Chapter 2839: Shook To See Her Little Cuties Bully Master Liang
Chapter 2839: Chapter 2839: Shook To See Her Little Cuties Bully Master Liang
“Our mother begged you countless times to stop forcibly extracting her spiritual power, yet you never listened to her for a single second. So why on earth should we listen to you now?” Xiaoliu remarked coldly, staring down at Master Liang’s battered figure.
Master Liang began silently praying in his mind, desperately wishing that Yu Qi, Long Hui, or Qin Xia would return to this space immediately and drag him away from this terrifying tree monster. At the very least, if he were back in their custody, his poor body would not have to endure another brutal kick.
Unfortunately for him, not a single one of them returned.
“AAAAGHHH!” Master Liang shouted again.
Xiaohua landed another powerful kick right into his midsection.
Master Liang’s body soared high into the open air once more, only for the ancient tree’s branch to coil around him and yank him straight back down to the ground.
“Again! Here it comes!” Xiaohua cheered in pure delight.
“NO! PLEASE! SPARE ME!” Master Liang’s agonising, pathetic screams echoed endlessly across the quiet shores of the lake.
Xiaohua did not show even the slightest sliver of mercy. After all, this was her very first time coming face-to-face with the vile villain who had repeatedly drained her mother’s life force and spiritual power for his own selfish gains. How could she possibly let him off the hook so easily?
Meanwhile, after Yu Qi, Long Hui, and Qin Xia stepped out of Sere, they did not leave the Shenxie Research Centre right away. Instead, they made their way directly into the room from which Master Liang had emerged earlier. It was a completely empty chamber, save for a single heavy table standing in the centre.
However, they could still clearly sense a faint trace of spiritual power lingering thickly in the air inside the room. It was evident that Master Liang had extracted the spiritual energy straight from the ancient tree and processed it right inside this space.
Long Hui also discovered a complex web of array formations inscribed all around the room’s walls and floor. As for their exact purposes, none of them could be entirely sure at first glance. If they truly wished to decipher what those intricate array formations were designed for, they would need to sit down and study them with great care. Unfortunately, they simply did not have the luxury of time for that right now.
Yu Qi pulled out her phone and began taking detailed pictures and high-resolution videos of every single array formation in the room. She was thoroughly intrigued by their design and planned to study them meticulously later when she had a quiet moment to herself.
Having gathered all the visual evidence they needed, they quietly slipped out of the room. Relying on the exact same stealthy route as before, they sneaked straight out of the facility without alerting a single guard or soul.
Once they successfully reached the open air outside, Yu Qi summoned Aoi forth. Aoi materialised instantly and carried them swiftly away from the perimeter of the Shenxie Research Centre. Only after they had travelled a significant distance and arrived at an isolated, completely deserted spot did they finally come to a halt.
Yu Qi briefly re-entered the space of Sere to retrieve Master Liang.
The moment she stepped inside, she was greeted by the sight of Xiaohua gleefully kicking Master Liang high into the sky, only to snag him out of mid-air with one of her thick tree branches.
Yu Qi was left completely rendered speechless by the uniquely agonising way Xiaohua had been tormenting their captive.
“Alright, that’s enough for now.” Yu Qi called out with a sigh.
Master Liang looked like he had just seen an angel when his tear-stained eyes fell upon Yu Qi. He was genuinely terrified that if Yu Qi did not show up this very second, he would end up being literally kicked to death by this cheerful monster of a girl.
Xiaohua immediately caught the airborne Master Liang in mid-flight and lowered him down with surprising gentleness to the ground.
“Did you have enough fun playing with him?” Yu Qi asked with a light smirk.
“Not really, but since Master needs to take him away now, I will be good and stop.” Xiaohua replied dutifully.
Upon hearing those terrifying words, Master Liang suddenly coughed up a spray of blood and fainted dead away on the grass.
“Master! I barely even touched him just now! I only used one per cent of my power. I have no idea why he fainted!” Xiaohua gasped out hastily.
She was genuinely worried that Yu Qi might get upset with her, considering her master had explicitly instructed them earlier that the prisoner had to be kept alive.
“Don’t worry, sweetie. I know it was not your fault.” Yu Qi reassured her gently, reaching out to pat Xiaohua’s head.
Yu Qi knew precisely why Master Liang’s body had given out.
The poor man had undoubtedly passed out from sheer psychological trauma upon realising what Xiaohua meant by ‘not having enough fun yet.’
“I will be taking him outside now. Next time I bring him back, you can play with him all over again.” Yu Qi offered with a sweet smile.
“Really? Great.” Xiaohua smiled sweetly.
Master Liang, who had unfortunately just regained a tiny sliver of consciousness at that exact moment, happened to hear those horrifying words loud and clear.
Pfft—
He promptly fainted all over again.
Yu Qi shook her head in utter amusement and speechlessness. Without further ceremony, she grabbed Master Liang by the collar of his sleeve and exited the space of Sere. The moment she stepped back into the real world, she immediately unceremoniously dropped Master Liang onto the ground.
