Chapter 2122: The Strange Monster

As the heroes soared into the skies, a group of monsters rampaged through the city, destroying everything in their path. Meanwhile, the knights and magicians worked desperately to suppress them without killing them, since these creatures were once civilians.

"We must suppress them quickly!"

"They’re still incredibly powerful. The curse keeps evolving and growing stronger despite the King’s granddaughter’s attempts to heal them!"

"Are you kidding me? Then what are we supposed to do, Captain?"

The captain of the Yggdrasil Knights Squad clenched his teeth. He was a tall man with a large pair of beautiful azure-purple fairy wings, short purple hair, and sharp green eyes. "We cannot possibly kill them. The King’s orders are absolute. Use the Sealing Artifacts!"

The knights coordinated their efforts, channeling sealing magic through massive cube-shaped artifacts. They managed to trap several of the monsters, confining them within small isolated areas and immobilizing them.

However, a much larger one roared furiously and swung its gigantic metallic mechanical hands, sending the sealing artifacts flying away in all directions.

"Who is that?!"

"Damn it, it’s really strong!"

"As strong as the strongest intelligent bosses!"

"GRAAAHHHH! WHERE’S...! WHERE’S MY SON...?!"

The creature continued roaring monstrously while crying tears of black miasma. Flames of chaos surged wildly from its body. It resembled a massive, skinny humanoid with a long beak-like nose, a beard made of black and purple crystals, and burning flames of chaos element blazing where its head should be.

His formerly prosthetic hand had merged with his flesh, blood, and the curse itself, accidentally transforming into an incredibly strong cursed divine artifact. What’s more, because of his strange and stubborn personality, the curse continued to develop and evolve rapidly within him. Even though the "cure" conjured by Sylphy fought back, it could not keep up.

"GIVE ME MY SON... MY WIFE...! I MISS... MY WIFEEEEE!!!"

He screamed with overwhelming anger and fury. His giant mechanical hands opened up into massive magical cannons, charging energy before firing powerful beams of chaotic and cursed flames. The blasts erupted violently and vaporized dozens of houses in an instant.

"Kuaaaaagghh!"

Even the knights and archmagi struggled to handle this threat without resorting to lethal force. Their barriers shattered under the assault, and their techniques were parried by his powerful claws.

"YOU... LITTLE ANTS! BEGONE!"

The giant monster roared and raised his hand, suddenly conjuring a massive hammer formed from the surrounding rubble. He fused it into a gigantic cursed divine weapon.

"A-Are you kidding me?!"

CRAAASH!

RUMBLE!

A massive earthquake erupted across the area. Miasmic crystals surged from the ground. The knights and archmagi quickly escaped, but some were struck and sent flying, crashing hard into the distance.

The curse was deadly, and while they possessed countermeasures, this particular monster was an anomaly among anomalies. It was as if, even before being turned into a monster, he had already been consumed by his own rage, depression, guilt, grief, and self-hatred.

"NNNGGH...! WHERE’S... MY FAMILY..."

The giant cried tears of miasma and clenched his teeth tightly as he looked toward the sky at the massive entity reaching into it. His eyes gleamed for a moment as he gripped his hammer with renewed strength.

"I WILL ERASE EVERYTHING!!!"

It was Dimenion.

A massive monstrous being composed of nebulae-like divine spiritual energy, containing many powerful Divine Authorities stacked together. His body constantly expanded across the skies while thunder crackled and fell everywhere. His power continued growing as he absorbed the ambient energy around him.

With no visible weakness or core in sight, defeating him in this form seemed nearly impossible. He appeared truly unstoppable.

"Stop that monster!"

"Where are you going?!"

"MONSTER... KILLS...! MONSTER GO AWAY...!"

The giant in the city leaped higher, shattering the ground beneath him and leaving a massive burning crater. He reached Dimenion faster than anyone else could.

Everyone’s eyes widened as they witnessed the mysterious monster closing in.

"Huh?! Who are you?"

Dimenion was shocked that such a strange monster with overwhelming power had been born. But he quickly dismissed it when he noticed Sylphy and the others flying higher into the skies.

"Well, no matter. Begone."

A giant thunderbolt struck the monster, frying it alive before it could do anything more.

"Gaaaaahhhhhh!"

He screamed in agony at the same time as Sylphy and her many friends reached Dimenion in the skies. They realized his thunder was falling everywhere, constantly destroying mountains in the distance.

"The mountain!"

She quickly poured her power outward, expanding her Yggdragon Aura and fusing it with her Shield’s powers to create a giant fortress.

"Primordial Yggdragon Multi-Elemental Fortress Domain!"

FLAAASH!

The domain expanded like a fortress of countless colors, protecting the entire mountain from danger. Dimenion’s thunderbolts descended but were quickly blocked thanks to her efforts.

"That will be futile. Everything will end now!"

Dimenion laughed as his power exploded outward, gathering into a gigantic sphere of pure destructive void energy. He charged it constantly, relentlessly, and endlessly. The sphere swelled massively, reaching a gigantic and ridiculous size.

Everyone gasped and looked into the skies in disbelief as the self-proclaimed god laughed.

"THIS IS THE JUDGEMENT OF THE GODS AGAINST YOU, PITIFUL HUMANS!!!"

Lolth’s presence panicked. Her divine power tried to escape, but she found herself sealed within her own dungeon.

"Lord Dimenion! Wait! You’re going to destroy me as well! I am your master’s collaborator! He needs my help!"

"I DON’T CARE ANYMORE ABOUT YOU, LOLTH. AND MASTER? HE WILL SURELY FIND ANOTHER WAY!"

"Y-You’re crazy!"

"I WILL NOT ALLOW THESE MORTALS TO HUMILIATE ME ANYMORE!!!"

Dimenion roared, warping space and transforming the skies into an endless cosmos. The mountains destroyed by his thunderbolts floated higher, turning into endless meteors. At the same time, thousands of smaller spheres appeared everywhere like gigantic stars descending toward the entire land.

"YOU WILL ALL DIE TODAY, HUMANS!!!"

With furious, godly anger, Dimenion declared war against all humans. This had never happened before in the history of humanity. Never had a god acted in such a way, at least not like this.

"Are you seeing this, Evil God of Dungeons? Is this what you wanted?!" Sylphy roared as she rose higher and higher with her friends. "Your ’son’ has completely gone nuts now! Congratulations, you’re a terrible father!"

Suddenly, responding to Sylphy’s Divine Voice, a giant ghost manifested behind her. Her eyes widened for a moment as she recognized the being.

"He has certainly grown past his expiration date... oh well, I’m leaving it to you anyway! It was fun. That battle really gave me a lot to learn. I don’t really care about anything though, so if you die or not, or anybody here... that’s fine."
