Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family

Chapter 1469: Proof

Chapter 1469: Proof

Michael looked around him. The very cages that he was imprisoned in was made out of some kind of solid prismatic material that was very hot to the touch.

"Ha!" Lucy laughed. "You won’t be able to get out of that cage soon. You can try, but you’ll find your fingers disintegrating the moment you even touch it for a brief second.

This is the power of the Guild of Arcana! We have access to power from the Ancient Era that people think has already been extinct! And you dared to fight against us? You dared to take us down with that scandalous report?!"

It was at this point that Michael looked up at Lucy and the rest of the Mystic Masters.

"I came here to prove myself. We made a contract."

Lucy nodded. "Ah, yes. The contract. Unfortunately for you, you didn’t read the fine details on the contract correctly. There was nothing in here that stated that we had to test our magic against each other right now. We could do it tomorrow, a week from now, a year, or a decade, or maybe even a millennium from now!"

Their goal was clear. They were going to imprison him here for as long as they could.

"You can’t keep me here. People will start to wonder where I’ve gone," Michael said.

Meanwhile, as he said that, ChatJK6 was using all of her mental faculties to analyze everything around her.

She was trying to understand the Unity Cage that he was in, as well as the bright sun of the Guild of Arcana where he was trapped in.

He just needed more time, that was why he was distracting the Mystic Masters by pretending that he was flustered by this situation.

"People will wonder where you’ve gone, but they won’t know where. Nobody will be able to enter into the Guild of Arcana without us guiding them here," one of the Mystic Masters said.

Michael first tested their hypothesis.

Deep down in his own psyche, he communicated with his Unity Clones. "Alpha, Bravo, can you hear me?"

"Loud and clear, boss."

"At your service."

He even tried to communicate to the Dragonborns, and they were easily able to speak to him as well.

"Are you alright, Lord Michael? Shall we send an army to you?" Sheina asked.

"No, I’m fine," he replied. "But be on standby. Can you locate me with the help of the Unity Clones?"

There was a slight bit of pause for a few seconds, before Alpha and Sheina both talked to him in his mind.

"I was able to locate your presence thanks to Ms. Sheina’s near omniscient eyesight," said Alpha.

"She gives me too much credit. Alpha is powerful all on her own."

"Uhh, guys? Life or death here. Save the compliments to each other another time," Michael said.

"Would you like me to switch places with you?" said Alpha.

One of the powers of a Unity Clone was that they could switch places with him at any time. This could have been the best time to do it, but Michael was far too busy absorbing every single detail here in the Guild of Arcana to want to go.

"No thanks. But there is one thing that I would like you to do. Please send a message to..."

Soon after that, Lucy looked down at him with a lot of contempt in his eyes. "You could have just lived a simple life! Instead, you had to attack me! Now, you know the difference between us!"

Michael looked up at him. "Do I? I seem to recall we have yet to face each other in a clean fight. How will we know who’s better?

From my perspective, it seems to me that you’re afraid of me, that’s why you’re trying to keep me imprisoned."

Lucy’s face turned beet red at Michael’s provocation. He looked real pissed, but he was able to keep his composure.

"That will not work," Lucy said. "You are going to rot in that cage for so long that kingdoms will fall. Your own nation will be turned to dust before you’re able to see the outside world, which I guess, is going to be pretty soon now that they don’t have their leader."

Michael smiled. "What makes you think I’m just trying to get you to open the cage?"

"Hahaha! You can’t! No one can!"

It was at this point that Michael looked up at him and smirked. "You mean, YOU can’t.

He then walked up to the edge and touched the very prismatic bars that kept him imprisoned.

Lucy and the other Mystic Masters around him were completely shocked once they saw him grab at the prismatic bars without his hands completely disintegrating into cinders.

But he didn’t even end it there.

Michael continued to hold onto the prismatic bars, before he began to pry it open with both hands.

The sounds of metal shearing and bending echoed out around them as they saw the cages open up like it was a simple metal cage.

"What...."

"That’s... that’s not possible..."

"How..."

"Nothing should be immune to Unity..."

The four robed Mystic Masters were stunned and astonished at Michael. There was even a hint of amazement in their eyes.

It was at this point that Lucy’s face had contorted once again beyond that of a normal expression. Jealousy, anger, humiliation. His face was a mix of all of those emotions.

"You.... yOU... YOU!!!!!"

Michael then stepped out of the cage and looked up at them all, triumphant. "I thought you said that no one can do that. Lucy, doesn’t that prove that I am better at magic? Why don’t you step down as a Mystic Master now and save yourself the trouble?"

Hearing this, all of the blood in Lucy’s face drained. For a second, he was afraid that the contract would appear and that he would lose.

But thankfully for him, nothing happened.

"Ha! That proves nothing! It only proves that you have some tricks up your sleeve..."

Lucy’s words started to falter as he stared at something in the distance.
