Reborn As The Minor Villain In A Romance Fantasy Novel

Chapter 263: Beach Activities [I]

Chapter 263: Beach Activities [I]

"Wait... hold on... what kind of beach games can one play?" Lucius asked out loud, genuinely uncertain about the options available to them.

He wasn’t really familiar with beach culture or activities, having only gone once with his mother when he was very young and barely remembered it.

But now, even those faded childhood memories weren’t helping him come up with ideas.

’Back in my time... it was just building sandcastles and playing in the water.’ Lucius thought as he brought out his phone to search for beach activities, then suddenly turned sharply to the right.

"If anyone dares take a video or stream this without permission, then I won’t be happy at all." He said while looking directly at a guy who was clearly recording him with his phone camera pointed in his direction.

The man flinched visibly and then quickly put his phone away in his pocket. "I understand, sorry..."

"Please spread that message around to everyone here. I’m on vacation and want privacy, you can take pictures when I’m doing something cool though." Lucius said firmly, then turned away and approached the shore where the girls were all playing in the water.

Luke was floating there as well, looking at him with barely concealed hatred, which only made Lucius grin even more with amusement. "Come on, girls! Let’s have a sandcastle building contest!"

Immediately all the girls turned to face him with interest lighting up their expressions.

"A sandcastle building contest?" Selene asked while pulling herself back toward the shore, water dripping from her silver hair.

"Yes, exactly." Lucius confirmed as the girls started making their way back to the beach properly and Luna pulled her brother back to the shore as well, dragging him by the arm. "We can split into groups of two and make castles together. The best castle wins a personal gift from me."

The girls immediately looked fired up at that announcement, the competitive energy practically radiating from them, and he smiled with satisfaction at their reactions.

"We’ll split into groups of two for fairness..." He announced, then added before anyone could ask. "And before anyone tries anything, you’re not allowed to use magic or powers, and I’ll be grouping with Luke as my partner."

He used space manipulation to draw Luke toward him, pulling the protesting man across the sand. "Everyone team up now."

Immediately, Selene took hold of Luna’s hand possessively and pulled her to the side, claiming her as a partner before anyone else could.

Amber and Emilia teamed up next with determined nods at each other.

Rita and Elena found themselves paired together and exchanged scowls, clearly not thrilled about the arrangement.

Judea and Vanessa were left standing awkwardly and ended up stuck with each other by process of elimination.

Lilliane went with Villy since they were both maids in service, while Elara joined them as well to make it a trio since she was the maid of Lucius at the end of the day.

"We have about twenty minutes to make something good and impressive." Lucius said, checking the time on his phone. "So take your time and do your best work."

He released Luke from his spatial grip as they both knelt down on the sandy ground together.

"Well, genius..." Lucius said with mild sarcasm. "Let’s get to making a sandcastle worth winning with."

Luke looked up at him with frustration written across his face.

"I am only a genius in the sense of technology and engineering..." He protested weakly. "I haven’t been on a beach before in years, so I don’t really know how to—"

"Excuses, excuses..." Lucius said while shaking his head dismissively. "Let’s just do it and figure it out as we go, unless you want all of them to beat us and make us look bad."

Then he activated his Eyes of Space to analyze the structural integrity and optimal sand composition ratios.

Luke stared at him for a moment, then sighed in resignation. "Fine. But if this collapses, it’s on you."

"It won’t collapse." Lucius said with absolute confidence as he began scooping sand and compacting it with calculated precision. "Start working on the walls. Make them thick and stable."

Luke reluctantly began gathering wet sand from closer to the waterline, muttering under his breath about how ridiculous this entire situation was.

...

Around them, the other teams were already deep into their construction phases, their voices overlapping with strategy discussions and playful arguments.

"No, no, the tower needs to be centered!" Luna was saying to Selene, her engineering mind taking over. "If we offset it like that, the whole structure loses symmetry."

"But it looks more artistic this way." Selene countered, carefully shaping a spire with her fingers.

"Art doesn’t matter if it falls over in five minutes."

Nearby, Emilia was sculpting with intense focus while Amber watched with growing horror.

"Are you seriously...?" Amber whispered, her face reddening completely.

"Commitment to the vision." Emilia replied without looking up, adding another vein detail. "Besides, he’ll know we were thinking about him."

"Everyone will know we were thinking about him! In a very specific way!"

Rita and Elena worked in tense silence on opposite sides of their castle, each trying to outdo the other without directly acknowledging the competition.

Every time Rita added an elegant detail, Elena would immediately try to create something more elaborate on her side.

"Your walls are crooked." Rita finally said.

"Your tower is too short." Elena shot back.

"At least mine doesn’t look like it’s about to tip over."

"At least mine has actual architectural merit."

The three-person team of Lilliane, Villy, and Elara had taken a completely different approach, working with calm coordination and actually communicating effectively.

"Villy, can you pack the foundation tighter?" Elara asked politely.

"On it." The dwarf woman replied, using her small but strong hands to compress the sand with impressive force.

"Lilliane, how’s the moat coming?"

"Almost done, just need to smooth the edges." The fox girl said, her tail swishing with concentration.

...

Fifteen minutes had passed, and Lucius was completely absorbed in the construction, his Eyes of Space allowing him to see stress points and structural weaknesses before they became problems.

Luke had actually gotten into it as well despite his initial reluctance, his engineering background making him surprisingly useful for calculating load distribution.

"If we reinforce this section here..." Luke was saying, pointing at a wall junction. "We can extend the ramparts without risking collapse."

"Good thinking." Lucius admitted, actually impressed. "Add a buttress there for extra support."

They worked in focused silence for another moment before Luke spoke again, his voice quieter.

"You know... Luna talks about you a lot." He said without looking up from his work. "In her messages. She seems happy though I didn’t answer them."

Lucius glanced at him but said nothing, letting him continue.

"I still don’t approve of the whole... multiple girlfriends thing." Luke added, his jaw tightening. "But I can’t deny that she’s happier than I’ve seen her in years. Her business is thriving and she’s confident, and she actually smiles in her photos now."

"She’s incredible at what she does." Lucius said simply, adding another tower to their growing kingdom. "I just gave her the resources to show the world what she was already capable of."

Luke was quiet for a long moment, then nodded slightly. "Just... don’t hurt her. Please."

"I won’t." Lucius said with absolute certainty.

...

Twenty minutes later, Judea ran a hand across her forehead, wiping away the accumulated sweat and sand mixture. Her breasts jiggled with the motion and she let out a small gasp of exhaustion.

"Done..." She announced while looking at the sandcastle that she had built together with Vanessa with a critical eye.

It was a nice one with different colored shells carefully placed that made it look pretty and decorative, and there was even a proper moat dug around the perimeter. "It looks amazing, actually."

Vanessa nodded in agreement, her crimson hair swaying with the movement. "Yes... it’s been a while since I’ve been on a beach like this, but it’s really nice to do something so simple and relaxing."

"We’re done as well!" Selene exclaimed immediately after with obvious pride, and the other girls looked over at what the two of them had made together.

Their sandcastle was impressively tall and structurally sound with a moat as well, but it also had several smaller buildings positioned around the main castle too.

It had a bit of that futuristic sci-fi aesthetic to it that clearly reflected Luna’s influence, and Judea pouted at seeing it.

"They said make a castle, not an entire town..." Judea complained with a huff, and Vanessa agreed with a nod. They were clearly doing way too much and showing off.

"Yours doesn’t look half bad at all." Selene praised generously with a grin, though the competitive edge was still there. "But ours is simply better overall~"

Luna stood beside their creation looking genuinely proud of what they had accomplished together.

"We’re done as well!" Emilia called out loudly, and the two completed teams turned to examine her work. What they saw made several of them freeze in shock.

It was a tall structure standing prominently in the air that looked unmistakably like Lucius’s dick in explicit detail.

No really, it had every vein that Emilia could apparently remember from personal experience, and the balls were sculpted as the entrance gates.

It was an incredibly explicit sandcastle, and there was even a moat dug around it, except instead of water it was filled with white fluid.

It seemed she had actually poured yogurt into the moat, and even the tip of the castle had some yogurt dripping down it suggestively.

"Easily the best castle here~" Emilia declared with a small satisfied smile while the other girls stared at both her and Amber with expressions ranging from shock to disbelief.

Amber was blushing madly too, her face was completely red with embarrassment.

Emilia had announced earlier that she wanted to make a castle in the exact shape of Lucius’s dick, and Amber had somehow agreed to help despite her reservations.

’Is it really this big...?’ Amber wondered, staring at the structure with wide eyes and trying to reconcile the scale with her memories.

"I guess... we’re done too." Elena was the next one to speak up reluctantly.

The castle she had made with Rita was literally two completely different castles merged awkwardly into one unified structure.

Rita had done one side with clear skill and she had done the other, and as much as she absolutely hated to admit it, the Rita half looked far better than anything that she had managed to create.

She glanced over at Emilia’s extremely explicit castle and immediately blushed bright red.

’It’s the exact same size and shape...’ She thought, her face burning as she rubbed her thighs together unconsciously.

Just looking at it made her feel hot and bothered down there.

Rita, on the other hand, raised an eyebrow critically at Emilia’s work, examining it from multiple angles.

’I put it in my mouth before... I could have sworn that it was even bigger and thicker than that.’ She thought but wisely didn’t voice that observation out loud, knowing Elena would probably smack her across the face for such a comment.

"We’re done as well." Elara announced calmly, and everyone turned to look at the work that the three girls had accomplished together.

They had literally created a miniature town complete with multiple buildings, with a proper moat system and a tall central castle that was extremely well designed. It looked like something that would belong in a museum exhibit or architectural display.

Luna immediately tapped the small gauntlet on her wrist and a hologram camera interface materialized, which she used to quickly snap multiple angles of the entire creation from different perspectives.

"It looks genuinely beautiful..." She said with appreciation, zooming in on specific details. "The craftsmanship is incredible. Look at how the walls connect, and the way you’ve layered the towers..."

The others murmured their agreement, genuinely impressed by the quality, making Lilliane, Villy, and Elara blush with pleased embarrassment at the praise.

"Now let’s see what Lucius and Luke made." Selene said, and they all turned in their direction as a group.

Their jaws collectively dropped to the ground in absolute shock.

"What the fuck...?" Luna practically jumped up from where she was sitting on the sand, her eyes going wide.

They weren’t doing a small town or even a modest city... they had constructed an entire functional kingdom in miniature that sprawled across the beach.

There were so many individual buildings carefully crafted with precise detail, and she could even spot what looked like a damn church or cathedral, complete with a bell tower and flying buttresses.

There were even tall defensive walls surrounding the entire complex with guard towers positioned at intervals, and they had gone far beyond what a normal sandcastle would reasonably take.

The construction extended sideways for about the length of three long beach umbrellas placed end to end.

Small details were everywhere once you looked closer. Tiny windows carved into towers, market squares with vendor stalls, even what looked like a functional gate system with a drawbridge over their moat.

"Finally finished." Lucius and Luke said simultaneously as they pulled their hands back and wiped the sweat from their faces with identical gestures of exhaustion.

They stood up slowly and surveyed their massive creation from above, and several beachgoers nearby had stopped what they were doing to take pictures of the impressive structure.

Lucius could allow photography for this achievement, but not the blatant videoing of him just standing around at the beach doing nothing.

"Haaa... it’s pretty obvious that we have the best castle here by far." Lucius said matter-of-factly, and the girls pouted at his confident declaration. "You’ll win next time when I’m not competing..."

He let out a small satisfied smile as he breathed out deeply, feeling genuine pride in what they had created.

Making a whole functional kingdom from nothing but sand without using any magic, even with the analytical help of Eyes of Space, was genuinely exhausting work. He turned off his space vision for just a second to rest his eyes and give them a break.

And in that exact second of vulnerability, a beach ball shot through the air at high speed and landed directly in the middle of their castle, completely squashing the central structure and causing a cascading collapse of surrounding buildings.

The entire group went silent, staring at the destruction in disbelief.

Everybody immediately turned to identify the person who had thrown the ball, and it was apparently a group of teenagers playing beach volleyball with a proper net set up and everything.

The guy who threw it looked somewhat apologetic but was also giving a cocky grin as well, clearly showing he had done it deliberately.

It seemed like he was trying to impress some girls in his group by destroying Lucius’s castle to establish dominance or show off.

’Are there really people as genuinely dumb as this?’ Lucius thought with disbelief at the sheer stupidity of the decision.

Luke’s face had gone red with anger. "That little shit just—"

"Fine then..." Lucius said, his smile taking on a dangerous edge as he interrupted. "Let’s play beach volleyball with them."

The girls moved as one unit, following him as they came forward and approached the group of teenagers who were still playing and laughing among themselves.

"Can we join in?" Lucius asked with his signature model smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes.

The teenager who had thrown the ball smirked. "Sure, old man. Try to keep up."

...

The very next minute, Lucius smashed the volleyball right into the guy’s face with enough precisely controlled force to send him flying backward through the air and into the water with a massive splash that soaked several nearby beachgoers.

The boy hit the surface hard and immediately sank beneath the waves, then resurfaced a moment later, sputtering and coughing up seawater while looking completely dazed and disoriented with a ball mark on his face, making him ugly.

Lucius landed smoothly back on the sand and looked back at his team with a casual shrug, brushing sand off his hands.

"He’ll be alright... I think." He said without much concern in his voice, then turned his attention back to the net. "So who’s serving next?"
