Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?

Chapter 2074: Zephyrus’ Plan

Chapter 2074: Zephyrus’ Plan

-----

BOOOMMM!!!

A massive black fist clad in obsidian armor smashed into their defenses, hurling the entire group downward. They crashed violently into the ground as a tremendous explosion ripped through the dungeon, shattering half of it in seconds. Shockwaves tore through space itself while countless more blasts rained down as the monster descended, laughing wildly.

Lolth’s titanic fists slammed down again and again. Trapped in pure defense against such overwhelming power, the group could only endure as the relentless explosions eroded their barriers, shields, and spells.

The entire Stone Cathedral was nearly reduced to ruins. The group now stood in a vast, flat expanse of broken stone, desperately holding on as explosions chased them without mercy.

"D‑Damn it! We can’t keep this up!" Celeste screamed. "We’re not even fighting back!"

"What the hell can we do?!" Ruby cried, trembling. "That thing’s a god! How are we supposed to beat a god?!"

"No... that isn’t Lolth entirely. You heard her. That’s a divine avatar. Her true body isn’t here," Zephyrus said, clenching his teeth.

"You’re right!" Celica said, her eyes glowing brightly.

"If Lolth isn’t here and she’s using the curse, she’s likely its origin. I’d even say she might be the one inside the Dragon Tomb Dungeon," Zephyrus explained.

"Would that explain her strange new dragon appearance?" Mist wondered, narrowing her four eyes. "She’s coming again! Take this!"

She fired another powerful arrow, piercing Lolth’s left shoulder. A titanic explosion followed, tearing her arm apart and sending the divine avatar stumbling into the ground again.

"It’s down!" Mist shouted. "We have to either escape or kill it! What do we do?!"

"She must have absorbed the dragon monsters inside to recover after being wounded before," Zephyrus said. "But if this is a divine avatar, it holds part of her power. As she said, she forged it using her divinity. I learned a lot about divine beings during training. Their divinity is their greatest weapon, but also their lifeblood. Lolth is underestimating us. She thinks we can’t beat her, so she’s taking risks. If anything, she might be struggling somewhere. Maybe my sister or someone else is beating her down. She sent this envoy here specifically to devour us and gain strength."

"Zephyrus, you’re smart as hell!" Celeste said. "So what do you suggest?!"

At that moment, Zephyrus realized everyone was looking at him with hopeful eyes. They had once seen him as just a boy, but now he stood as a man — strong, sharp, and capable, like his father, mother, and sister.

"Do you trust me?" he asked, his eyes glowing.

The group hesitated only for a moment. As tremors shook the ground and Lolth began to recover, they nodded together. "Of course!"

Zephyrus’ eyes blazed brighter as he glared at Lolth. "Then I have a plan. Please trust me and do exactly as I say!"

"Okay! Not like we have any other choice!" Celeste said.

"And if we kill that thing, Lolth will weaken, right?" Celica asked.

"Might as well do it," Ruby nodded.

As they prepared, Lolth growled, standing tall and gazing into the distance. She stabbed her roots into the ground and began absorbing the dungeon’s Mana, infecting the core once more.

"Heheheh... yes, more! More power!"

Laughing, she rapidly regenerated and grew stronger. Her monstrous form shed pieces into black mist, except for the arm Mist had destroyed, which she abandoned. Slowly, her frame refined itself. She became a towering humanoid arachnid over a hundred meters tall. Eight arms, two long legs, a head with eight red eyes, sharp mandibles, dragon horns, scales, a tail, and wings sprouting from her back. Dragon‑shaped armor covered her entire body as she advanced.

Her hips swayed as she walked. Despite her aberrant form, Lolth had once been human, known as a seductress among the gods — one of the reasons she was exiled. Even now, twisted and monstrous, she clung to her identity as a beautiful and strong woman, smiling with delight at the thought of crushing and devouring these powerful beings, stealing the blessings the gods cherished.

"Once I feast on your corpses, devour your souls, and weaponize those blessings, I will become unstoppable!" she laughed. "Especially you, little Saintess of Spirits. Your power will elevate me to a new level entirely! Now come out of your bubble and fight me like you mean it!"

She darted forward, her massive body moving faster than anyone expected. Her claws slammed down, shattering the Orichalcum and Holy Magic barrier — only to find a single person inside.

"..."

"Huh? The boy?"

Her face twisted in disgust, her eyebrow twitching. His appearance reminded her too much of Her — that detestable girl with infinite mana. Rage boiled in her blood. She knew this was likely her little brother, a boy she had dismissed as worthless. Yet now he had aged far more than she imagined, and above all, he stood bravely before her.

"Where are the others, boy?"

"Nowhere. They ran away."

"...Hah?!"

"I will be your opponent, Evil Goddess of Spiders. Lolth!"

"Don’t make me laugh!"

RUMBLE!

Their auras surged and clashed. The ground shattered beneath them as their power skyrocketed. Zephyrus covered himself in Orichalcum Phoenix Armor, pushing his limits. Then he fused with his Phoenix Familiar, overflowing with power until even his appearance changed.

He suddenly looked older, long hair flowing behind him as his wings expanded. His frame grew taller and more muscular. His sharp elven ears sprouted golden feathers, and his eyes burned with divine fire.

"That power... Pseudo‑Divinity? A spark maybe? Hahaha! Pathetic!"

"See for yourself how pathetic I am!"

Zephyrus charged, splitting the ground behind him. His golden sword gleamed with divinity as he swung it. A horizontal slash of golden flames struck her. Her armor resisted, and she countered with a punch that sent him crashing into the floor.

BOOOM!

"Weak! Not even worth my time— Ungh?!"

To her shock, the young man wasn’t as weak as she thought. Even if he was a bug before her, he was a bug that stung.

Her hand was crushed. Giant golden sword‑shaped feathers pierced through it, tearing it apart as purple blood poured out.
