Reborn As The Minor Villain In A Romance Fantasy Novel

Chapter 247: Ancient Lovers

Chapter 247: Ancient Lovers

"Aaaannddddd this is Moon Hotel~" Selene exclaimed as they reached a hotel that towered high in the air, her voice filled with pride and excitement.

The building stretched upward like a spear piercing the clouds, its glass exterior reflecting the afternoon sun in dazzling patterns.

Each floor seemed to glow with an inner light, and the architecture was a perfect blend of modern elegance and mystical aesthetics.

"Number 5... The others are housing pretty important people so I couldn’t kick them out because apparently it would ruin my business’s reputation." She added with a small pout, as if the very concept of business reputation was a minor inconvenience she had to tolerate.

They were currently standing outside the Limousine, which had just pulled up to the circular driveway, and staring up at the magnificent structure as she raised her hands high in presentation like a game show host revealing the grand prize.

"This is a very nice place..." Lucius stroked his beardless chin thoughtfully, already calculating possibilities in his mind. "Maybe I should threaten the council into building a few hotels for me."

The idea had merit. Real estate was always a solid investment, especially when you could force people to build it for free using political pressure and thinly veiled threats of violence.

He would name them the Lucius Hotels and they would have top-tier luxury equal to or exceeding what Selene had accomplished here.

You could enter whether you were a common person or a person with a high position... at the end of the day, it was all about if you had enough money to burn.

It was the democracy of wealth, he supposed.

’I think I’ll do that...’ he decided firmly. Maybe he’d start with one in the capital and expand from there.

"I saw several reviews online." Vanessa said as she brought out her phone, scrolling through what looked like a review aggregator site.

Her eyes scanned the screen quickly, speed-reading through customer testimonials. "It’s one of the few hotels with zero to no complaints in the whole city."

That was actually impressive.

Getting a perfect rating required either extraordinary service or extraordinary intimidation of reviewers.

Selene’s face lit up at the compliment, and she looked at Vanessa with genuine delight.

Her cheeks turned pink as she closed the distance between them and rubbed her cheek against Vanessa’s cheek like a cat seeking affection.

Immediately Vanessa’s face grew red, her composed demeanor cracking as she froze in place.

"You’re so nice~ Sister wife Vanessa~ I hope to become a model wife like you..." Selene cooed, nuzzling closer.

Vanessa turned to Lucius for help, her eyes practically screaming ’save me’ however he just chuckled at her predicament and began walking toward the entrance.

The rest of the girls followed his lead, clearly amused by the scene.

"Uh... thanks." Vanessa said awkwardly, never did she imagine that one of the strongest S-ranks in the world would be doing this to her.

Being affectionately assaulted by the Moon Goddess wasn’t exactly in her daily expectations. "They’re leaving us behind."

Selene pulled back slightly and turned her face to the rest of the group who were already walking toward the entrance, chatting amongst themselves and pointedly not waiting for the two stragglers.

She took hold of Vanessa’s hand gently.

"Let’s join them, but use the side elevator." Selene said mysteriously.

Everyone wondered what she was talking about.

Instead of going to the front door with its grand entrance and marble steps, they went to the side of the building where there was nothing but a plain wall.

She pressed a button on what looked like a decorative panel.

A double door that had been colored and textured to blend seamlessly with the wall opened up with a soft pneumatic hiss, revealing an elevator that was far more luxurious than the standard ones.

Gold trim lined the interior, and the floor was actual marble.

"Influential people use it when they want to reach the top floors without alerting the guests in the reception area." She explained as all of them entered inside, the elevator was spacious enough to accommodate the entire group comfortably. "Keeps things private and avoids awkward encounters with fans or business rivals."

Amber was about to step in, following naturally since she’d been with the group this whole time, but Selene raised a single finger at her like a teacher stopping a misbehaving student.

"No... not you." Selene said sweetly, though her smile didn’t reach her eyes.

"Huh?" Amber asked while looking around in confusion, her eyes darting between the others in the elevator.

She was the President’s daughter which meant she was an influential person by any definition... and since she had come along with them this far, she automatically assumed that Selene had made preparations for all of them.

It was only logical, right?

"You’ll have to pay for a room at the top floor to get there... I only agreed for my husband and sister wives, not you." Selene said matter-of-factly, her tone suggesting this was perfectly reasonable.

And as if to mock her, the entrance of the elevator closed directly in her face with perfect timing.

Amber’s face twitched violently, her eye spasming as the reality of the situation hit her.

She grabbed her hair again on reflex, yanking it out in pure frustration. Strands came loose in her clenched fist.

"What the fuc—"

The elevator door opened again suddenly, and all of them saw her in the middle of yanking out her own hair, her face contorted in rage and humiliation.

Selene pressed a button on the wall with an innocent smile, and the door closed up again, leaving Amber standing alone against the wall with her head hanging down in defeat.

"Why does this keep happening to me???!!!" Amber’s scream echoed as the elevator began ascending.

...

The elevator stopped smoothly and they came out, entering the top floor.

Lucius hadn’t seen the lower floors but he was absolutely sure that this was the peak of luxury.

Everything was pristine... polished floors that gleamed like glass, cream-colored walls decorated with subtle gold accents, crystal chandeliers that cast warm light throughout the space, and furniture that looked both comfortable and prohibitively expensive.

There were a few people here though they were all girls and dressed in elegant maid costumes that somehow managed to look both professional and alluring.

Each uniform was perfectly tailored, and their movements were practiced and graceful.

They each gave off mana too, which meant these weren’t regular staff. These were Awakened beings working as maids, probably all E-rank to D-rank on the energy signatures.

"Welcome Milady!" All of them greeted in perfect unison, and also bowed respectfully to Lucius and the rest of the group.

However, from the far end of the room near what looked like a service corridor, a maid suddenly dashed toward them at ridiculous speed.

"Miladyyy!!!" The maid who had bouncing brown hair tied in twin tails dashed toward them at super speed, her arms outstretched like she was going for a tackle-hug.

Selene’s eyes widened and she dodged the maid quickly, sidestepping with practiced ease.

The other girls also scattered instinctively, making the overenthusiastic maid dash straight past all of them and directly into the elevator’s closed doors.

She collided with the metal surface with a loud CLANG and then slid down slowly like a comic character, her body going limp. "Ugh~"

A collective wince went through the group.

"Well, this is the top floor of the Moon Hotel." Selene said, completely ignoring the downed maid as if this was a regular occurrence. "And all of you are free to take any of the rooms in this place. They are all top-tier luxury ensuring that you will relax properly and forget about whatever stress you’ve accumulated."

The girls nodded, already looking around at the various doors lining the hallway with interest.

"I’ll go set up my luggage in my room..." Luna said as she broke away from the group, selecting a door near the east wing.

"I’m going to organize my not-so secret dildo collection~" Emilia announced loudly and cheerfully as she broke away toward the west wing, completely shameless as always.

Lucius wondered briefly why she even traveled with that, but decided he probably didn’t want to know.

Soon all of the girls had broken off to claim their rooms, disappearing through various doors with excited chatter about unpacking and changing.

Their voices faded gradually, leaving Lucius and Selene standing together somehow in the center of the luxurious hallway.

"After you’re done! Wear your bikinis and meet us at the top for some partying!" Selene called out to their retreating backs.

A few thumbs-up appeared from doorways in acknowledgment before the doors closed with soft clicks.

Lucius was about to choose an extra room for himself, scanning the available options, but Selene took his hand firmly before he could move.

"Since they’re gone... I can take you to my room now." Selene said, her voice dropping to something more intimate and sultry.

She picked a very specific room at the end of the hallway, the master suite presumably, and opened the door with a keycard.

The automatic air conditioning kicked in immediately, filling the space with perfectly cooled air that carried a scent of lavender and something else... jasmine, maybe.

She pulled Lucius inside with surprising strength and closed the door behind them, the lock engaging with a decisive click.

The room was magnificent. Floor-to-ceiling windows offered a panoramic view of the city, a massive bed with silk sheets dominated the center, and the décor screamed expensive taste.

But Lucius barely had time to take it in.

"Alright my love..." Selene turned to face him, her eyes glowing with undisguised desire and mischief. "How should I pleasure you first? With my tongue or my breasts...?"

To solidify that she was absolutely serious about the offer, she took hold of her two breasts over her clothes and jiggled them deliberately with her hands.

"Personally I want to use both."

"Huh? We just met each other today..." Lucius said while sitting down on the bed carefully.

He took off the heavy coat he was wearing, folding it neatly and placing it on a nearby chair.

The thing was expensive, custom-tailored, and he wasn’t about to let it get wrinkled or damaged just because Selene was feeling frisky.

"We have to take this slow even if I’m your fated one..."

The words felt reasonable to him.

Sure, the fated one thing added a supernatural element to their connection, but jumping straight into bed with someone you’d literally just met a few hours ago seemed... rushed. Even by his admittedly flexible standards.

"No, we didn’t just meet today." She said, her voice taking on a more serious tone as she sat next to him on the bed.

She placed a hand on his shoulder.

"We were together in the old age... after all, you are a reincarnation of the first space awakened and I am the reincarnation of the first moon awakened."

"Reincarnation?" Lucius asked, his mind immediately racing through everything he knew about the novel’s lore.

There was nothing like that in the story after all. The original Lucius was a simple minor villain who got his powers through a random awakening, used them poorly, and died pathetically.

This was completely new information.

"Yes." She replied while taking off her shirt in one smooth motion, letting the fabric fall to the floor.

Then she turned her back to face him, and Lucius found his attention drawn immediately to what was there.

Apart from the straps of her white lace bra, there was a tattoo on her back that he definitely hadn’t noticed before.

It was the infinity symbol, rendered in what looked like silver ink that seemed to shimmer and shift in the light, the loops perfectly symmetrical and elegant.

"I saw it in my vision... this is the Stigmata that the first Awakener had used to mark his lover, see? It’s on my back." She explained, her voice carrying pride.

Lucius stared at it, processing. "It could be a tattoo, that’s what it looks like."

A perfectly reasonable observation.

Tattoos existed and people got them all the time.

This could just be a really good piece of body art that Selene had gotten done years ago, and she was retroactively assigning mystical significance to it.

She puffed her cheeks out in frustration at his skepticism, looking almost childishly offended.

"You can touch it then... the stigmata only appears when I’m within the zone of my fated one." She said, her tone challenging him to prove her wrong. "If you’re not actually him, it won’t react."

Lucius hesitated for only a moment before reaching out. His finger touched the stigmata gently, expecting to feel smooth skin and ink.

Instead, unlike the regular tattoo texture that would have been slightly raised or textured, this one actually gave off space.

The sensation was unmistakable... that same feeling of boundless distance and infinite potential that he felt when using his own powers.

It was like touching a portal, except the portal was embedded in her skin. The infinity symbol seemed to pulse under his fingertip, responding to his touch with visible ripples of energy.

"Mmh~" Selene let out a sound that was equal parts surprise and pleasure as she pushed her face closer to the bed, her fingers gripping the silk sheets. "It’s really sensitive..."

Her voice had gone breathy, and a pink flush was creeping up her neck.

"Then it is really true." Lucius muttered as he pulled his hand back, studying the mark with new understanding.

’This is nice... I’ll do it to the girls when I get home, with their permission of course.’ He thought.

A permanent mark that proved the connection, that responded to his presence... yes, that had definite appeal.

It did feel nice to mark your woman, to have that visible claim that went beyond words or promises.

Lucius stood up from the bed regardless, taking a step back to put some distance between them. "I still don’t think we should do it until we get to know ourselves a bit more..."

He wanted to at least have a few conversations first, learn about who she was in this life rather than who she apparently was thousands of years ago.

Selene nodded slowly, and while there was obvious disappointment in her expression, she also looked... pleased?

Like his restraint had confirmed something she’d hoped for.

She sighed while stretching her hands above her head, the movement causing her back to arch. "You’re as kind as expected... I feel like—"

Just then the door swung open violently, slamming against the wall with a bang.

A woman stood on the other side, and unlike the regular maids in their elegant uniforms, she wore a whole suit that looked like a Guild uniform.

She wore black tactical pants, a fitted jacket with infinity patches, and combat boots. There was even a gun holstered on her back, what looked like a high-caliber mana rifle designed to take down high powered threats.

The woman’s eyes swept the room, taking in the scene before her.

Lucius was shirtless, his muscular frame on full display while Selene was currently in just her bra with her back exposed, sitting on the bed in what could only be described as a compromising position.

The woman’s face went through several expressions in rapid succession... confusion, shock, rage.

"How dare you do this to my Guild Master?!" The woman shouted, her voice cracking with fury as she immediately unhooked her gun from its holster.

The rifle came up with practiced speed, the barrel swinging toward Lucius as her finger moved toward the trigger.

Her eyes blazed with protective fury, clearly ready to put several holes in whoever she thought was taking advantage of her boss.

Alas, Lucius used space to flick her in the forehead before she could even finish the motion.

It was a simple technique, barely any mana expenditure. Just a tiny spatial distortion compressed to a point and released like a finger flick, except traveling at the speed of thought.

The woman’s eyes rolled back immediately, and she dropped like a puppet with cut strings. The rifle clattered to the floor beside her unconscious body, safety still on thankfully.

"Unfortunately, it’s my vacation so I don’t want any stress." Lucius said calmly then he turned back to Selene, a question forming. "You own a Guild?"

Sure, Selene had appeared in the novel, but he didn’t remember her actually being a registered Guild Leader.

She’d been mentioned as a powerful S-rank, a hotel owner, someone with connections... but leading one of the major guilds? That seemed like something the author would have made a bigger deal about.

"Of course... I own the Diamond Scorpion Guild." She said it casually, like it was common knowledge.

"Huh??"
