Chapter 1922: Chapter 1916 Encounter Again

Cao Rui never thought she would meet Qin Xue again. She always had a strange feeling about this woman. She didn’t want to see her, yet they kept crossing paths. Now, she even had to rely on her for help, which stirred complex emotions within Cao Rui.

"Thank you, Mrs. Chu." Despite her reluctance, Cao Rui knew she had to express gratitude. She couldn’t let the person who had saved her go without a word.

"No need to thank me. I’m a doctor; saving lives is my duty. Since we met, I couldn’t just stand by. I’m simply Chu Molin’s wife." Qin Xue’s voice was calm. She had only met these two women once and was not familiar with them. Even though they addressed her as Mrs. Chu, she really was not acquainted with the Chus and didn’t know the situation. Therefore, she had nothing more to say.

"No matter what, I still have to thank you." Cao Rui looked down at the wound on her stomach where the bleeding had stopped. This woman was truly capable, and she didn’t want to offend her.

"You should stop talking and conserve your strength." Qin Xue observed the pale-faced woman. She had no particular feelings toward her, but the other woman’s gaze gave her an odd feeling. Did she really know her mother?

"Exactly, sister-in-law, you should stop talking and conserve your strength." Liu Fen wasn’t sure if her sister-in-law was still in danger, but seeing Qin Xue’s calm face, she presumed it wasn’t life-threatening; otherwise, this girl wouldn’t be so composed.

"Alright." When Cao Rui heard her sister-in-law saying the same thing, she glanced at Qin Xue and then fell silent.

"Her bleeding has stopped, and the doctor should be arriving soon." Qin Xue put the medicine bottle back into her backpack and spoke calmly.

"Miss, could you come to the hospital with us?" Liu Fen looked at Qin Xue and asked.

"That’s not necessary; the doctors will handle it well." Qin Xue assumed Liu Fen was unsure about her treatment, and her voice became noticeably cooler.

"That’s not what I meant. It’s just that your technique seems excellent, so I want you to assist the doctor in treating my sister-in-law’s wound to make it look less frightening." Liu Fen looked at the somewhat gaping wound. She hadn’t seen how the knife had done it, to cause such an opening.

"But I have other matters to attend to. Rest assured, the doctors will take care of it seriously. They won’t let it get infected." Qin Xue wanted to go home. She missed her sons.

"Please." Seeing her sister-in-law’s expression, Cao Rui, who initially didn’t want to speak, opened her mouth.

"Alright, but I can’t stay for long." Qin Xue left in the morning and still hadn’t returned. She didn’t know how the kids were doing. However, looking at the two women’s eyes, she couldn’t bear to refuse, so she agreed. After all, she was a doctor, and she just had to take things slow.

"Alright, thank you." Liu Fen wanted to take the opportunity to probe some things, so she could only tentatively inquire right now.

"It’s nothing." Qin Xue glanced at her watch and quietly waited with them.

"The doctor is here." In the crowd, someone loudly shouted.

"Finally, it took so long." Qin Xue wondered if there had been a traffic jam. She remembered it had been the same last time, waiting ages for a doctor. It’s better in the future; as long as you have money, you can stay in a good ward and receive proper care. Unlike now, where there are too few doctors and too many patients.
