Chapter 1019: Stunning Beauty
Chapter 1019: Chapter 1019: Stunning Beauty
Lawyer Liu sighed, "It’s really true that comparing people can lead to despair."
"Isn’t it? I’ve been hit hard."
"That’s not acceptable, it’s too embarrassing. We five have to work hard. We can’t be left in the dust."
Su Yuanyuan didn’t work overtime today, they had already discussed it. She planned to go out for dinner and then visit Yang Chunsheng and the three generations of the Li family.
With Tan Shaoting and Chengzi present, no other bodyguards were arranged.
When they arrived at the restaurant, Qian Zhifeng had already called ahead, so they directly entered a private room.
They definitely wouldn’t eat barbecue, so they opted for hotpot.
Su Yuanyuan felt sorry for the kids being so tired, so she gave them Spiritual Spring Water.
The family ate happily. They heard the commotion outside but didn’t move, until their private room door was pushed open. Two people rushed in, flustered.
One look and it was clear they were family, as they bore a resemblance.
At this point, the restaurant manager quickly ran in. "Sir, I apologize, I apologize, it was my oversight."
The family stared at the manager, making him feel pressured. Just then, several young men rushed in.
They intended to grab the father and son, who struggled vehemently.
Chengzi, with a bad temper, saw this and immediately got angry, kicking one of the guys trying to grab someone.
The father and son escaped. Hearing the manager refer to them as leaders, they realized there must be someone important here.
"Sir, please stand up for us."
Su Yuanyuan understood the situation now. She didn’t expect there to be such brazen people here.
Chengzi, without getting any instruction from the sister-in-law, just watched them, worried they might jostle her.
Su Yuanyuan put down her chopsticks. She looked at the five people trying to confront Chengzi.
"Which unit are you from?"
"What’s it to you? Who do you think you are? Let’s catch them and head back."
Chengzi, upon hearing this, kicked the man who spoke.
The manager felt a headache coming on. He knew very well who was dining there; let’s see how arrogant they could still be.
The other four scrambled out to help the kicked man.
They saw him curled up on the ground, looking pained.
They had never encountered this before. All four charged at Chengzi together.
Handling them was a piece of cake for Chengzi; barely a couple of moves and they were all down.
The manager dared not make any move; although he had a big boss, these troublemakers were too unruly, and would certainly cause future problems for him.
"Chengzi, call Hu Zi, take them away; whoever is found must be apprehended, regardless of who they are. Tell Hu Zi, if he encounters someone he can’t touch, come find me."
Chengzi liked it when his sister-in-law was like this, direct and with no nonsense, ensuring those troublemakers wouldn’t rise again, and that this issue wouldn’t just fade away.
Qi Hong stood up laughing, "Uncle Chengzi, you make the call; I’ll keep an eye on them."
Having spent a few years in the Cultivation World, they developed the habit of taking action.
The manager turned pale, thinking his earlier performance couldn’t have been satisfactory; the leader must be very displeased.
But now wasn’t the time to fret over that, so he hurriedly led the way to make the call.
After receiving the call, Hu Zi told Chengzi he’d arrive in ten minutes.
Qi Hong clasped his arms, watching the five men on the floor, thinking Uncle Chengzi’s strength was insufficient.
Su Yuanyuan frowned, looking at Tan Shaoting; the thinking of Qi Hong, Qi Yan, and Qi Wen was all the same. This wasn’t good at all.
Tan Shaoting smirked slightly; kids are still kids. Though smart, their thoughts were still immature, and they might not have fully adapted yet.
"Just you wait. Do you know who I’m talking about?"
Qi Hong sneered, "Do you even know who you are, let alone ask me?"
Seeing one of them trying to get up, Qi Hong kicked him too. The person groaned, and sweat immediately began beading on his forehead.
Qi Hong’s strength was immense; when he was at the Qi Cultivation Fifth Level, he could kick a First-Rank demon beast to death.
"Mind your strength."
Qi Hong heard his dad’s words and immediately curbed his actions a lot.
Dad told them the two worlds were different.
Chengzi returned. "Go eat; I’ll watch over them here. Hu Zi will be here soon."
Chengzi even shut the door; better not disturb sister-in-law’s meal, which she rarely had in the evenings.
The five of them continued eating. Su Yuanyuan loved the bean curd skin here, finding it even tastier than lamb.
Hu Zi arrived swiftly, literally driving a truck over.
Ten people got out. The five men on the ground and the father-son duo were all forced onto the truck.
"Boss, sister-in-law."
The three kids greeted Hu Zi, all calling him Uncle Hu Zi.
"Increase the intensity of the interrogation, unearth everyone involved; for those beyond your reach, come find me to sign off." Tan Shaoting instructed nonchalantly.
"Yes, boss."
Within five minutes, the place was silent. The manager still felt terrified, hoping the leader wouldn’t mind; otherwise, he was finished.
After dinner, the family left and first headed to Yang Chunsheng’s house.
Yang Chunsheng’s family was having dinner when he opened the door to see Tan Shaoting, ecstatically grabbing his hand, "It’s true, it’s true!"
He was genuinely excited. He knew about Tan Shaoting and the children’s disappearance; everyone thought the father and son were dead, only Yuanyuan believed otherwise. And now, they were back.
"Is this Qi Wen? My goodness, she’s grown so much! Come on in quickly!"
Cai Jianya heard the noise outside and came out too, seeing her husband holding a man’s hand, with Yuanyuan and three kids behind him.
She knew Yuanyuan’s husband and kids had been swept away by a tornado.
Su Yuanyuan cheerfully greeted Cai Jianya.
Yang Zongwei ran out as well, curiously looking at Su Yuanyuan and her group.
He had truly never seen Su Yuanyuan’s family before.
"Sister-in-law, how many months now?"
"Nine months."
"Then the baby is due soon. Is Aunt here?"
Cai Jianya shook her head, "No, during the New Year, I brought Zongwei back. I missed him too much; how useless of me."
Su Yuanyuan nodded in understanding. It was indeed too cruel to separate mother and child.
Yang Chunsheng, still excited, held onto Tan Shaoting’s hand.
"Xiao Tan, thank you for coming back. Thank heavens they all returned."
Once inside, the three children greeted Yang Chunsheng.
Seeing the three of them, Yang Chunsheng wiped his tears. Yuanyuan had such a hard time these years, but they’d finally returned. It truly wasn’t easy.
"Have you eaten?"
Su Yuanyuan smiled, nodding, "We ate before coming over. You eat, no need to worry about us. They came back, seeing you puts you at ease."
"Relieved, relieved. They’re finally back."
