Chapter 262: Tsun Tsun
Chapter 262: Tsun Tsun
Matthew looked around as the holograms finally vanished from the air, the last traces of light dissipating completely. He was in complete awe of what he had just witnessed... not only had Luna shown him revolutionary drone designs, but also regular robot designs that could transform their entire product line.
The way she had planned and calculated everything out too, and how elegantly simple the equations were meant that even the average engineering joe could understand what they meant without needing a doctorate.
"I see... so you want a collaboration with my company?" Matthew asked while smiling genuinely now, his earlier hostility completely evaporated.
He could forgive her for taking down his drone sector if she was willing to bring this kind of innovation to the table.
"Yes, if that is okay with you." Luna replied professionally, maintaining her composure despite her internal excitement.
She wanted to have collaboration drones with other trusted companies across the industry, and this was just the first step of her master plan to dominate the market.
"I see... I will come to Aurelia and to your workplace to discuss more about the specifics and iron out the details, but I have to say I am very interested in moving forward with this." Matthew said, then looked around the meeting table at his executives and engineers. "Aren’t we all interested in this opportunity?"
The others immediately nodded with enthusiasm, some even grinning with barely contained excitement.
They were very interested in this collaboration and the possibilities it represented for the company’s future.
"Then it’s final. We’ll explore more into the technical details later and work out the contracts." Matthew said and reclined back in his chair with satisfaction. "Thank you for bringing this opportunity to Bugzy Robots, Miss Keller."
Just then, the door creaked open unexpectedly and Lucius entered while holding a guy by the jacket like he was carrying a grocery bag.
Lilliane was at his side and her fox ears were drooping and her eyes looking teary with guilt.
"Master... I’m sorry for my failure..." Lilliane said, her voice cracking slightly. "It’s my fault for not looking out for you thoroughly enough."
"You don’t need to blame yourself at all, it’s literally your first day on the job." Lucius said reassuringly, reaching out to pat her head between her ears. "These things happen, especially with desperate idiots."
He then casually held the unconscious guy out to Luna like he was presenting a gift. "Yo, Luna. Your brother’s here to visit."
...
Luke slowly blinked his eyes open with confusion clouding his mind, and he realized something immediately that made his heart sink.
He had been completely tied up with professional-grade restraints. His mouth was wrapped by something firm so he could not speak at all, and although he wasn’t blindfolded which was a small mercy, his body was tied in such a way that he would have honestly preferred to be blindfolded instead.
He was in the trunk of a car, probably a limousine based on the space, and there was just a single beam of light hitting his face directly from a small gap.
But no matter how much he struggled against his bonds, he could not move even an inch. He could hear muffled voices behind him which was probably coming from inside the car’s cabin, but once again, he couldn’t move in that direction to try and get their attention.
’I guess this wasn’t the smartest option I could have chosen.’ Luke thought with growing regret and self-recrimination.
He had heard through his intelligence network that Lucius was supposed to be out of the country, and had sent a surveillance mecha to confirm his location first.
When Lucius had used his space manipulation to crush the mecha like it was made of paper, exactly as Luke had predicted he would, it had secretly ejected a tracker that was so minuscule that Lucius would most probably not feel it attach to anything.
However, the tracker had gotten onto the limousine instead of Lucius himself, which was still useful.
For the past two days, he had been carefully tracking and regulating where they drove, studying their patterns before deciding to strike today when they were in a public location.
’I could have literally chosen any other approach other than coming here myself to confront him directly.’ Luke thought bitterly, but he had been too angry to think clearly.
His little sister had chosen to have a boyfriend, and she hadn’t even told him about it... or their parents who deserved to know. Their parents lived in Avalon after all, so she could have easily called or sent a message or something.
Sure, he had deliberately ignored her the last time they met because he was upset about her leaving the family business, but still... she should have at least texted him about something this important.
Just then the car pulled to a stop and he could hear the car doors opening with metallic clicks, followed by footsteps on pavement.
He tried desperately summoning his mechanical suit through the neural link, only to realize with horror that the control band had been pried off his hand and the whole suit had been confiscated as well. He was completely left defenseless and at their mercy.
The trunk of the limousine opened with a hydraulic hiss and he could see from the light that it was mid-afternoon, making him wonder with confusion how long exactly he had been knocked unconscious.
His sister Luna stood over him looking down with concern, making him smile slightly despite the situation, though his expression changed immediately when he saw Lucius standing casually next to her.
"Please be gentle with big brother." Luna said, biting her lip nervously as Lucius reached down and pulled Luke out of the trunk effortlessly, then closed it with his other hand.
He hoisted Luke over his shoulder like he was a sack of potatoes, and from his elevated position Luke could finally see where they actually were.
They were at the beach, with white sand stretching in both directions and the ocean sparkling under the afternoon sun.
"Sure, sure." Lucius said dismissively as his formal clothes suddenly dispelled through some kind of spatial magic and were replaced by beach shorts that appeared on his body, though they weren’t too short or revealing. "You should go join the rest of the girls and change into your swimsuit too."
"Sure thing." Luna said with a small smile, then backed away from them before running off toward the changing facilities, leaving her brother completely alone with Lucius.
Lucius immediately leapt off the parking area where all the cars were stationed, sailing through the air in a graceful arc and landing down on the beach proper, his feet sinking slightly into the sand.
He looked up at the sun beating down and noticed that his skin didn’t feel hot at all despite the direct exposure.
"I guess it’s because I’m an Awakened." He said thoughtfully, then waved his hand and materialized one of the comfortable chairs from the Moon Hotel rooftop directly from his spatial inventory.
He followed it up with a large beach umbrella like the ones usually used at resort beaches. It created perfect shade over the chair and Lucius immediately went ahead to sit down in it comfortably, then casually freed Luke completely from all his restraints with a gesture.
Luke flopped onto the sand like a fish out of water before slowly looking up at Lucius, who in turn looked down at him with mild amusement.
"Take off your outer clothes..." Lucius said as he relaxed deeper into the chair, adjusting his position. "We’re at a beach, not a corporate meeting."
Luke looked at him with confusion and Lucius stared back at him with unwavering eye contact. "I won’t repeat myself again... even if you are technically my brother-in-law now."
Luke flinched at that declaration, then slowly and reluctantly removed his shirt with shaking hands, revealing his upper body that was a bit softer and less defined than he would have liked.
Then he took off his outer trousers as well, revealing shorts he had fortunately worn underneath in preparation.
They would do just fine for the beach.
"Good choice." Lucius said approvingly as he waved his hand at the discarded clothes and they vanished into his inventory. "Now you can properly enjoy the beach day like Luna wants you to, instead of sulking."
Luke rose to his full height, which was still noticeably shorter than Lucius’s imposing frame even when the man was sitting down.
"How can you call my sister your girlfriend..." Luke began, his voice full with emotion. "When you clearly have so many other women around you as well? Doesn’t that bother you at all?"
"I didn’t force her into anything." Lucius said calmly as he materialized a coconut drink in his hand through spatial manipulation.
It was literally a tropical drink served in a halved coconut shell with a colorful straw sticking out of it. "Luna is exactly where she wants to be in life right now."
"My parents haven’t approved of you yet as a suitable partner..." Luke said, trying to find solid ground in this argument. "You don’t even have my blessing to date her."
"I need your blessing to date your sister? Damn, that’s crazy..." Lucius said with genuine amusement as he took a long slurp of the drink with a delighted sigh of satisfaction. "As for your parents, you should drop the location of the family house so I can properly meet them face-to-face."
Luke was genuinely surprised by that response, realizing that Lucius was completely unfazed by any of his objections or concerns. He bit his lip in frustration, trying to find another angle.
"Ask your girlfriend for the address then, since you’re so confident." Luke said, his voice taking on a challenging tone. "You can’t truly call yourself her boyfriend before meeting our parents properly. Especially if you actually have serious intentions to marry her eventually."
He walked forward a bit to face the water, trying to collect his thoughts and calm down.
Lucius stood up smoothly and placed a hand on Luke’s back in what seemed like a friendly gesture, patting him a few times.
However, the force of the "friendly" pats sent the man spinning forward involuntarily and straight into the water with a massive splash that sent water spraying everywhere.
"Tsun tsun..." Lucius teased with a grin as he sat back down in his chair while Luke desperately clawed his way back to the shore, sputtering and coughing up seawater.
It was at that exact moment that the girls finally emerged from the changing rooms that the beach provided for female visitors, having taken their time getting ready.
They wore the same swimsuits that they had worn on the rooftop pool back at the Moon Hotel, but with the natural sun reflecting brilliantly off their skin and the ocean breeze playing with their hair, each woman looked like they were actual goddesses descended from mythology.
All except Amber who had opted for something more modest, and Lucius smiled appreciatively at the sight, though he didn’t particularly like the attention they were getting from the other men scattered across the beach.
But then again, it was a public beach, so he couldn’t exactly complain about people looking unless he wanted to blind civilians.
The girls soon arrived in front of him, posing slightly for his benefit.
"How do we look?" Selene asked as she did a graceful twirl, her silver hair catching the light.
"As beautiful as ever..." Lucius replied with genuine warmth and a smile.
He was particularly interested in seeing the swimsuits of the three newest girls in the group.
The first one was Lilliane, and her swimsuit was noticeably larger in the chest area, especially because of her oversized breasts that strained against the fabric. She immediately moved to stand loyally by his side.
"I’ll be at your side always, Master." Lilliane said as her fox ears twitched adorably and her tail swished.
Next was Elena, and he hadn’t actually seen her in a swimsuit before this moment.
With her blonde hair flowing freely and the swimsuit complementing her athletic figure perfectly, she looked absolutely stunning.
Elena blushed deeply as it was painfully obvious that he was checking her out thoroughly, but she allowed it without protest.
Next was Rita, and contrary to what her modest Saintess robes usually showed and concealed, she was incredibly stacked in all the right ways.
Both breast-wise and ass-wise, she literally had a perfect hourglass figure that would make models jealous.
"You guys look amazing." Lucius said with pink dusting his cheeks, showing genuine appreciation. All the girls blushed respectively at the compliment before they rushed excitedly toward the water together.
"Luna." He called out and she stopped, turning around to face him with curiosity.
"Your brother is here on the beach with us..." He said, gesturing to where Luke was still recovering. "And we need to talk later in private. I want to meet your parents properly."
She blushed bright red at the implications of that statement, then quickly ran off toward the water.
"O-okay..." She stammered out.
Lucius reclined back in his chair and handed his half-finished coconut drink to Lilliane, whose ears immediately twitched in confusion at the gesture.
"Drink it." He confirmed when she hesitated, and she blushed intensely at the realization. That was the same straw he had just been using, which made her heart race uncontrollably.
Did her Master actually want her to drink using the same straw he had used?
’That’s an indirect kiss...’ She thought with her face burning, but regardless of her embarrassment, she did it anyway, taking a sip.
Meanwhile, Lucius focused his attention forward, watching as all the girls were now playing in the water together.
...
Luke stood knee-deep in the ocean water, still catching his breath from being thrown in.
"Come on, brother-in-law~ Get in deeper with us~" Selene called out playfully, and he bit his lip hard in frustration.
He genuinely wasn’t a fan of his sister dating a man who openly had multiple girlfriends simultaneously, but he realistically couldn’t force her to break up with him either.
He took several steps backward on the sand, then began a running start with all the girls cheering for him encouragingly.
He reached the end of the shore and jumped with all his might, and it was actually a very good jump with impressive form.
But he suddenly and inexplicably slipped in mid-air, which shouldn’t even be physically possible, and entered the water with an undignified scream.
He broke through the surface moments later, gasping for air, and immediately suspected Lucius’s involvement.
’That damn guy used his space powers...’
Just then, he felt the water begin to bubble ominously around them, and a giant monster rose dramatically from the sea water not too far away from where they were all swimming.
It looked like a huge blob of living slime with multiple eyes, and everyone on the beach except the girls in Lucius’s group immediately began panicking and screaming, running for the shore.
However, with a single casual flick of his finger from his chair, the slime monster shot backward at incredible speed and disappeared completely from everyone’s line of sight, becoming a speck on the horizon as far as anyone’s eyes could see.
Lucius looked at his finger that he had used to flick it away with compressed space manipulation and sighed with mild annoyance.
"I don’t want anything ruining my vacation time..." He said as Lilliane finished her drink and broke open a new coconut he had materialized for her, and he began drinking the fresh coconut water peacefully.
After that, he stood. "Let’s get this beach day on the run!"
