Chapter 882 Solutions
Chapter 882: 882 Solutions
This time, Yuanyuan was not taking the lead; instead, the two economic officials were running the show. So, she could multitask.
She extended her Divine Sense, focusing on her enemies. To her surprise, she got some valuable information. "You little things, you can’t get away with anything."
She had already seen their confidential files, which was quite advantageous. In a while, she would have them burned, and since none of the scientists involved in the project came, once it’s burned, they would have nothing left. Trying to recover would be futile.
Now was the perfect timing. After all, she had memorized everything. So, the group watched as the box containing their confidential files began to emit thick smoke from the inside.
Everyone was dumbfounded, wondering what was happening. By the time they realized and tried to save the box, it was too late.
One of the security officers dashed over to open the box, and even the box itself caught fire.
Everyone in the room stared in a daze at this situation. They indeed believed in the supernatural since it happened right under their noses, eliminating any possibility of human intervention.
Thick smoke billowed, waking up those in the room. They opened windows and doors, and some tried to extinguish the fire, which also alerted the security personnel there.
The group managed to put out the fire, but they were also taken away.
Yuanyuan had been paying close attention to this matter, and a smile appeared on her lips. They were now charged with causing a disturbance. Due to the events earlier in the morning, there was substantial dissatisfaction. Now, with someone setting a fire, it was clearly an act of destruction, a provocation. So, the whole group was detained.
Xie Fenglan had been with Yuanyuan for over half a year. She could more or less sense the leader’s mood. Was this happiness? Indeed, it wasn’t easy. Such happiness was genuinely from her heart.
On this side, they had mostly reached some agreements, and there was high anticipation for the cooperation.
When both sides exited the conference room, they could smell the smoke, and significantly more guards were present.
Once the garrison heads of the two countries inquired about the situation and returned to report to the leaders, they did so holding back laughter.
The others left, but Yuanyuan and her team still had another group to meet.
It was the same this time. Yuanyuan sat on the side as decoration, yet she was up to mischief again.
Since they initially wanted her life, there was no way she wouldn’t retaliate. But these were minor figures, and it wasn’t enough to satisfy her grudge. To truly avenge, they’d have to wait for the big players to show up, including the person giving the orders. None could escape.
For now, causing them some trouble would be entertaining. So, she tampered with their documents. They were in for a show.
There was no lunch gathering, but it was expected that there would be a welcoming banquet in the evening. They eagerly anticipated everyone’s attendance.
This wasn’t their home base. Even if it were, Yuanyuan wasn’t afraid, as she exuded confidence.
The forum was also very successful, concluding an hour later, reaching five in the afternoon.
The staff came over to notify them of an evening gala.
"Everyone should go rest for a while," Yuanyuan implied there was no need for a meeting. It wasn’t urgent at all.
With the leader’s word, everyone dispersed. Xie Fenglan sat in front of Yuanyuan, discussing what had just happened.
"Hmm, we have to be careful here," Yuanyuan earnestly admonished.
Xie Fenglan held back her laughter, nodding, "Yes, leader, I’ll pass it on."
Yuanyuan sent them out. She took out paper and pen, ready to jot down their research findings. Just when one wants to sleep, a pillow is presented.
Feeling a bit apologetic, she thought their country should study it first. Such technology could not be too abundant, and now was the perfect time to bring it back for research.
Forty minutes later, Xie Fenglan knocked on the door, but Yuanyuan hadn’t finished writing yet.
"Wait for me outside for a quarter-hour."
Xie Fenglan obediently stood by the door, thinking the leader must be engaged in something important.
Once Yuanyuan finished the last stroke, she stretched her arms, truly exhausted. Trusting her memory, there couldn’t be any mistakes.
She didn’t bother changing clothes, going straight out. Her secretary and bodyguard were waiting outside.
The group gathered in a small conference room and then went down together.
Even though it was a gala, it was actually meant to create opportunities for everyone. Such an arrangement was quite considerate. When Yuanyuan came down, she attracted everyone’s attention.
After all, she was the only female officer among those in charge, and a young, attractive one at that.
The delicate features of an Oriental face were very captivating, especially given she was in uniform, exuding an aura of sacred dignity.
Her face bore a smile, and everything had a translator, preventing anyone from uttering complaints.
Nor did she give off an overbearing or arrogant vibe.
With two translators flanking her on either side, Yuanyuan listened to their innermost thoughts. Many were indeed sordid, but she wasn’t afraid. She had ways of dealing with them. The gala would include a dance segment.
Yuanyuan directly instructed the translators to refuse everyone. Her attire was the best protection. She sat to the side with her wine glass, not taking a sip, merely smiling as she watched the people on the dance floor.
"May I have the pleasure of inviting you to dance, beautiful lady?"
Without glancing at him, the translator directly declined, "Sir, apologies, our leader does not dance."
"Truly a pity. Then perhaps you could accompany a beautiful lady for a drink."
Yuanyuan already knew this man was the one who ordered her death. Now, he was testing her.
Yuanyuan kept her eyes fixed on the dance floor, ignoring him.
"Beautiful lady, your actions wound me deeply. I sincerely admire you."
Yuanyuan set down her wine glass, turning to look at Martin. She gestured for him to sit, but this time she didn’t even hold her wine glass. She merely sat there, smiling as she watched the dance floor, as if she were admiring something wonderful.
"Beautiful lady, even if you can’t dance, I can teach you," he offered.
After hearing the translator’s words, Yuanyuan shook her head; her refusal was unmistakable.
The song ended, and all the dancers returned to rest for a moment.
Some were invited to dance as well, and since a lady invited, they didn’t refuse.
Another song was about to start, and many came to extend invitations, only to be met with the same refusal.
Now, she prepared to leave; otherwise, the document in the afternoon would become inexplicable. As the music started again, Yuanyuan stood up, intending to leave.
Once she made a move, she knew someone would surely follow.
