Reborn As The Minor Villain In A Romance Fantasy Novel

Chapter 285: The Art Of Majesticism

Chapter 285: The Art Of Majesticism

"Please be careful at school today…" Selene said as the car pulled up to the parking lot of Starlight Middle School which was the school that Vanessa had managed to enroll her in just yesterday through some connections.

She was going to be taken as a transfer student and Selene only hoped that Freya wouldn't fall behind in her studies at all.

She was wearing a cute white and yellow uniform shirt with a short blue skirt and a backpack on her back filled with school supplies.

She looked more or less like a normal child instead of an awakened anomaly.

"What about you Mama… where are you going?" She asked curiously, the maid driving the car pulled it to a stop at the parking lot and Selene gave Freya a gentle head pat.

Somehow the girl had decided to call all of them mama and it was pretty cute in her voice… it made Selene want to pinch her cute cheeks, however she held herself back from doing so.

"I'm going to check out my new Guild building that the government provided for us, don't worry about me… I'll pick you up at 3pm on the dot." She said with a warm smile. "If I can't take the car for some reason, then I'll just fly here directly."

Lucius had given her a lot of spatial energy with a morning kiss that she couldn't seem to get her mind off of… she would be able to fly just like he could now thanks to his abilities.

"Alright, your class teacher is there too waiting for you. Go meet up with her at the entrance." Selene said and then leaned down and gave Freya a kiss on her forehead affectionately. "Stay safe dear and remember what your papa taught you."

Freya came down from the car carefully and waved them off as the car drove out of the driveway and into the open road once more.

After the car left completely from view, she stopped waving and sighed heavily.

"So this is school, huh?" She turned around and walked toward the building, it seemed the other students were in their classes already as she could hear their voices echoing through the hallways too.

She met the teacher at the steps leading into the big building and it was a curvy woman who had brown hair and a mature face with kind eyes.

She had a motherly look to her… and for Freya, it was unclear whether the woman had children of her own or not.

"Morning ma'am." She gave a small respectful bow and the woman smiled warmly at her.

"You're so respectful and well-mannered… I'm sure your Father taught you well." She said as she reached out her hand kindly. "Come on, let me take you to your class. I'm your Class teacher, Miss Bethany."

"I'm Freya. Freya von Hohenberg, Miss Bethany." Freya said as they walked through the hallway together hand in hand, she drew the attention of several teachers and even other students as they looked at her with curiosity.

'Papa told me to be proud of my name…' She thought to herself, Being a Hohenberg meant that you had power… but at the same time, it meant that you shouldn't bully people below you and that she would attract attention everywhere she went in life. 'I'll make Papa proud of me today.'

It was totally not because he had promised to get her a personal phone if her first day went without issues… besides she was too mature for all of the stress anyway.

They reached the classroom door and there was noise coming from inside the classroom as students chatted.

"I'll go inside first to prepare them." Bethany assured her and then opened the door, the students quieted down immediately and she walked to the front of the class. "Listen everyone… we have a new transfer student coming in today… Please welcome Freya von Hohenberg."

Freya stepped into class confidently, her hair was bouncing a bit as she walked to the front of the class with grace.

All of them were left speechless and she could even see a few people blushing… she was just that cute after all.

'At least that was what papa said yesterday.' She thought with a smile on her face as she bowed politely and introduced herself to everyone.

"Hello everyone, my name is Freya von Hohenberg… I'm new here so I hope to make friends with you all." She said clearly. "However my papa has told me to avoid boys so if you come close to me as a boy… I will hit you in the balls."

She rose her head back up and they gave her weird looks… she had only said what she was going to do honestly, why did some of them look offended by the truth?

Bethany immediately placed both hands on her shoulder gently.

"Alright Freya, why don't you go sit down next to Shiori over there?" She asked, and the shy girl of the 6th grade class perked up before adjusting her glasses nervously.

Freya didn't see anything wrong with it and immediately moved to sit over with Shiori however someone stood up suddenly and grabbed her hand.

"No fair teach!" The boy cried out loudly, he had brown hair and if Lucius was here… he would have recognized the boy as the last son of the Runenforscher household which was Elliot's younger brother.

"My seat is free! Why doesn't she sit next to me instead?!"

Freya's heart pounded wildly in her chest as his hand grabbed hers without permission, he was touching her… which meant that he had romantic intentions with her according to papa.

She bit her lip and her leg moved forward quickly, kicking him right in the crotch with precise aim.

The boy had his breath knocked out of him as he collapsed to the ground holding his pearl jewels while crying out in pain.

There were several shouts of surprise in class and Freya walked over to the seat where Shiori sat calmly, she hung her bag where she was meant to and then smiled at Shiori as she sat down next to her.

"I'm Freya, nice to meet you properly."

Shiori trembled just a bit nervously… before extending her own hand to Freya's and shaking it gently.

"I'm S-Shiori, n-nice to m-meet you t-too."

"Good, with that, you just became my friend." Freya said without giving her room for argument while Shiori's face reddened a bit more.

"F-f-friend…?"

"Yes, friends." Freya confirmed with a nod while Miss Bethany helped the crying boy to the nurse's office.

The rest of the class was staring at her in shock and awe. Some of the girls looked impressed while the boys looked terrified of her.

Once Miss Bethany returned, she clapped her hands to get everyone's attention back to the lesson.

"Alright class, settle down. Today we're starting our Mana Studies unit. Can anyone tell me what the four basic elemental affinities are?"

Several hands shot up eagerly and Bethany pointed to a girl in the front.

"Fire, Water, Earth, and Air!" The girl answered proudly.

"Correct. Now, most of you won't awaken until you're eighteen, but it's important to understand the basics now." Bethany explained as she began writing on the board. "Each person has a natural affinity when they awaken."

Freya listened politely even though she already knew all of this.

"Miss Freya…" Shiori whispered next to her nervously. "Y-you really k-kicked him…"

"He touched me without permission." Freya whispered back. "My papa says boys who touch girls without permission deserve it."

Shiori's face turned red again. "Y-your papa sounds s-scary…"

"He's not scary, he's protective." Freya corrected. "There's a difference."

Miss Bethany continued the lesson, explaining about mana cores and awakening ceremonies and Freya found herself getting bored since she already knew everything being taught.

She glanced at Shiori who was taking notes diligently.

"What do you want to be when you awaken?" Freya whispered.

Shiori looked surprised. "I… I d-don't know yet. M-maybe a healer?"

"That's good. Healers are important." Freya said with a nod. "My Mama Rita is a holy element user."

"Y-you have multiple m-mamas?" Shiori asked, confused.

"Ten of them." Freya said casually.

'Not yet… the sun isn't in the right position yet.' Lucius thought as he was currently on top of the skyscraper looking down at the assembled crowd.

They had turned the backyard into a podium somehow and he was going to be giving a speech to all the gathered members below.

Everyone was there already, including the captains and they were waiting for him patiently…

However to flex his new cut as well as the fit properly, he needed to wait until the sun was at a very perfect angle on the stage that would make him look majestic.

Down on the ground far below, Ayela let out a frustrated sigh.

"Where the hell is he…?" She muttered under her breath in annoyance, there were four captains so they were each standing on the stage and the crowd of people were below them waiting…

He had told them to organize early and now they had been standing here for more than ten or so minutes straight with everybody gathered and there was no sign of him anywhere.

She glanced at Cassie who seemed to be worse off than everyone else… Ayela had originally found her sleeping in the meeting room this morning, for whatever reason, Lucius had told her to show up at 5am when there was no work to do.

She had barely gotten any sleep too and looked exhausted.

Cassie was swaying slightly on her feet, trying to stay awake. There were dark circles under her eyes and she looked like she might pass out at any moment.

'What did he make her do last night?' Ayela wondered, then immediately regretted thinking about it.

Knowing Lucius, it was probably something ridiculous like paperwork or making her reorganize files.

The purple-haired captain leaned over to Ayela. "Is Guild Master sleeping? The members are getting restless."

"How am I supposed to know? It's not like I'm a psychic or whatever." Ayela muttered back.

'Should we call it off?' Ayela thought seriously, the other captains were getting uncomfortable with the wait and the people down there were doing so too.

Some of the guild members were starting to whisper among themselves, probably questioning their new leader's professionalism.

Honestly Ayela wouldn't put it past him to be sleeping at this time of the day instead of preparing.

Suddenly, the sunlight tilted to the perfect angle and she had to look away from the brightness.

However, at that moment, a huge gust of wind overtook the whole backyard… everyone was forced to keep their eyes shut as the wind blew at their hair and clothes powerfully and once it stopped completely, they all feasted their eyes on Lucius standing there majestically.

He stood in the center of the stage majestically and he looked absolutely majestic, the way the sun reflected off his clothes and even his wonderful locks perfectly, he looked heavenly like a god amongst humans.

The crowd went silent in awe. This was Lucius von Hohenberg, the most popular awakened on the planet and his dreadlocks looked absolutely perfect in the sunlight.

Several people in the crowd pulled out their phones to take pictures. This was the first time their new Guild Leader was addressing them, and they wanted to document it.

Ayela had to admit, even she was impressed by the entrance. The timing, the wind, the sunlight… everything was calculated perfectly for maximum impact.

'Show off.' She thought, but she was smiling despite being annoyed moments before.

"Good morning Supreme Guild." He said with a confident smile. "It is I, your new Guild Leader… Lucius von Hohenberg."

The crowd erupted into cheers immediately at his name before quieting down.

"I'm going to be direct with you all. The Supreme Guild has fallen from grace significantly. We were Top 3 in the rankings. Now we're barely holding on at Top 8, and Grimmaw as well as other Guilds are breathing down our necks ready to surpass us…"

He paused and everyone let out a collective breath as the weight of his words sank in.

"Our reputation is damaged in the public eye. The public questions our competence after recent events. Our mission completion rate has dropped dramatically. And why? Because the previous leadership cared more about merchandise sales than actual results and dungeon clearing."

He really hated Supreme Man for what he'd done to this Guild… but then again, it was even the council's fault for promoting this Tom-foolery in the first place, and now he was meant to clean up after their own mistakes.

"That ends today… Under my leadership, the Supreme Guild will not just recover, we will dominate! We will reclaim our position in the Top 5. Then Top 3. And we won't stop climbing until we're the best Guild in existence."

There were small cheers and he waited for them to finish first before continuing with his speech.

"But I won't sugarcoat this to you. The road ahead demands everything from you. More missions every week. More dungeon raids every month. Higher difficulty gates to challenge yourselves with. I expect excellence from every single member of this Guild regardless of rank… However, hard work deserves fair compensation. I've already increased captain salaries significantly. Guild member benefits and bonus structures are being revised as we speak. Clear a difficult dungeon? You'll be rewarded properly for your efforts. Complete dangerous missions? Your efforts will be recognized financially and you could even become the fifth Captain if you prove yourself."

This drew gasps from all over the crowd and even behind him from the captains… there was a new Captain slot open for advancement?

"I'll be leading from the front lines. The hardest dungeons, the most dangerous gates - I'll be there with you fighting alongside you. Your Guild Leader won't be sitting in an office signing autographs while you risk your lives for this Guild… Mission assignments are posted in the Mission Hall, dungeon raid teams are being finalized by the captains and training schedules have been updated. Report to your assigned captains and let's get to work quickly."

He let his voice carry across the thousand people.

"We're going to make the Supreme Guild a name that commands respect again… not fear… not pity but Respect!"

He finished the speech and the cheers of a thousand voices began immediately, all of them cheered for him as they began entering the building and flooding the Mission center enthusiastically.

Supreme Guild was officially back in business under new leadership.

"Guild Leader, I think your hair looks amazing." The purple haired captain commented as they reached the meeting room, he was going to draft out the new membership benefits document… he would only make them sound more lucrative but they were only going to increase by a bit in reality.

"Master, I think so too." Cassie pitched in as she took her seat with a respectful bow and everyone looked at her, she got shy from the attention and Lucius smiled at her kindly.

"Thank you all for the compliments… now let's get started with-"

His phone rang suddenly, interrupting the meeting. It was Luna calling and he picked it up immediately.

"Yes, Doughnut." He teased playfully and he could visibly hear her puff her cheeks from the other side of the line.

"You know I don't like doughnuts Lucius… anyway, Freya's new teacher called in just now with a report."

"Oh? Did my little bundle of sunshine do anything bad on her first day?" He asked with concern.

"She kicked some boy in the balls for touching her hand…" Luna reported. "And he was the youngest son of the Runenforscher Household apparently."

Lucius didn't say anything in response… and the silence was so strange that Luna had to speak again.

"Honey? Are you there?"

"HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!" Lucius laughed loudly, shocking the other captains in the room. "Yes! That's my girl! I'll buy her anything she wants today as a reward."

"You're setting a bad example for her…" Luna said with a tired sigh.

"It's a Runenforscher, they deserve to have their balls kicked hard." He said while laughing even more, just on the first day of school… His daughter had managed to fill his day with joy.
