After the confinement period, An Lixia went back. After all, she lived with her son, and her son’s household chores were quite a few.
But she would come over every now and then to have a look and bring some food, so her daughter didn’t have to do it.

The eldest son was tall and skinny, but no matter how estranged they were, he was still her son. She wanted to make something good for the kids.
