest towns here in the Lower Queens region. It was also one of the nexus points of the Rebornian path.

This was where most of their products were delivered to. This was the hub where the majority of commerce flowed, making it one of the most important places in the Rebornian Territory.

At this moment, a tsunami of soldiers surrounded it from all sides. They were trying to scale its high walls, using ladders and their Aubility Power to finally siege the city.

Watching above were the 5th and 4th ranked generals of the Worcester company.

Both of them were women, but their Nascent Armors and weapons looked like they were meant for a burly man.

Their power bore down on Angora City like a meteor. It made them all cower in fear. The Nascent Influence that they were emitting was a palpable sensation, like that of gravity but increased at least ten times more than normal.

"It’s such a shame. Look at all those automobiles... They look so good. Are you sure we can’t take one for ourselves?" the 5th ranked general asked, pouting.

"Our leader told us to destroy everything. But... perhaps if this city was missing one or two automobiles, it won’t matter," replied the 4th ranked general.

"Yosha! Then we’ll just destroy everything and leave a few for us to take!"

Both of these Nascent Spirit cultivators sent down an attack, destroying the gates of Angora City, finally allowing the soldiers to enter the city.

Standing in front of them was a woman. She had a prim posture, holding a stack of paperwork on her hands.

Anyone who looked at her would immediately think that she was a secretary.

"We do not permit you to enter Angora City," Sheina said.

"We don’t need no permits!" shouted one of the soldiers. "We’ll take what we want!"

Sheina pursed her lips. "If that is so, then I am sorry. Your lives will be forfeit."

Suddenly, Sheina’s entire body turned into light before she disappeared from everybody’s sight.

"Where did she go?!"

While the soldiers were looking around, the skies suddenly darkened. They all looked up, seeing a rain of arrows shooting down on them form the skies.
