Chapter 478: X INVASION

Chapter 478: X INVASION

Every sovereign across the vast universe suddenly paused.

A single, heavy question hung in the air among them. What was going on?

They did not have to wonder long.

With a violent, deafening rip that echoed through the cosmos, the very veil of the universe tore wide open. Shimmering edges of reality crackled and bled raw cosmic energy as the breach widened.

Through that gaping wound poured mechanical beings of every form and kind, sleek chrome drones, hulking armored titans, and elegant constructs bristling with glowing circuits.

Their metallic bodies hummed with cold, relentless power.

"What the hell is happening? Are we being invaded?" Lucifer demanded, irritation carving sharp lines across his face, his crimson eyes narrowing in barely contained fury.

"It may appear so," Mephistopheles answered with a slow, deliberate nod.

His gaze remained locked on the endless stream of invaders pouring through the torn veil, their numbers swelling by the second.

"Baal. I have come to reclaim an old debt by myself."

The robotic, monochromatic voice of X sliced through the silence, reaching the ears of every sovereign present like grinding steel.

"X. What are you doing here?" Baal frowned deeply, his voice tight as he addressed the towering invader.

"What does it look like? I’m claiming your universe as collateral for the unpaid debt," X replied flatly.

X remained seated on his throne,.a massive mechanical fortress of dark alloy and pulsing energy cores that radiated raw power and absolute authority.

The structure loomed like a living weapon, humming faintly in the void.

"Although, I doubt there’s much I can gain from a universe already on its last legs," X added, his tone dripping with casual disdain.

"Just go back the same way you came," Baal said, forcing his voice into something close to calm. "I will ensure the debts are paid. Now is not the time for your visit."

He hid the swelling rage in his heart behind a mask of diplomacy, fists clenched at his sides.

"Time for diplomacy has long passed," X dismissed him with a casual wave of his metallic hand. "What I want now is war."

"Attack!"

The single command rang out like a death knell.

"You arrogant prick!" Belphegor snarled, his voice thick with venom.

The Prince of Hell launched forward, wings unfurling in a burst of dark fire.

He stretched out his hand, hellish flames roaring to life around his fingers in a blazing inferno.

Belphegor had endured enough arrogant fools strutting through the realms, time and time again.

X was the final straw that shattered his last shred of restraint.

X stared at the charging devil, his mechanical face perfectly neutral, unmoved.

"Devils. I never liked your lot anyway," he muttered in open disgust, watching Belphegor close the distance with cold detachment.

Belphegor thrust his claw forward, stopping just an inch from X’s face, victory gleaming in his burning eyes.

"Hell Flames Soul Devourer!" the devil roared, certain success was his.

"Fool."

That single word was the last thing Belphegor ever heard.

A blinding flash consumed him.

In an instant, the Prince of Hell disintegrated into absolute nothingness, leaving only drifting embers that faded into the void.

"A1. Dispose of every devil prince and princess," X ordered his second-in-command without emotion. "Spare only Mephistopheles."

"As you command," A1 replied with a crisp nod. Six lethal blasters materialized across his armored frame, each one locked onto the remaining devil lords.

A1 fired without hesitation

. Accelerated protons screamed from the barrels of his proton accelerators, streaking forward at the speed of light in searing blue lances.

The deadly beams struck every devil lord before they could even flinch.

One after another, the royal devils, aside from Lilith, vanished in silent explosions of light and ash.

"Hmm? You impede my justice?" X asked, his gaze shifting to Aaron, the sole reason Lilith still drew breath.

"Yeah. Sure, she’s annoying and quite useless," Aaron answered coldly, his voice steady and unyielding.

"But she’s still under my control. No one, absolutely no one, has the right to touch anybody under my rule."

The proton blast hurtling toward Lilith froze mid-air, suspended in a bubble of distorted time.

With a casual snap of his fingers, Aaron hurled it into oblivion, erasing it completely.

"And who are you?" X asked, genuine intrigue coloring his monotone voice.

Aaron’s sheer arrogance had caught his attention.

"Someone who doesn’t like being challenged," Aaron replied simply.

In the next heartbeat, Aaron void-stepped.

Shadows rippled around him as he appeared directly behind A1.

Before the mechanical lieutenant could react, Aaron froze him in a cage of stopped time.

"An important lesson. Hopefully you can use it wherever you’re going," Aaron said, his tone calm yet final. "Don’t you ever mess with what’s mine."

With a sharp snap, he wiped A1 from existence.

The second-in-command dissolved into nothingness, erased from space and time entirely.

X watched the entire ordeal unfold, a slow smile spreading across his metallic features.

"Hah. To think this universe still has someone with balls," X laughed, the sound deep and mechanical. "How impressive."

"X. We can still complete the deal," Baal cut in quickly, his voice laced with desperate cunning. "Dracula is right there for your taking."

"Dracula? Ha. No wonder your universe is such a mess. He resurrected," X laughed again, seeing straight through the clumsy ploy.

"Very well. I will be taking Dracula," X declared, his finger rising to point directly at Aaron, "and him as interest for disappointing me."

"Slow down, terminator. I’m not for sale," Aaron shot back.

He void-stepped once more, materializing right in front of X.

Tendrils of pure shadow coiled and solidified beneath him, forming a dark throne that matched the invader’s in regal menace.

Aaron sat down with effortless arrogance.

"How about you accept my condition instead?" Aaron asked, leaning forward slightly.

"And what might that be?"

"Simple. You submit to me,.as well as your entire universe,.and I protect you from everything. Refuse, and you die while I claim your universe anyway," Aaron stated, laying the offer on the table with cold finality.

The air between them crackled with raw tension, the torn veil still pulsing in the distance as the mechanical horde waited in perfect silence.
