Chapter 1455: Hidden shadow

The 5th and 4th ranked Nascent Spirit generals from the Worcester company were dead.

One was bisected long before he even thought something happened to him. While one was pierced in the chest from an arrow that followed him through different dimensions.

Jaku and Sheina stood atop Angora city, overlooking the destruction and chaos that the Worcester company had done to their beloved territory.

But walls could be rebuilt. Buildings could be reconstructed. People could recreate their homes.

However, Zion... their sibling....

They didn’t even want to think about it.

Their own bodies were now filled with otherworldly power. Now that they had transcended to the Nascent Spirit realm, they possessed untold power.

The Armors around their bodies were twice as strong as Nascent Spirit armors. It was made out of Influence, and also, Dragon scales from their Dragon Divas.

But somehow, even that powerful defensive capabilities, they could not stop the hurt coming to their hearts. Zion was dead. And there was nothing they could do about that.

Meanwhile, in Batchrock Town, the entire town was engulfed in a black sphere of darkness.

No one could see beyond it.

And if someone were able to see through it, then they would see a completely different scene than that of the other Rebornian territories invaded today.

Instead of the Batchrock Town natives screaming and fleeing for their lives, the Worcester soldiers were the ones who were trying to leave as soon as possible.

They banged their hands and their heads towards the black sphere containing the entire town, hoping to escape. But even the sharpest blades could not cut through it. They were stuck here for good.

All around them, the people of the Batchrock Town were praying. They were kneeling and looking towards the Iron Maiden, making the scene all the more eerie.

Meanwhile, the 9th and 8th Nascent Spirit generals were being beaten, bloodied, and bruised. They crashed through the streets of Batchrock Town, looking up at the violet slime atop the Iron Maiden with fear in their hearts.

After all, all around this slime were powerful cultivators. Perhaps, one couldn’t even call them cultivators. They were from the Ersatz Organization, after all.

Ten individuals. Ten Nascent Spirit cultivators.

Somehow, the slime was able to control these powerful Nascent Spirit Ersatz assassins! Worcester was right. The Reborn company was evil! How could they side with the Ersatz Organization?!

"Hehehehehe... These people are reformed!" said Fudge, as if hearing their thoughts. "They’re not evil. If they were, you both would have been dead long ago!"

The 9th and 8th ranked generals spat out blood from their mouths. They knew that they wouldn’t be able to defeat these Ersatz assassins. They were outnumbered, even if they were physically much stronger than any of them.

So, they only had one choice. They could only kill that little violet slime.

He was the source of the dark sphere that encompassed the entire territory. Kill him, and this would all subside. And they would be able to escape.

And so, without talking to each other, the 9th and 8th ranked generals both immediately lunged towards Fudge.

Their coordination was impeccable. They were able to move at the same speed as each other. And with their movements, they were able to cover most of the violet slime’s escape paths.

He wouldn’t be able to get away.

Both of them summoned their knives. Their Nascent Armors then immediately dissolved from their bodies.

And those motes of light, those individual strands of Aubility Power, they were now being pulled into the knives in their hands.

It was basically a gambit. They were going to put all of their strength into assassinating the violet slime, forgoing any of their defenses to do so.

Because of that, their knives reached a speed that surpassed that of reality. The Nascent Spirit Ersatz assassins couldn’t even see it. They couldn’t even react to it.

They could only watch as the two knives skewered the violet slime.

"Ha!" the 9th and 8th ranked generals both grunted with triumph as their knives reached their target.

They looked towards Fudge, and saw that the monster was not moving at all.

Were they successful in their assassination?

Then, they saw ’X’ marks on the slime’s eyes, along with a tongue hanging out from the side of his mouth.

It was a very exaggerated way to show that Fudge had ’died’.

"Hehehe just kidding!"

Both of the Nascent Spirit generals looks at their own knives and saw that they were melting inside the slime’s insides!

The blades were bubbling! Fudge’s slime body were turning these Mithril Artifact weapons into mere dessicated husks of themselves!

They immediately tried to pull out their knives. After all, these Knives were connected to their own powers. They were filled with their Aubility Powers! That’s where they put their Armors into.

But now, it was being destroyed. It was being dissipated.

However, even as they pulled with all of their strengths, they found that they couldn’t take it out completely!

"WHAT?!"

They found this to be impossible. After all, they were Nascent Spirit cultivators. Their physical strengths should be able to surpass any kind of mortal force here in the world.

Then, it was at this point that both of them looked in horror at the violet slime.

"Hehehe, realize it now?"

Fudge’s entire body glowed dark as he unleashed his true power. Aubility Power emanated out of his completely, revealing his Nascent Influence and his Nascent Armor at the same time.

His armor was simply a black hood, making him more similar to the ninja that he had aspired to be greatly.

"A... monster... becoming Nascent..."

And the last thing that they saw in their lives was the image of Fudge growing larger in their eyes, before his mouth opened and he devoured them both.

Just like that, the threats in Batchrock Town was done.

The Worcester soldiers had all passed out, having experienced the full brunt of Fudge’s Nascent Influence
