Chapter 321: COUNTER INVASION III
Chapter 321: COUNTER INVASION III
"You bastard! Fight like a man!" the titan growled in anger, feeling a weird sensation within his ears.
Frustration boiled in his chest, the intrusive tickle turning to sharp discomfort, his massive hands clawing futilely at his head.
"I am! Except I’m fighting a titan!" Ego replied, laughing while within the ear canals of the general.
His voice reverberated in the enclosed space, amplified and taunting, the sound bouncing off the moist walls.
With his claws, he made sure to sever anything that looked important within the ears.
He slashed indiscriminately, tearing through delicate membranes and vessels, blood spraying in warm spurts that coated his fur.
Any blood vessels, any strange-looking tissues, Ego ensured he destroyed them all.
The carnage was methodical, each rip and slice sending jolts of pain through the titan, the metallic tang of blood filling the narrow passage.
"Aarghhhh!" the titan groaned, feeling more discomfort the longer Ego stayed within his ears.
Agony built like a crescendo, his balance wavering as equilibrium shattered, hands pressing against his temples in vain.
"Will you look at this. Your brains are so large, man," Ego said with a smile on his face.
Amusement laced his tone, the vast gray matter unfolding before him like a grotesque landscape, pulsing faintly in the dim internal light.
Through the ears of the general, after so much persistence, he arrived at the general’s brain.
The journey ended in a squelch of breached tissue, the humid warmth enveloping him as he landed on the soft, convoluted surface.
"I should be going all out here," Ego muttered, slowly transforming into his true werewolf form.
Power surged through him, bones reshaping with audible cracks, the shift intensifying the feral gleam in his eyes.
Ego fell on all fours.
His eyes had a more menacing glow, and the aura he radiated looked more dangerous.
Fur bristled along his spine, muscles coiled like springs, the air around him thickening with primal menace.
With a large howl, Ego went ahead to enjoy himself, devouring the brain of the titan.
The cry echoed outward, muffled but piercing, as he tore into the flesh with savage bites, blood dripping from his maw in the throes of euphoric destruction.
---
King damaged the right eye of the titan, causing it to scream in pain.
One he had never felt before.
The agony ripped through the titan’s skull, a blinding fire that made his vision swim in red haze, his roar shaking the nearby structures.
The titan, realizing his size would make things more difficult against an opponent like King, shrank his body quickly until he was in his smallest form.
His frame compressed with a series of grinding pops, the air displacing around him as he adapted to the threat.
King, noticing the shrink, jumped down before the titan was in his smallest form.
He landed with a controlled thud, chains retracting slightly, his eyes tracking the transformation with cool assessment.
"You bastard! I swear I will kill you!" the titan threatened, voice now a higher pitch but no less venomous, spittle flying from his lips in rage.
But King wasn’t moved by that titan’s threat.
Indifference settled over his features, a faint smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth, the words washing over him like insignificant noise.
Taking a deep breath, he held his chains firmly.
His chest expanded, drawing in the battle-scented air, fingers wrapping tighter around the links that pulsed with latent power.
The chains started burning in flames, King had activated his bloodline.
Crimson fire erupted along the metal, heat radiating outward in waves that distorted the air, the flames dancing with an inner hunger.
The titan closed his fist, destruction element swirling around the fists.
Dark energy coiled like smoke, crackling with destructive potential, his knuckles whitening under the strain.
Making the first move, the titan threw a punch toward King.
The blow hurtled forward with explosive speed, the air compressing in its path, aimed to pulverize.
King dodged the punch by bending his upper body.
He arched backward with fluid grace, the fist grazing his chest close enough to feel the rush of wind, his hair fluttering from the near-miss.
With his chains, King wrapped the stretched hand of the titan.
The flaming links snaked around the arm in a blur, binding tight with a sizzle against flesh.
With calculated cruelty, King tightened the chain.
The grip constricted like a vice, flames searing skin, the titan’s arm buckling under the pressure.
He swung his chain, smashing the titan to the ground.
The motion was powerful, hurling the body downward with a bone-jarring impact that cratered the stone, dust exploding upward.
"Urgh!" the titan groaned in pain, the sound guttural, body twitching from the shock as he pushed himself up slowly.
He stood up to his feet, staring at King murderously.
Hatred burned in his eyes, veins throbbing in his neck, posture rigid with unbridled fury.
"You don’t have the right to give me that look," King said coldly, his tone like chilled steel, eyes narrowing with disdain.
King threw his twin blades toward the leg of the titan.
The weapons spun through the air, chains trailing like fiery comets, aimed with lethal precision.
The titan jumped, escaping the blades.
He leaped upward, boots leaving imprints in the ground, evading the initial strike with a grunt of effort.
The chain, though, at the last minute changed its course, going straight for the unguarded abdomen of the titan.
It veered sharply, guided by King’s will, piercing through with a wet thunk.
The twin blades pierced through the abdomen, leaving the titan’s body from the other end.
Blood sprayed in arcs, the wound gaping, internal heat meeting the cool air in steamy wisps.
"Urgh!" the titan groaned, trying to pull out the chains, but found himself getting weaker as time passed by, while feeling more vigor from the chain.
Strength ebbed from his limbs, the flames siphoning his essence, dizziness clouding his vision.
His eyes slowly began to close, as he slowly lost his consciousness until he fell to the ground dead.
The body slumped with a final thud, lifeless eyes staring blankly at the sky, the chains retracting with a satisfied hiss.
"Quite the feast," King muttered, his eyes falling on the next titan.
Satisfaction warmed him, the absorbed energy buzzing in his veins, sharpening his senses for the next prey.
"He’s not doing bad himself," King muttered, watching Kelvin with intrigue.
A nod of approval crossed his features, the scene unfolding with impressive efficiency.
