Chapter 1920: Chapter 1914: Daring to Innovate
Qin Xue didn’t really think that women couldn’t live better lives; rather, she felt that no matter what happened, as long as it didn’t touch her bottom line, everything could be negotiated. But the moment it did, that’s when women are truly tested, because the dual mental blow is no small matter.
"Hmm, I know." Qing Zhu and Dongfang Li said in unison. After speaking, they exchanged glances, both surprised at how significant Qin Xue’s words were to them.
Qing Zhu didn’t want to get married but didn’t object to the child recognizing the father, while Dongfang Li directly left with the child without saying a word, leaving half the child’s world missing.
So when Qin Xue said that parents each hold half of the child, it struck a chord with both of them, making them wonder if there might be a chance to adjust their mental outlook.
It has to be said that Qin Xue subtly influenced the thoughts of the two, which paved the way for greater convenience for certain future disputes between them.
"Okay, I won’t chat with you anymore. I need to go check on those kids, you continue with what you’re doing. Once you’ve rested up, I’ll start giving you tasks to do, and then there won’t be any time to rest!" Qin Xue reminded them.
"Okay, take care." Qing Zhu nodded in agreement; there wasn’t much to do here, so Qin Xue could head back.
"Qing Zhu, seriously consider my suggestion, I’m looking forward to your wedding banquet." Qin Xue whispered into Qing Zhu’s ear, making sure Dongfang Li didn’t hear.
"Got it, hurry back. Otherwise, the kids at home will miss you." Qing Zhu was amused by this girl, who never forgot about her, but wondered if she was being too forward.
"Bye-bye." Qin Xue waved her hand.
"Sister-in-law, are you heading back?" Chu Xiaoqiao asked upon seeing Qin Xue coming down.
"Yeah, I’ve been away from home for a long time, not sure if Xue Ling can handle the kids alone." Qin Xue replied directly to her sister-in-law’s question.
"Alright, once I’m done with things at the store, I’ll come over and stay for a few days." Chu Xiaoqiao hadn’t gathered with Qin Xue in a long time and missed it. She had a room prepared at her sister-in-law’s house, so it would be fine to stay over.
"Sure." Qin Xue felt no dissatisfaction with her sister-in-law, so it was okay for her to stay if she wanted to.
"Here, sister-in-law, take this porridge home. I just made it, and it tastes pretty good." Chu Xiaoqiao handed a snack she just made to her sister-in-law. She had seen this on the street and thought about adding something new to the store menu, so she tried making it, and it turned out quite tasty.
"Not bad, Xiaoqiao, you’re getting creative. Well done." Qin Xue didn’t expect her sister-in-law to do this, so she thought it was really impressive.
"It’s basically the same principle," Chu Xiaoqiao said, a bit embarrassed by the compliment. Making pickles was all about the right balance of seasonings, maybe adding alcohol or sugar for taste, so she felt Qin Xue’s praise was a bit exaggerated.
"Even if it’s the same method, you still have to be willing to take the initiative, right? Do you think making a small dish is that simple? No, everyone makes it taste different. If you can make it so that people like it and accept it, that’s quite an achievement. You’ve already succeeded, you know." Qin Xue believed that being willing to innovate was the key to lasting success.
Many businesses and individuals fail because they’re unwilling to think or move forward. That’s why Qin Xue thought Chu Xiaoqiao was truly exceptional.
