Chapter 1830: Chapter 1824: Are You Afraid?
"Yu Ze, come to Uncle." Thunder came over to hug Yu Ze.
Then Zakeer and the others picked up the children one by one, while the rest carried their bags and headed to the carriage, waiting to get off.
"Have you seen this mother and child?" Qin Xue and the others had just reached the entrance when they saw Ah Qi and his group holding a picture of the Dongfang Li mother and child, asking people getting off the train.
"Qing Zhu, can you hold my bag for a moment? I’ll be right back." Qin Xue handed her bag to Qing Zhu and returned to the carriage.
"Dongfang Li, if you don’t want to be taken away by Ah Qi and the others, you’d better not go out this way." Qin Xue finally spotted Dongfang Li and her child in the last group of people preparing to disembark.
"What do you mean?" Dongfang Li looked at Qin Xue, slightly out of breath.
"Ah Qi and the others are holding a picture of you and checking people one by one at that exit. If you don’t want to go back with them, go the other way. You know what the consequences will be. I’ve told you what I know. It’s up to you how to proceed. I’m leaving now; they’re still waiting for me over there." After speaking, Qin Xue left, not caring what Dongfang Li thought or decided to do—it was none of her business.
"Nannan, do you want to go back?" Dongfang Li asked her son. From the beginning, she hadn’t asked if he wanted to leave; she just made the decision to take him away.
"Wherever Mom goes, I go." Nannan was afraid his mom would let Ah Qi take him back, so he quickly answered Dongfang Li’s question.
"Then Nannan, you’ll have to wander with Mom from now on. Are you afraid?" Dongfang Li asked her son. If he said he was afraid, she would let him go find Ah Qi, who would take him back to his father.
With his father, he wouldn’t suffer and would have a good life waiting for him. But following her, he would only endure a life of hardship.
She only took a small amount of money; she didn’t take anything from that man, including money.
So if the child followed her, he’d truly only face tough days ahead. There was still time to reconsider—once they truly left with her, there would be no turning back.
"I’m not afraid, Mom. Let’s listen to Auntie and go around the back, get off at another carriage." Nannan looked at the crowded carriage; they needed to go further back so Ah Qi and his group wouldn’t see them.
"Alright, Mom will listen to Nannan." Dongfang Li carried her meager luggage and led her son towards the back.
The people in the carriage looked at them in surprise, not understanding why they headed in the opposite direction when it was time to disembark. But everyone was just waiting to get off, so no one bothered them.
"You actually drew a portrait." Qing Teng looked at Ah Qi and his group at the carriage exit, surprised at how similar it was.
"Thanks to the girl for the reminder. Are you getting off here?" Ah Qi was surprised to see Qing Teng and her group, thankful for the reminder.
"Yes, take your time. We’re leaving now." Qing Teng’s group had a lot of people.
"Alright then, until we meet again." Ah Qi said to Qing Teng and her group.
"Let’s not. You guys go ahead." Qing Teng twitched her mouth, hoping not to remember her foolishness on this trip.
"Haha." Ah Qi didn’t expect Qing Teng to reply like that; it was amusing.
"You! Really! Are you trying to attract attention?" Qin Xue looked at Qing Teng’s confused appearance, wondering if she realized that men easily became interested in such distinctive women.
