Chapter 1829: Chapter 1823: Sending Toys

"Alright, I was being nosy." Beiying closed her mouth. She knew what Qin Xue was thinking, so why did she say it out loud? Maybe she was the foolish one.

"Yingying, you’ll understand in the future." How could Qin Xue explain matters of the heart to her? If you haven’t experienced it, no matter how much outsiders say, it’s just like listening to a story. How can you truly feel it?

"Okay." Beiying didn’t say anything more, instead, she massaged Qin Xue’s acupuncture points. She only stopped when Qin Xue’s legs were no longer numb.

"Yu Chen, come to godmother. We’re getting ready to get off. Say thank you to Auntie and the little brother." Beiying reached out to hold Yu Chen. He had been playing with the boy named Nannan for so long and still wasn’t tired of it.

But since they had to get off soon, she couldn’t let him keep playing. They needed to pack up the toys.

"Godmother, can I give this set of building blocks to the little brother?" Yu Chen had learned while chatting with Nannan that this little brother didn’t have any toys.

"Are you willing to give it to him?" Beiying looked at Yu Chen as he packed up the toys.

"Is it okay if I’m willing?" Yu Chen pondered for a long time after hearing Beiying’s words before speaking.

"Yes." Beiying nodded.

"Mom, is what godmother said true?" Yu Chen looked at his mother.

"Yes, it’s your toy. You can decide for yourself." Qin Xue had made sure they all had one each, so Yu Chen could make his own decision.

"Okay, thank you, mom and godmother." After packing the building blocks one by one, Yu Chen smiled and thanked Qin Xue and Beiying.

"It’s good to make your own decisions; no need to thank us." Qin Xue thought it was fine to let the child decide on such a small matter.

"Little brother, my mom gave me this set of building blocks and now I’m giving it to you. I hope you’ll take good care of it." Yu Chen placed his box of building blocks in Nannan’s hands.

"No, you should take it back to play." Although Nannan wanted it, he couldn’t accept something for nothing.

"Take it, you said you didn’t have toys, right? Let this be your first toy, and let it keep you company." Yu Chen’s childlike voice made Qin Xue and the others smile contentedly, but it nearly brought Dongfang Li to tears.

As a mother, she felt she had failed. She wasn’t even as considerate as a child over a year old. She felt she was too derelict in her duties.

"Mom." Nannan looked at Yu Chen with difficulty, then turned his head towards his mother.

"Do you want it?" Dongfang Li looked at her son.

"If you want it, take it. Thank the little brother and the aunties." Dongfang Li saw her son nod and agreed.

"Thank you, Yu Chen, and thank you, aunties." Nannan reached out and accepted it, sincerely thanking Yu Chen and Qin Xue.

"No need to thank us, just as long as you don’t mind that it was played with by my child." Qin Xue shook her head. It was an old toy, and she felt a little embarrassed at being thanked so earnestly for it.

"I don’t mind." Before his mother could speak, Nannan said. He never had toys before, so there was no concept of new or old.

"Alright then, we’re about to get off. Be careful, and hopefully, we’ll meet again." Qin Xue stood up and took out the luggage, placing it to the side. The train was already decelerating, and they had reached their stop.

"Okay, until we meet again." Dongfang Li nodded. She had met some good people on this journey, and she hoped the rest of the journey would be just as smooth.
