Xiao Fei watched his mom leave, and this time she didn’t take him with her. Grandma had already told him yesterday that mom would come back to pick him up tomorrow, so he wasn’t too sad.
Yang Zhiqiang felt a surge of energy in his body, coming home ten minutes earlier than usual.
The two of them felt a bit awkward. "Xiaoqin, take a rest, I’ll start the fire."
"Boil some more water." After all, tonight could be considered their wedding night, everything needed to be clean and tidy.
After three hours, they had tidied up the house, and it was warm inside.
Yang Zhiqiang felt a bit eager; after all, she was now his wife.

If the mother-in-law treated her well, she would reciprocate. Relationships of any kind are mutual.
The two sat on the heated bed eating. Yang Zhiqiang sighed, "Isn’t this what normal life should be like?"
That night, they still spent a passionate wedding night together.
Men are like this; Yang Zhiqiang softly asked Yu Xiuqin how he did.
Unknowingly, they took another step closer emotionally.
The next day, after breakfast, there was a growing affection brewing between the two of them.
With all the necessary documentation ready, they went to the Civil Affairs Bureau. Although they each had families before and both had sons, they hadn’t obtained official certificates before.
So, the procedure was very simple. Yu Xiuqin looked at the marriage certificate in her hand, once again feeling grateful to her mother-in-law. She hadn’t thought about getting the certificate; it was the mother-in-law who requested it when asking for her hand.
"Xiuqin, let’s go buy a photo frame to display the marriage certificate in. We also need to take a photo."
"Let’s wait a couple of days to take one. I want to bring the two kids along for the photo too."
After all, taking a photo isn’t something you do on a whim.
Yang Zhiqiang had really forgotten about the kids, but he nodded with a smile upon hearing his wife’s suggestion.
After putting away the marriage certificate at home, they hurriedly returned home.
Yu Xiuqin still worried about her son. They rarely spent time apart, especially now that she was married. She wondered how the child felt about it. Regardless, he didn’t make a fuss.
On this special day, she intended to go back and comfort her son, knowing that the days ahead are still long.
They went directly to the Yu Family. The Yu Family knew they were coming today. Although it wasn’t an official homecoming banquet, it was the first time the new son-in-law was having a meal there, so they had prepared something.
The relationships in this world are such that it can never be one-sided. For a long-lasting relationship, both sides must be good to each other.
Xiao Fei saw his mom had returned. A smile appeared on his face, knowing she wouldn’t deceive him.
The Yu Family saw their daughter looking different, no longer with the same lament as before. Her face brimmed with more smiles, and her spirit seemed revitalized.
This was good. They knew about Yang Zhiqiang, with some outside opinions saying good things and others bad. Some said the problem lay with the woman, others said Yang Zhiqiang, upon securing a stable job, didn’t want his previous sloppy wife anymore.
The Yu Family had some worries; even though they didn’t intend to take advantage of the son-in-law, they also didn’t want him to become too distant from their family.
Seeing him today relieved their concerns. In reality, all the worries were unnecessary. Nothing beats a good relationship between the two.
After lunch, Yu Xiuqin rode her bicycle while Yang Zhiqiang gave Xiao Fei a lift, the family of three returning to the Yang Family.
Shubao didn’t feel anything significant since he had matured a lot after his parents’ divorce. He could understand and accept what his grandparents said.
At noon, the three of them had a meal together; as there was a feast yesterday, the meal today was still quite hearty. Hu Chunhua felt at ease watching his grandson eat happily.
Though he felt for his son getting remarried, afterward, he cared even more about his grandson.
When Yang Zhiqiang and his family of three returned, Yu Xiuqin holding Xiao Fei’s hand, they greeted the Yang Family couple.
Hu Chunhua had a big smile on his face, giving his daughter-in-law and grandson a red envelope.
"Now that you are a family, there will definitely be bumps along the way. You two must understand each other, as it’s not easy for anyone.
And regarding the two kids, there will be inevitable fights between them. You need to handle these yourselves.
Shubao, you’re the older brother, so give in to your younger brother a little. If he really does something wrong, you can tell your mom.
Xiao Fei, the same goes for you. If your brother bullies you, tell your dad."
Yu Xiuqin felt touched. Her mother-in-law really was a wise person.
"Mom, I will certainly be good to Shubao, just as I am to Xiao Fei."
Hu Chunhua nodded. "Good, that’s how it should be. Being able to come together is fate, so I hope you two cherish it."
Not seeking wealth, just hoping for a harmonious life.
"Also, you two should discuss having more children.
Only when you have kids of your own will your feelings differ."
Yu Xiuqin nodded, in fact, her mother had also mentioned before that they should have another child since, after all, neither of them was the children’s biological parent.
