Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?

Chapter 2175: That Sole Act Of Kindness Saved You

Chapter 2175: That Sole Act Of Kindness Saved You

-----

To the surprise of everyone witnessing this, I boldly stepped forward. Instead of always choosing to speak like before, I decided to beat the hell out of Lolth for ever daring to think she could convince us with whatever bullshit she was trying to make us believe.

At this point it had become incredibly clear to me that Lolth was completely trying to bullshit her way out of this situation, and that she deserved no forgiveness nor any kind of empathy. I took no time to rest nor warned anybody around me. I simply rushed forward, struck her down with my blazing sword, and then fought her head-on without the slightest trace of fear.

My Weredragon form was unmatched even without turning into a full dragon. With Lolth already so weakened and unable to muster enough divine power to overwhelm me, I was able to beat her even in what was supposed to be her strongest form ever.

I pinned her down with overwhelming force, shattered her Divine Domain into scattered fragments of broken light, cut through her massive body again and again, and tore her limb from limb until she could no longer fight back. Then, when she was finally below me with her life completely under my own control, she became surprisingly talkative and far more honest. Who would have thought that would happen?

It was revealed that the figures she seemed to worship so carefully were actually her previous form, or rather, her original human appearance. I ended up learning that it was because of her previous identity that she was able to somewhat relate with Ruby. Out of nowhere she had performed an unexpected act of kindness.

But I believe it was not completely just because of that soft moment of recognition. Yggdrasil and the other Spirit Gods had been present back then. If she had ever dared to do anything truly rash in their presence, both her dungeon and herself would have been vaporized completely without any chance of escape.

Thus she decided to perform a "good act of kindness" before kindly disappearing and pretending she had never been there at all. The choice was driven mostly by fear rather than any pure change of heart.

Still, an act of kindness remains an act of kindness no matter what sort of intentions hide behind it. It was a genuine good deed, even if she only did it out of fear for her own survival.

I will recognize that fact. Perhaps that is the very reason, the single fragile reason, that I will forgive her life and not cut her down into pieces right now and use her as an ingredient for a new living weapon.

Because really, I was already planning to turn her into some kind of spear, a trident, or even a full set of spider goddess armor... yet I realized she would still be far more useful alive than turned into mere armor and a weapon.

As I confronted her about her past and tried to learn more about who she really was, Lolth grew increasingly annoyed and began crying in a pathetic, broken manner.

"It doesn’t matter; it’s thousands of years in the past! None of that matters anymore..." she sighed while shaking her head weakly. "Are you speaking about this just to mock me more? To laugh about what I once was?"

"Why would I laugh about that?!" I asked angrily, my voice rising with genuine frustration. "My beloved friend might share some similarities with you, but you’re not like her, nor would Ruby ever become like you! Ruby might have her rougher edges, and she was a little rude back then, but... she’s a nice girl, and I know she’ll never fall as deep as you did..."

"..." Lolth fell completely silent. Her form slowly shifted into some kind of half-human and half-spider shape. This was actually because she was so thoroughly weakened after I had cut down her limbs. "So what... are you going to do now...?!"

"At the end of the day, knowing or not knowing how you looked or whether you were a man or not doesn’t matter to me at all," I said firmly.

"...?" Lolth raised an eyebrow, clearly confused by my words.

"However..." I looked straight into her eyes with unwavering intensity. "That sole act of kindness just saved your ass."

"W-What?" Lolth’s eyes widened in sudden shock. "A-Are you going to forgive me—" her voice, full of rising excitement and fragile hope, was cut short by my furious roar.

"No! I genuinely don’t think you’re redeemable!" I roared so loudly that my sword almost cut her head off in the heat of the moment. "But... but I am going to use force to make you submit, and I’ll use your power to save people and innocents. That’s exactly what I’m going to do."

"H-Huh?" Lolth could not comprehend what I meant. Her expression twisted with growing panic. "W-Wha... What... do you mean with... that?"

"I meant exactly what I said!" I roared again. "Your power is still vast, and you’ll be far more useful alive than dead."

Lolth attempted to step back. What remained of her limbs tried to scuttle away from me in desperation, but she was completely unable to escape. My weight, the crushing pressure of my divinity, and the overwhelming force of my draconic power were simply too vast for her current state.

She could not do a single thing to resist.

"Y-You...! So that’s why you’ve weakened me. You’re going to— No...! Wait! Everything but that!" she screamed in pure horror as she finally began to realize what I truly intended.

"Everything but that?" I asked while furrowing my eyebrows. "Well, I’m glad you’ll dislike it so much. That only makes it an even better punishment!"

Without any further hesitation, I pierced her Divine Core with my hand.

FLASH!

The World around me warped for a moment.

Suddenly, I saw someone crying in the center of room, a room that I had only seen before in the memories of Nephilim.
